The forest was enveloped in calming winds that danced through the air. Whipping up of fallen leaves and guiding the various breezes throughout a forest the blonde was beginning to become fond of, Amazon's Folly. The place held a special place in his heart. It was where he had not only lost control, but regained it as well. The cooling current brushed through his bangs as he wandered about coven of wooden poles. Soft padded feet trailed silently behind him. Keeping up surprisingly well for a cub his size. Oikawa looked down at the familiar. His silvery grey coat reflecting the emerald shades of the forest around them. "King, mind doing me a favor?"

"We have severe material shortage King. I need you to help me scout the surrounding area for materials alright?" The cub yelped as he clamored from atop his head and headed off a little ways ahead. Scanning the area visually, Oikawa took note of the lack of materials surrounding his current location. Although he managed to spot one in the middle of an ore cluster. Grabbing his pick-axe, he smashed through the rock and collected the emerald ore that he was able to mine from it. He waited for King to comeback, but he wasn't to  worried if the cub didn't return right away.

Gust of sweet cool wind passed over the blonde as he continued his search for materials. It seemed the more he came here, the more scarce materials became. His attention was so focused on finding materials that he almost jumped out of his nerve gear as King returned with and Emerald Ore. Patting the cub, Oikawa added the material to his inventory and continued to look around. His search in this are was seemingly hopeless as nothing turned up. Opting to move deeper in, he gestured for King to follow him as the traversed deeper into the verdant foliage.

The tower trees provided the perfect shade as the duo moved along the jungle floor. Leaves shifted and rustled as the wind pranced around them. It was actually quite peaceful for material gathering kind of day. no monster encounters as of yet, and he already had two materials. A small clearing was edging into view as he stepped across the vine like threshold. His gaze immediately averting to a cluster of ores perched in the lower branch of a tree. Snagging his pick-axe he reached out towards the ores and smashed them as 2 more aterials were added to his inventory.

After collecting those ores, he spotted another one near the base of the tree. It seemed to be a fragment from the cluster he had just smashed. Nabbing it as well, he and King looked around the area for more. The search being unproductive as nothing turned up. That is, until they hit the edge of the clearing and a pair of red eyes lit up from the foliage. Drawing his blade, Oikawa backed away as a <Sneering Snake Warrior> entered the battlefield. Oikawa then lifted King and placed him on his head. As his shield materialized, he prepared for combat against the variant Mob.

The slithering Mob hissed as it narrowed it's eyes at the blonde. Oikawa simply smirked as he lunged in. A crimson mark cutting through the air as it slammed into the scaled armor. The warrior hissed and bucked as it picked itself up. Wielding a battle axe, Oikawa knew it had to get close to hit him. Jumping back, he was able to keep the distance from the Mob. This one Mob should be easy peasy. Once I dispatch it, moving back to material gathering. Knowing his end goal,Oikawa made a note to rid the area of this monster as quickly as possible.

The warrior slithered about the ground. it intended to close the gap that was created all the while trying to force another attack. Patiently Oikawa waited as the snake came closer. His shield ready, predicted the strike and knocked the axe aside as he dropped low and unleashed a few quick jabs into the Mob's chest. Sending it careening into the trees surrounding. It was obvious the snake was no match for Oikawa but there was no room for mercy in this match. Even the most insignificant opponents can surprise those who underestimate them.

The two danced back and forth as they reassessed the situation. Though no matter how they analyzed it, Oikawa was sure that'd he'd be the victor. However, the snake still had some fight in it as it reared up and spit an acid on the blonde. Rather than debuff him like he expected, he realized that it was a damaging acid. Twas proven as his HP dipped from the attack. Interesting. A projectile attack that damages. Noted. Having taken the mental note, the blonde proceeded to surge forward. His blade splitting the snake's armor as he pushed it away with his shield. Causing it to shriek as it tried to backed away further. The attempt was futile though, as the blonde's paralysis kicked in and kept the monster locked in place.

The scaly green snake warrior stood frozen not from fear but from paralysis. Although the blonde felt he could make the case for either, His crimson blade glowed as it yearned to tear into the mob once more. Oikawa was happy to oblige. He walked over to the monster and brought his blade high. With one swift motion, the blade cut through the air and missed. The blonde was stupefied as the paralysis seemed to wear off prematurely. And although it didn't attack, the Mob managed to hiss and sneak away from his blade. "Sigh, looks  like I can't take you lightly for a second huh? Alright, may your death be swift."

And swift it would be as the blonde lunged forward. The monster reacted by swinging wildly at the blonde. Attempting to cleave him in half as he neared the snake's personal space. The attacks were null though, as the blonde deflected them with his shield and closed the gap. Knocking it off balance with a solid shield bash, Oikawa forced his rapier through it's plated armor once more as he thrust his blade into the monster. A hissing shriek filled the air as Oikawa retracted his blade. Keep in the tempo high and the distance short, Oikawa looked for his opening that would allow him to seal the deal and kill the mob.

