Jomei stood up and wiped the dirt off of his pants. He was grinning and he chuckled. "As id Id really go down that quickly."  He stood up straight and ran forward again. The minotaur took a few large steps forward and let out a vicious roar as Jomei approached. The minotaur swung its large axe horizontally at Jomei, which he easily blocked with his shield. Jomei returned the favor by thrusting his sword forward, piercing the beast in the chest. The minotaur followed through with its attack by attempting to bash Jomei with the end of the handle of his axe. Again, Jomei easily was able to block it with his shield, returning the favor by piercing him again in the gut. This continued on, as the two exchanged blows. The minotaur rose its axe high with a roar and brought its blade down hard to slice Jomei. He jumped to the side and pressed his shield into the minotaur's face, which was now lowered down to his level from slicing with his axe. As the skin on its forehead began to singe, it snorted and threw its head to the side, moving Jomei out of the way. As he stumbled to the side, the minotaur took another quick slash at Jomei, cutting at a bit of his arm.

"If you're not careful that thing will ride you like a donkey towards the Sunset." He chuckled as the Minotaur roared in his face, Ssendom brought his greatsword sideways and swung it with his entire body throwing the Minotaur away from the entrance to the Hoya. His back was up to Jomei's, he wasn't worried about anything striking him from behind but this was an advantageous position for both of them. "Keep it up though, I'll keep it's attention. When you kill yours go inside for the item, this one is yours. I'll be coming back another time for it, I just came for the hunt!" He shouted in a malicious voice, he then charged and tackled the Minotaur far away from Jomei leaving him some breathing room to be able to obtain the item that they had come for.

Jomei held his sword at the ready, glaring down his enemy. He felt the sudden weight of something pressing into his back with the sound of metal clanking around. He looked over his shoulder to see Ssendom there. As he told him his idea, Jomei nodded in agreement. "Alright. Sounds like a plan." He chuckled. "And if you're still having trouble when I come back out, I can finish the job for you." Then as fast as he showed up, he was already tackling the minotaur again. He turned back to his minotaur. He spun his sword in his hand. They ran towards each other and began exchanging blows. The sound of metal on metal filled the air as the two were evenly matched in their strikes, neither able to gain the upper hand over the other. For a large axe, this minotaur was able to wield it as if it were a short sword.

As Ssendom ran it into a tree he began to pick his blade up but the Minotaur slammed it's knee into his chest stopping him from getting a good angle of an attack on the Minotaur. It pushed him off and slammed the ax on Ssendom's shoulder. As the blade contacted the beast expected the blade to dig deep into him, but it stopped right as it collided with the armor. "You'll have to try harder than that you worthless critter." He mocked it with a dark and eerie voice, then he made a gesture with his hand to tell the beast to come on, "Lets tango, I'm not entertained enough maggot." He had gained a considerable amount of distance from Jomei so he didn't have to withhold the way he acted against the Minotaur, he could succumb to his bloodlust without the oversight of someone else watching over him.

The two continued to exchange blows. "Im getting tired of this" Jomei smirked. The Minotaur took a step back and attempted to swipe at Jomei's legs with the blade of his axe. He quickly leapt over the swinging axe, grabbing onto the large horns of the Minotaur. He grunted as he landed on the ground, pulling on the horns. "Grah! Get over here!" Using the extra strength from his <Athletics> skill, he was able to slam the minotaur's chin into the ground. Once it hit the ground with a grunt, Jomei flipped his sword and brought his sword down, straight into its head. As it disappeared into data, he turned around to see he could not see Ssendom. He heard the sounds of their battle though. {He'll be fine} He made his way over to the boarded entrance to the cavern. He pulled off the boards, which revealed a short corridor with a pedestal at the ending. On the pedestal sat a ruby amulet, carved into a half crescent shape, with a silver chain and lining. He walked up to it and grabbed it. He observed it and smiled. "This is perfect.." He made his was back outside

