I eased into the familiar Blacksmith's store, having just received some bad and good news from Hirru; he locked two of the items Mack made for me, but on the other hand managed to appraise Regeneration on one pair of my gauntlets. "Mack, you in?" I called out, hoping the Blacksmith was around. "Kind of need more armour made... this one will not be appraised though." I lowered my voice so I was not bellowing so loudly.

"As far as I know, even with the changes to the system from updates, it is not possible to get a plus three crafting item. It is possible to boost that ability beyond a mere plus one, which is all I can do, but the additional boosts only work for things like healing attempts and such boosts are beyond the ability of a blacksmith to craft. If you want a plus one instrument for your own crafting that I can do, but no more," Mack rumbled in response to @Dominion, before turning to the other players to leave Dominion with a chance to mull things over.

"Shouldn't be a problem. How much accuracy do you want on the sword," Mack asked @Ignavus_veneficus, before turning to the next person in line even as the smallest of the players there tried to pick up Chewie only to collapse under the weight of the bear cub which proceeded to sit on her for a moment, giving @Row a baleful look with his chocolate eyes. She was small and Chewie was small, at least by bear standards. They were meant to be friends, that much was obvious. Still, she was apparently banishing him. Giving Row a reproachful look Chewie scooted across the tent to @Shizua and repeated the up gesture. Girls were always more likely to give him extra food, and attention, the bear had learned that long ago, even if it didn't always pay off.

"Help yourselves to as much as you want from that table by the door. It's full of vanity armor pieces, if you take them to a merchant for appraisal you may yet find they have more powers than what meets the eye," the blacksmith rumbled, accepting the tier two material from @Aereth before hefting the hammer onto his shoulder and beginning to craft items.

Mack plodded through the ever deepening drifts of snow, one grey eye occasionally flicking to Chewie as the bear blasted through snow drifts. One of the bear's chief delights in digital life, after food and attention, was terrorizing snow drifts like an over sized and quite fluffy jack in the box. It appeared as if the internal clock for the world of Aincrad was synched up with some kind of actual real-world clock as Mack was reasonably sure it was January in the real world and the snow had been falling in Aincrad more heavily than normal. Reaching the entrance to his shop, the blacksmith pushed his way inside and brushed the snow from his shoulders and chest before firing up his forge and getting started with the morning's work.

Reaching the interior of his still darkened tent shop in the wee hours of the morning Mack set about firing up his forge, tossing a loaf of bread into the straw strewn corner that Chewie typically called home while they were in the shop. The bread wouldn't last long, but it would keep the fuzzy bottomless pit out from under foot while there was work to be going on with. Fanning the billows of the forge a few times until the glow of the lighted coals and the heat they put off suffused the shop, Mack selected his crafting hammer and set to work hammering some materials into suitable items for the day's work.

Row walks into the blizzard floor up to the in order to make a request from the same blacksmith that made her ax. It was not hard finding him this time since she had already been here before and she spent so much time looking for it last time that she would never forget. She even remembered the bear that had a never ending appetite. To keep the bear from attacking her, she brought a bunch of cookies. Her game plan was to give the bear a cookie to keep it distracted long enough for her to get her gear. She also brought some money hoping the prices was not going to be too much. While it was nice to get free things, what was the point of money if you never used it. 

"Hello, is anyone here. I am Row... and I was wondering if I could make a request." She walked inside before continuing. "I would like to buy some heavy armor with 3 slots of Regen, if that was not too much trouble."

"I don't think that should prove to be too difficult," Mack rumbled in response to @Row. At the sound of the girl's voice a dark nose appeared around the rounded bend of the forge. The nose was followed by a brown snout, two large chocolate eyes, rounded ears, an entire head, a neck, and then a wriggling mass of fur and paws as Chewie popped his head out. The bear bellowed out a loud greeting and came rumbling in the direction of Row. As he sped under one of the display tables in the shop one of his rear paws snagged on a table leg. The grizzly cub proceeded to roll head over heels in Row's direction, stopping with his back against her legs and his head and fore paws planted on the ground.

With a dull thump Chewie toppled over to the left and landed heavily on his side. At least he was no longer standing on his head though. Scrambling back, properly, to his feet, the bear cub hopped up on his rear legs and began swatting at Row with his clawed paws. Making entirely more noise than was necessary, and looking up at the girl with enormous begging eyes, the bear opened his mouth and pointed a clawed toe down his throat. It was his normal behavior around, well, everyone and it usually worked quite effectively at getting the bear what he wanted, which was namely being fed until he popped. Meanwhile, Mack retreated to the forge at the back of the tent and set to work seeing what he could do for filling some of the various orders he had.

The steady ringing noise of the hammer continued as Mack worked on smithing and filling the various item requests that he had. If there was one thing that was rather unfortunate about being a blacksmith it was that no one ever seemed to be interested in any items that were less than maxed out. Which, necessarily tended to mean that business was sometimes slow and that there was, nearly always, an enormous amount of unclaimed and unwanted items cluttering up his, and every other blacksmith's, shop. Beyond that, there was no way to break down those unwanted items into their base materials to try a second, third, or even fourth time to craft them into something someone might want.