The mob only had two choices at this point. To let the blonde kill it or to let the blonde kill it. Guess that means there is only one option and Oikawa was bent on carrying it out. His blade mere inches from the monster in front of him, Oikawa focused his <Concentration> as he flicked his wrist and severed the head of the mob from it's body. It was over in seconds. Taking a few more for the body to disperse into pixels to match the dispersal of the heads pixels. Reaching down, he collected his loot. Sighing, he looked towards the exit of the clearing and decided to head out. He needed to finish collecting materials.

The blonde stepped from the clearing and placed his familiar back on the jungle floor. "King, same as before. Split up and search. But before you go, <Heal>." The cub's sapphire blue eyes began to glow as Oikawa felt a warm wave pass over him as his HP restored to full. "Thank you King. Now go. We have some materials to gather." The two then split up. Oikawa heading for a grove of Emeraldian trees. They are known for having Emerald ores and ingots grow from the base and branches. As he scanned them over, he looked for any that were ready to be mined. His luck was well met as he netted two more materials. Satisfied, he continued to move a little further down.

The grey leopard cub moved through the expansive jungle following his nose. He remembered the smell <Hardened Ores> the best and as such decided to search for those considering they were ores you could dig up. His sense of smell brought him to a patch of dirt near a small stream. Pawing at the ground, King began to dig through the soil. His efforts were rewarded as the cub snatched up two ores in is his mouth. Sprinting back to his owner, King dropped the two materials at the blonde's feet before darting back off into the forest in search of more.

The blonde felt something drop near his feet. Inspecting the items he realized they were materials. looking back down the path he saw the cub dash around another corner. Thanks King, glad to see your search is giving us good results as well. As he added the materials to his inventory, he focused on the next set of trees. He search high and low for some materials to add to his stock. the better he did here, the less often he'd have to do this in the future. His search was quite profitable as he gathered another 3 ores. Adding them to his inventory, he moved to another tree and started the process over again.

Leaves whipped up in the background as King dashed through the verdant undergrowth. He jumped through a bush or two as he picked up the scent of another set of ores. Tearing through foliage, King found himself in another small clearing, this one riddled with a few patches. Putting his nose to the grindstone, King began to dig up the soil in search of materials for his owner. His first digging only uncovered 1 material. Starting a pile, the cub moved onto to the next patch.

Scouring the next tree, he brushed his hand through the leaves and branches in an attempt to locate some materials. Nothing immediately showed up but, he was willing to scour the whole forest if he had to. As his hand glided from the trunk to the base, it passed over a single protruding ore that glowed at the touch. Plucking the measly ore, the blonde thought aloud. "A single ore? Seriously? This tree is more useless than skilling into One-Handed Straight Sword when you use Two-Handed Assault Spear. Ugh.  I need to find a better tree to loot."

The next patch of dirt seemed softer than the previous as the leopard pressed his paw to the soil. He flexed his claws and pressed into the dirt as he began to claw through it and search for ores. His paw got snagged on a few of them as he pulled them out. Dragging them out, he placed them in his pile and started on the next dirt patch. For a cub with a skill in healing, the leopard was quite adept in the art of material gathering.

The blonde skimmed over the last tree in the grove. His gathering skills weren't as top notch as he would've liked but he didn't want to invest his hard earned points into the <Search and Detect> skill just yet. He figured they would be better spent in other skills that would aid him in combat. Having collected a nice total from all the trees, the blonde headed for the direction King ran off too. I'm sure has something for me since he didn't return right away as usual. Unless? Nah King is smarter than that. His search wouldn't take long though as he spotted the cub in a small clearing surrounded with dirt patches. There seemed to be  a small pile collecting behind him and Oikawa was certain that was why he hadn't returned. Kneeling down by the cub, he helped him claw through the last patch before heading off back towards town.

The cub perked up as the scent of his owner wafted beneath his nose. He watched as Oikawa kneeled down to help the cub claw out the materials. Combined they uncovered two materials. While not very much their, overall turnout was quite good. Adding the ores to his inventory, he patted the cub and placed him on his head. The two then stepped back on to the main path of the jungle and headed back. While they could search for  materials they could focus more on the scenery before getting back into town. Careful to avoid drawing any attention to themselves, the pair quietly maneuvered through the forest.

The opening could be seen just up ahead. Oikawa quickened his pace as he kept a look out for any materials. Spotting an ore cluster hanging from a tree, he drew his pick-axe and proceeded to hack at it. Grabbing 3 materials, he continued out of the jungle and back into town. The cobbled road clattered with sounds of players and NPCs moving about the bustling town. Reaching the plaza, the blonde stepped into the teleportation gate and shouted to be moved to floor one. As they were enveloped in a blue light, they were whisked away to the first floor. Upon return, he immediately headed tot he shop to record his materials and maybe get to crafting.
