On the outskirts of Urbus lies a small building that to most players, it seems to be just a part of the town's scenery although when the shop is searched for, it breaks out a like a sore spot. It lies on the other side of the town border so that it is accessible to both green and yellow cursor-ed players. Inside the establishment lies a cafe that is simple in its design. A small table with the a leather booth style seat lining the corners and the walls similar to a couch and on the sides touching nothing, a few oak chairs facing said table. The main exhibit however lies on the redwood counter where a raven haired girl sleeps while situated upon a swivel chair, along with a small bell on said counter for the purpose of waking her up from her slumber. This counter exists on the backside of the place. In large print from a sign hanging from the ceiling that states the following words to any customers.

Finally. Kotori had become a cook and was able to finally own her very own shop. It was so dainty although a bit small for a building on this floor. It was nice to have a place to be alone and not have to be suspicious of others every waking moment. It was a bit chilly and the only light source came from a lantern on the west wall. This place was where she could know that nothing bad was happening and that she could take a rest without having to worry about people waking her up. Nevertheless, it was time to start making her goods. Hopefully she could have some beginner's luck and actually create an item that would give buffs to players when eaten. That was the problem however. She wasn't sure how to make a food that would have enchancements so she had to settle for a regular food.Oddly there was a recipe for bread that invovled simply baking wheat and then bread was formed from the heated plant. Taking the wheat that she had found on her material gathering quest, the girl did as stated as she read from the default recipes printed in the small handbook in the shop. Heating the grass in a small firewood powered oven, the materials formed into a loaf of bread. Nothing else. It was better than nothing at least, so she did this again for the second time in a row. Bread was useful for some purposes, she had heard that good food items with no buffs was actually needed for taming a monster so maybe it would be good for some purpose.

Kotori found herself crafting again with the intent on making actual food. If she was actually going to be able to sell anything, it would start actually trying hard to do so. It was simple really, all she needed to do was smash a few of the blueberries that were in her possession into jam that could possibly give a health bonus to the users. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case as after she pounded the berries into said substance, the interface declared it a failure and it wasn't a valid material. Great. Not only had she failed at making a simple food, she lost two valuable materials that could have been used somewhere else.

Kotori continued on with her daily crafting as she grabbed another batch of materials to mix up in another attempt to create a valid food with buffs or enchancements as she usually called them when speaking to others. It was another try to create jelly that would actually satisfy the tastes of other players. She did the usual when making jelly and that was to beat up the berries with a wooden tube without a hole and then mix with a wooden spoon. Maybe the food was a bit to simple for the game to let it have buffs because it ended up as a good item just like the bread she had made a few days ago. Great. She would have to wait till tomorrow to try again at it.

Kotori  decided to start and end another day with a good craft simply because she had no luck at all with her recent ones. It would be nice to get an echanted food, but she had no luck so far on that either. Starting off with trying to bake a few more bushels of wheat into bread, the girl inserted said items into the stove and waiting for a few minutes. It was a game of luck from her experience so she would need to hope for the best and find out. Although she was most likely just unlucky as she ended with complete garbage in store for the next craft which would come soon. Grabbing a mushroom and a few other ingredients, the girl begin slicing and cutting the items in attempt to make a sandwich that would give health when eaten. It was unbelievable when she found herself with a perfect item in the end with three well-fed buffs added to it. She had actually went and created something with value to it and it made her fill with joy. She was also one point away from leveling up her cooking skill which would give her more crafts and better luck in creating food.

Kotori gave a light sigh she continued on with her daily craft to perfect her work. She was doing pretty good for someone so new to the business and maybe if she tried hard enough, she would be able to actually do something productive with being a cook and all. There weren't a lot of people searching for food-related items, but her cafe was there just in case anybody did want to purchase something. Starting off with a bad start it would seem as Kotori made herself a failed loaf of bread, it just came out soggy and nasty. She seemed to have better luck with her second craft as she was able to properly make herself a cake and it came out with a few buffs. Quickly adding them, she added the cake to her shelf before going to sleep on her desk.

Oikawa had been to this shop previously before but for a different reason. Today however, he planned on making a few orders, and maybe buying some jelly for his very bland bread. Entering the shop, he took note of the snoozing raven-haired girl behind the counter. Rather than using the bell, he gently tapped her awake and whispered. "Hey they're sleepy head I want to make an order and a purchase." Placing four papers on her counter, he walked over to her shelf and grabbed both jars of blueberry jelly. Returning to her he placed them on the counter an spoke. "I'd like to have some fruit snacks made and I would like to purchase both jars of jelly please!"

Kotori let out a quiet yawn as she found herself being awoken by a boy she couldn't quite make out. Rubbing her eyes and letting the light fill her eyes, she found that it was in fact Oikawa standing in front of her ready to purchase a few items at hand. She was still very exhausted so she muttered "Yeah.." as she straightened herself up on the chair she sat on. She took the Col that the boy was putting in front of her face and accepted the order to produce these snacks for him. She would need a bit of lucky and hard work to do this considering it was four perfect items, but she could manage it with the right tools. Hopefully she could do these by the end of the week although she didn't know when it would be finished.