Another day, another set of crafts. Grunting, Mack slipped into the tent that housed his shop on the fourth floor and, just for a few moments, he considered the possibility that it might be time to pick up shop and move to a different location. Just as quickly, however, the ginger giant that was the Vice Commander of the Knights of the Blood Oath dismissed the notion as ludicrous. There were a few other places that might not be too bad to house the Wandering Forge, but there were no other winter wonderland floors. At least none that had yet been discovered. Moving to the forge he pumped the billows a few times and fired up the flames before tossing several crafting materials into the glistening ruby-like fires of the forge and setting to work with the rhythmic pounding of a smithing hammer on an anvil.

"Ekk!" Row jumped when the bottomless stomach of a bear appeared behind her. She smiled as the routine started. There was only one thing on this bears mind and that was food. If one did not share with the bear, then they would have to "bear" its annoying little rage fits. Row was not afraid though. In fact, she was prepared for this very moment. Her eyes met with the bear and gave it a fiery glare. A smile creep on her face as she slowly moved her hand to her pocket. Just like when fighting a boss, every second counted. No movement could go to waste. This was a matter of life and annoyance. After the brief pause, Row pulled something out of her pocket lightning face and held it in front of the bear. "TAKE THIS BEAR!" In her hand was a cookie. Her plan was set. Knowing the fierceness of the bear, she would try to place the cookie down in order to avoid getting bit and run away to a different area of the shop. The cookie would distract the bear and hopefully it would go away.

Vargas was wanting to increase his appraisal skill and to do that he was going to need more items. Especially items that were of low quality. Thus, he had been looking around at the various shops for what he needed. Sadly, he couldn't appraise potions, food, or accessories. So he stayed away from those shops as they would do him no good. 

After some time he was able to find a couple of shops that sold some low tier items. He made note of where they were so that he could try coming back to them later. Eventually he found The Wanderer's Forge. Looking inside he saw many low cost good quality items. These are perfect! I can use them for multiple attempts. Well, unless they get locked quickly.

Entering the tent Vargas was quick to inquire about the equipment. "If I can I'd love to purchase all of your good quality items. However, if you have a limitation to that then I'd be ok with buying all your chain mails and round shields."

OOC: @Vargas and @Row, sorry for the delay in catching this. I don't check my shop often. Always best to PM after posting. Anyway, I will have a proper reply for both of you edited into this by tonight, hopefully.

'COOKIE!' Chewie jumped in the air and snapped his jaws at the cookie. The cub knew precisely what it was and he knew that he wanted it. His chocolate brown eyes darted from the cookie to the bag in @Row's hand. That was a cookie bag. A bag full of extravagent gifts of confectionary deliciousness. Everyone knew that. Especially the grizzly's nose. Sitting back on his haunches, Chewie's eyes followed the cookie greedily as the bear licked his dark lips in anticipation of the offering. This pink haired girl always had sweets. Sweets weren't as good as beef, pork, or chicken, or especially fishies which were the very best of all, but sweets were much better than just plain simple loaves of bread.

Mack poked his ginger head around the corner of the tent from the area where the forge was located as the rhytmic pounding of the smithing hammer momentarily ceased. Chewie, for his part, was much more enthusiastic in his greeting of @Vargas. With a rumbling growl of greeting the bear cub scampered to his feet and went tearing across the cramped space of the tent's interior. When he was close enough to Vargas, the brown monster threw himself into the air, and thudded against the back of the blonde man's legs before dropping to the ground and flopping onto his back with his mouth open and a clawed toe pointed to the now gaping maw. "I'll sell you all my vanity, uncommon, and even rare items if you want them," the Blacksmith rumbled, gesturing to the overloaded tables. "I have too much stock as it is. Knock yourself out."

Mack stomped into his shop and knocked the snow from his boots near the entrance. Swiping a finger in front of his face he produced a simple loaf of bread from his inventory and chucked it in the direction of Chewie's straw mat in one corner of the shop. The bear roared a challenge at the food treat and went tearing off after his breakfast. Hitting the mat like a gluten crazed demon the bear cub pounced on the bread and began to tear enormous hunks from it, scarfing them down whole with many happy chomping noises and growls. With the grizzly's interests seen to, so the little terror would be out of the way while the work was being done, Mack moved towards the forge and took up the smithing hammer to begin his daily work.

Vale quickly entered the first building she could. Traversing through the fourth floor in only her spandex that she regularly wore was rather chilling, and caused her skin and other things on her body to become readily noticable... like goosebumps. Nevertheless, Vale had found somewhere that was currently warm. She looked up to see a very large and gruff man sitting at an anvil having just finished putting together the second most adorable thing she had seen in this world, "Oh my god. It must be my lucky day or something... Or maybe it is unlucky." She blurted out loud. Being too deep in with her words she decided the best thing to do was to just finish what she was saying, "I found this cute Cat Fur armor, and now I'm looking a gauntlets that are made to look like Cat claws, and I'm love Martial Arts." Vale bowed respectfully to the Large Gruff man, "Please sir, what can I do to earn the right to use those beautiful claws you just made!" She pleaded with the man hoping to get a good answer.