Ssendom and the beast clashed their weapons together with violent strength, the weapons themselves could be heard cracking but it was unsure of whose weapon was cracking faster. Ssendom continued to clash blades with the Minotaur they were at a perfect stalemate, the Minotaur seemed to get more angry and vicious after feeling his brethren die. This added anger on the Minotaur brought Ssendom ecstasy in battle, he was loving that the creature was no longer fighting to survive but was fighting to kill. Ssendom got more and more enthralled in the fight that he started aiming at the ax specifically, he wanted this thing to live and bring him the joy that came with fighting callously. The stalemate went for long enough the Minotaur was beginning to heavily breath as it was fatigued from the constant fighting it couldn't keep up with Ssendom's brute force.

Jomei made his way out of the cave, looking down at the shining red amulet in his hand with a grin on his face. His eyes moved to the fog off in the distance when he heard the sounds of battle. "Huh.. still not finished yet.." Jomei sighed and shrugged, placing the amulet into his inventory. He could not see where his friend was fighting the minotaur, but he was easily led to their position by the sounds of fighting. He took off running in their direction. As he closed in, he saw sparks of light from where their weapons connected with each other. He lowered his center of gravity as the fog began to produce two hulking shadows fighting each other. {But which ones which...?} Finally, he saw the battle axe of the minotaur. He smirked as he leapt off of the ground. Flying in from the fog, Jomei came into view, feet first, as he connected with the side of the minotaur's head with a powerful drop kick. Jomei landed on his feet as the beast staggered. "Hey! I thought you'd be done by now!" He teased his friend. The minotaur shook its head to recover from the kick. Jomei stood up straight and placed his hand on his belt. "Now finish this thing off so we can get out of here."

Ssendom stabbed his blade into the ground and looked over at Jomei, "I'll let you take this one. It's beginning to bore me." He leaned on his sword with one arm. The Minotaur infuriated at Ssendom no longer giving the beast his attention it swung and slammed it's ax into Ssendom's stomach. As it retracted it's ax from Ssendom he grabbed it and held it in place. "Here, I'll even make it easy for you." The Minotaur fought with all it's might to pull the blade out of Ssendom's grasp, but somehow the man was overpowering the monsters strength by holding it with only a single hand. He didn't even seem like he was even trying all that hard, Ssendom almost seemed completely bored of the monster now.

Jomei looked at Ssendom, moved his gaze to the minotaur, and brought it back to his friend with a smirk. He closed his eyes and shook his head, placing his hands on his belt. He pushed on the handle of Ssendom's sword towards his friend, the blade shifting in the dirt. "No no I insist." He walked past Ssendom and grabbed the handle of the axe. "And ill be the one to hold this down for you." Unlike Ssendom, he had to hold it with two hands, but he still was able to keep the minotaur from taking it with no trouble.

Ssendom lifted his blade out of the ground then swung recklessly grazing just past Jomei's face without hitting him but completely decapitating the Minotaur. "Fine if you so insist. I'll end it's miserable life. It didn't even have the common sense to let go of the weapon and attack with it's hands and horns till it got the ax back, worthless cur." He shrugged and slid his sword back into it's Scabbard, he turned his attention to Jomei after the Minotaur had exploded into data particles, "You get everything?" He asked Jomei as he dropped his menu HUD to see the map, which became visible in the area they were in giving them the path home while in the presence of the Hoya. "Well the map, seems to be giving us the design of the forest and the Minotaur locations of aggro. We just can go home and turn in quest. Twas good hunting Jomei." He bows his head respectfully to him and begins walking back to town.

Jomei watched as Ssendom cut down the last minotaur. He smirked and nodded. He then pulled the Hoya of Minos out and held it by its chain, the pendant swinging gently in the wind. "Yeah, I got what we came for." He placed it back in his inventory and looked at the map with Ssendom. He marked out a good enough path for the two to follow with his finger, looking up from time to time to judge where they would actually be going. "Yeah, lets go turn in that quest. Thanks for your help." The two made their way out of the misty forest and into Delilah Village, where they departed their own ways.
