~History ~

 

 

After Lance's father passed away, he sunk into a deep depression. It caused started to flunk school, withdraw from his friends and family,  even ignored his dog - which at the moment was scratching at his door. He could hear his mother in the next room, pleading with the school over the phone to not suspend him. He had gotten into another fight with a kid for reasons he can't even remember why. "The guy pissed him off", he repeatedly told himself.

 

Lance knew he was starting to go down a dark path, one he was unfamiliar with, desperate to avoid; but felt unable to escape from. Thats when he had heard about SAO. It was suppose to be one of the most advaned VMMOs to date. He never tried any before but was really interested in the concept. If he could just take a break from life....even if just for a moment, it might help him pull himself together, and get things back on track.

 

 

~Personality ~

 

While its true that Lance is battling a deep and dark depression, he tries his best to remain true to what he his virtues that he believes in. His flaws surface every now and then, but for the most part he is able to remain in control. Lance would soon as strike down a foe as he would lend aid to a person in need, even at risk of his own life. He rejects the status quo, and follows his own set of moral codes.

 

In times of adversity he always tries to do whats right, shows compassion when its needed. However, when in combat his personality shifts, his mind goes blank from the distractions its normally plagued with, his eyes vacantly staring at one singular goal: Surive.

 

 

 

Virtues:

 

Self Sacrifice - Lance is willing to give up his own benefit in order to do what he feel is right. He cares little for what socities thinks of his actions but rather lives by his own moral code.

 

Tolerant - Lance  shows willingness to accept different ideas and opinions. He understands that not everyone will always agree with him or believe the way he does.

 

Cooperative - Even though Lance generally prefers to work alone so no one gets in his way, when the time comes to aid an ally, he seamlessly adjusts to different combat styles to fit into whatever is required. This makes it easy for him to be apart of a team when the need arises.

 

 

Flaws:

 

Rebellious-  At times, and generally the wrong ones; Lance finds himself mocking things he detests. While tolerant of others ideas, he often intentionally contests whatever someone expects of him.

 

 

Skeptical-  Lance is often questioning and doubtful of not only his environment but others around him. This makes it hard for him to stay with the same group or trust someone who might very well lead him to his possible doom.

 

Depression - Lance is currently battling a deep depression. This sometimes causes him to loose focus, and can get in the way of his progress, or joining other groups.

 

Soft-hearted-  Lance often wants to do the right thing. His compassion can cause him to be taken advantage of, or put himself at risk as he is willing to put himself in harms way to assist someone in dire need.