Aoda stepped into the blacksmith, escaping the freezing snow of the fourth floor. The forge created enough heat to make the swordsman feel warm again. In fact, he was surprised how much warmer it was inside the shop than outside. He looked around, but couldn't see the owner of the shop around. The boy stepped up to the front desk and waited for a moment, taking a look at the inventory the owner had created.

Under a list of items was a curved sword that was listed as "Free". The player's eyes searched the area, looking for somewhere the owner may have been, but he couldn't find him. Hesitantly, Aoda placed the sword in his inventory, although he would have preferred to confirm the price before taking it. With that, he exited the smith, returning to the cold, winter wonderland known as the fourth floor.

Row gasped after Mack brought out her item. It was magnificent. She dropped the cookies, now that she did not need to stall with the bear, and ran to the counter and grabbed her weapon. What was the most shocking thing was that Mack was given it to her for free. She tried to offer some sort of price but the man insisted on giving it to her for free. She sigh and took the weapon. She loved free stuff but she did not like mooching. Still, free is free and it could only mean profit. Also, this could be thought of as payment for that bear taking her cake. Yep, today that is what it would be so it was never free. Also that bear did take her cookies so in the end, he would owe her. Yep, but that was for another time. Row bowed one more time before running off with her free new gear.

Vargas was not expecting to be jumped. Especially by a fluffy bear cub. About to turn around at the sound of the growling sound Vargas felt his legs give out under him as he fell to the floor. Next thing he knew, there was a large weight on his back. Turning his head he saw the bear on top of him with its mouth open and a claw pointing at its mouth. "No, no, that's fine. I'm just looking to get some items to rank up my appraising," Vargas said as he got himself up off the ground. He looked through his inventory for something to feed the bear but all he had on him was bread. "Eh, sorry but I don't really have anything good except some bread. Not sure if you want it," Vargas proffered the bread to the bear. Grabbing the vanity items he handed the Col total to Mack. "I. Isn't take you up on the offer for the others some other time perhaps," Vargas said as he left.

 The door opened slowly as a petite but voluptuous beauty walked into the store. She was timid but yet graceful as she maneuvered around in her white leotard, that left nothing to the imagination. She looked around the shop a little, shy like and almost clung to the walls like she wanted to be unnoticed. She was told this shop helped out beginner players like her self and knew she should try to get some kind of protection, but she did not think heavy armor or a giant kite shield would work for her. She played with a bit of her long rose tinted hair as she walked around looking at the various things. She walked up towards the front and noticed a huge hulk of a man with a bear cub by his side. She shook off her nerves and stepped towards him. "Um.. excuse me.. hi... would you.. happen to have... something I can use for defense... maybe something small?" She said timidly as she held her hands in front of her and placed her head down a little.

Floor four was freezing. Why in the world did she go this so called "Mystical Wonderland" of a floor. She was just coming up to see what it was all about, curiosity killed the cat and in this sense she was freezing her catnips off. With her arms huddled over her body and freezing, she wanted and needed warmth. Heat, fire, combustion. It didn't really matter as long as she was warm enough. As her teeth were chattering and her hunched over posture, the woman saw the flapping of a tent and immediately thought of the circus. However, this was much more small scale compared to the tents she had been in real life. However there was the faint smell of iron and metalwork not too far from it and she was kinda curious as to what was inside.

As she stepped in there was an immediate change of temperature. Inside there was comfort and warmth compared to the freezing snow laden land outside. Her cat eyes roamed around, so it was some kind of shop. Her ears twitched when she heard the smithing in the background, then none four feet away was a bear? A cub? A familiar with big chocolate brown eyes staring straight at her. Her eyes had gone wide and the bear began to charge, "Oh nonononononono!!!!" Kitties and bears don't get along. Her tail whipped and she made a loud hissing kinda sound to alert the bear and she dove right into it head first getting her body mixed around with the playful familiar, "Ack! It's trying to eat me!" She said out loud. Her hands moving around the bear's underside to attempt to move it off of her. Finally getting her feet free, and making a ton of noise while doing so.

Getting to her feet and sweeping a hand over her scantily clad basic armor, the woman addressed the bear, "You. Stay. No pouncing!...Never thought I would say that to something or someone." She said scratching her head. Her eyes caught the glint of something shiny in the background, a Spear. Her body moved to it like a magnet as she made grabby hands of it. Peeling the Solar Strike from its stand, the woman hefted the two handed assault spear and twirled it a few times. She gave the bear a look and narrowed her eyes, "I should totally get some payback for messing with me..." No one seemed to be around except for the heavy sounds of the anvil in the back. Mischief eyes wandered over to the tent entrance, "Maybe if I can sneak on out...the owner won't notice anything is missing..."