Kotori herself attempting to create Oikawa's order as she woke up that day. It was a simple order really or she thought when she went to her backroom to start cooking up a dessert for her close friend. Simply she started to mash up a bunch of various fruits she had laying around while adding in a bit of gelatin to the mix before putting in a bit of sugar and she had her item. Then she baked it for few minutes before taking it out and looking at her creation. It didn't look like fruit snacks at all, it resembled more of the typical Jell-O that were found in supermarkets. It still seemed to have be a good creation anyway though so she put it on her shelf for any possible buyers.

 

Her next attempt was easily done as she decided to go with an easy craft and make bread. Still, she wanted to mix up the treat a bit by adding a few ferment grapes in the mix before baking it in her oven. It came out stunning although she couldn't know exactly how it would taste. It looked delicious however so maybe it wasn't a big deal. Finally she tried to end the day with a bang by baking another cake but it seemed it wouldn't be as she messed up her last attempt and it came out ugly. Luckily she was able to salvage the treat for another day.

Zelrius walked into the bakery. He sniffed the air, and his arrogant smirk was replaced with a joyful grin, something that did not happen very often. He meandered about for a second, browsing what there was, and finally made up his order. "I would like one Chocolate Cake. Make it Party sized, I want it big. Lots of people attending this event."

Kotori woke up to the sound of the door opening as she found herself faced with a customer, an actual one this time besides Oikawa just trying to help her out, she assumed. He seemed to be surveying her various products before finally choosing to settle on one that caught his eye. It was the chocolate cake she made a few days ago. Perhaps it was for a birthday party or he simply wanted it for himself, she decided to answer his request. "Luckily for you, I have one up in stock that you can buy if you want. It has a few buffs, just note that the first person to eat will have them, the cake will just be cake for everyone else that decides to take a slice." she added in to make sure that the boy knew who to give the cake first too.

It was another day for crafting as the girl found herself crafting another batch of miscellaneous food items to put for a sale. She had finished with one order although she would need to work on a certain's boy request for a certain food. Still, that would be put off for a little bit until she was able to actually attempt said order. Kotori found herself melting the insides of cocoa beans in the attempts of actually making some sort of snack or dessert for buyers to enjoy although her try ended in a failure as she put the mixture on the oven for way more time than was needed which ended with a poorly made item that couldn't be salvaged. Her next attempt was pretty simply as she got mixture and then baked instead of heating it up. Her previous mistake ended up repeating itself and the result came out crappier than before. Her last attempt was one of carefulness as she cracked open the beans before pouring the substance into the battered bowl she had in stock. Mixing it with a bit of milk, the amateur cook grabbed the cocoa and poured into ball shaped trays before stuffing said tray into an oven to bake. Ding. The chocolate balls were ready and they actually looked really delicious. It was somewhat of a satisfactory product so she decided to end the day there.

It would be another day of crafting and what not after another long hiatus. The profession seemed to be lacking something although she just couldn't put her finger on it. It was evasive what she was feeling about her status, but it couldn't be fixed even if she wanted to do so. Her new fixation was making an extra batch of bread in case Oikawa ever came around to buy a couple of more, although he had only bought from her store once. It was a shame that nobody seemed to want to buy anything from here, possibly because the follow-up of cafe opening after she made her own. It was around this point that Kotori saw her profession to be more of a chore than something she for fun or for business. As she finished up her recent craft of just regular plain bread, the girl couldn't help but feel regretful for going on that quest to become a cook.

Another delay and it would seem Kotori would just go out of business. Of course this wasn't the real world and she didn't really have to go and craft items at all, it was just a hobby although something she wished she had kept going with. There was a bit of a desire of in her still left to continue with her crafts so that is what she did. She was having no luck creating Oikawa's order as it seems she wasn't doing as well as she used so instead of continuing on that, she instead decided to create another bag of chocolates. Bashing up the dark brown cocoa beans into a mix that she could use before pouring a bit of milk in the mix and then pouring it into a template with small half sphere indentations on it. She put this tray into the oven for a few minutes to bake them and then took the sweets and putting them into a bag. It was nice seeing how it turned somewhat okay.

Kotori continued on with her crafts but she just couldn't get it together. It was difficult in how to go about making the fruit snacks and she couldn't wrap her mind around as easily as she did for a few others. Instead of wasting precious time in producing Oikawa's order, she decided to end her crafting early and instead finish off with some sort of item. Instead she decided to make bread another time to keep her mind off. She proceeded to follow the recipe on how she did so before and finally was able to produce the product once again. Finally, she closed up shop to rest her sleepy head onto the swivel chair and calling it a night.
