Mack 0 Posted August 12, 2015 Author #21 Share Posted August 12, 2015 ID: 27287 & 27288LD: 2 & 19With the deer dispatched and the materials and loot from the creature added to his inventory Mack shouldered his axe and returned his attention to the trees and readied Guillotine to continue going after lumber from the trees. Swinging the axe through the air with a soft swishing noise, he buried the blade in the wooden flesh of the tree. Nothing happened the first time. Grunting, he pulled the weapon free of plant and then swung it through the air and into the tree again with a thud. There was a spray of wood chips and some lumber splintered off from the tree for Mack to gather up. The blonde man tromped over to the crafting material, picked it up, and added it to his inventory. It was time to abandon the tree farming altogether and to move on to proper hunting. Turning his back on the forest, Mack headed back into the grasslands proper to run down some more boars and other animals. They were the sure thing for crafting materials. It wasn't long before the blonde man heard the sounds of a boar snuffling and rooting around in the ground for something to eat. Creeping through the grass, as much as a man of his size could be considered to creep, Mack finally spotted the boar and, as it turned its back in the search for more grub, the warrior exploded from cover and buried Guillotine deep in the boar's back. [6 Weapon, 2 bleed])The boar wheeled around much faster than Mack would have thought possible in a creature the size of a boar. It then proceeded to bury its nasty little piggy teeth in his ankle. Still, if it was busy gnawing on his ankle it was standing still and that made it a very easy target for the big axe-man's blade. Guillotine knifed through the air and, for a second time, buried itself deep in the boar's back. The creature had just enough time to squeal in pain before it exploded into nothingness. Where the boar had been moments before there appeared a bolt of leather, otherwise known as crafting materials, and a small charm in the shape of a boar's head that would be suitable for using wearing to boost one's stats. Mack 0 Posted August 13, 2015 Author #24 Share Posted August 13, 2015 (edited) ID: 27365BD: 7 (+1 Acc Lucky Charm)MD: 9Mack: 19/27 (-4 Dam.)Boar: 8/14 (-6 Dam.)Just as Mack was finishing adding the items that had dropped as loot from the boar to his inventory there was a soft shimmer not five feet to his left. Within a second or two the shimmer had resolved itself into the shape of another boar. "You've got to be kidding," the warrior groaned, standing up and readying himself. What kind of game would spawn a second boar almost on top of the one that had just been killed within less than thirty seconds of said kill. Not that Mack was overly worried, it was just odd.Without warning, the boar charged and ran straight up and over the smith, first goring him with the tusks and then trampling him with its feet. Blindly, the axe-man flailed out with Guillotine and the weapon found purchase in the side of the boar. While the animal's snarling squeal made it clear that the hit was solid, it also resulted in Mack being dragged a few feet before the axe blade dislodged itself and he had a chance to get back up to his feet. Mack 0 Posted August 13, 2015 Author #25 Share Posted August 13, 2015 ID: 27367BD: 7 (6 + 1)MD: 8Mack: 16/27 (-3 Dam)Boar: 2/14 (-6 Dam)As the porcine baron came around for another buzzing pass Mack set his feet. When the boar slammed into him this time he was able to redirect the force of the charge enough to shove the animal to one side so that he wasn't knocked off his feet for a second time. Sensing its target was still upright the boar tried to whirl and sink its teeth into one of Mack's legs but the blonde man slammed the iron capped butt of Guillotine into the top of the boar's head and plowed the creature's skull into the ground before taking several steps to one side to clear out of the creature's path and set himself for the third round of the assault. Unprepared for the move, Mack was caught in the knee by the strike and knocked to the ground. Again. To add insult to injury, the boar then proceeded to charge back over the blonde man's head, driving him face first into the ground to, quite literally, eat dirt. Snarling, Mack pushed himself back to his feet, limping now because of the strike to his knee and readied himself for another attack at the boar. It was time to bring the little piggy to the market. The sun gleamed off the highly polished blade of the perfect battle axe and, as the piggy closed the range, Mack brought the weapon slamming down on the boar. Guillotine's blade bit sharply, directly into the pig's skull and the force of the blow drove the creature's head straight into the ground, muffling its death cry. As the animal dissolved it resolved itself into crafting materials in the form of leather and an interesting looking food item. Raw pork chops. What in all of Aincrad was the smith supposed to do with those? Adding both of the items to his inventory, Mack shouldered his axe and headed back towards the City of Beginnings.REWARDS:1 SP400 ColDeer Antler Pendant (Uncommon - +1 Acc.
