On the outskirts of Delilah Village on the prairie floor of three is a flat stone paved path that cut through fields of dandelions that leads to an ordinary looking cottage. Smoke leaks out of its chimney and as you approach, a sign hangs on the door that depicts a steaming mortar and pestle with the title of Piera's Potent Potions on it. Once entered, the smell of numerous flowers and herbs would wash over you as sunlight leaked through the windows.

"Hello." A polite female voice would greet you. The voice came from a brunette bespectacled woman that was crushing materials with a mortar and pestle on the counter in the corner. "Welcome to my shop. What can I help you with?"

Piera had settled into her newly found shop, glad that it had a small living space above for her and Lee to crash in so they could stop wasting their money on inn rooms and save it up to get better gear. "I really need to see about getting some armor." She murmured to herself as she looked through her menu before getting out some of the materials she had collected. No point in having a shop if she had nothing to sell, right? That meant that she needed to get cracking and try to actually make some potions. Depositing the material into her mortar, the brunette picked up the pestle and began grinding before pouring the remains into a small heated cauldron. Stirring the contents, Piera broke out into a grin as a window popped up notifying her that she had created a Perfect Potion. "Yes! Whoa my first potion in my shop is perfect, awesome!" This had to be a good sign.

Piera had immediately rushed to Lee to show off her newly created perfect potions and had rambled for a bit about renaming her shop Piera's Perfect Potent Potions, but was quickly dissuaded by the daunting prospect of having to ensure that all potions she sold were indeed perfect quality. With chagrin, the brunette went back to her 'station' and opened her menu with a flick of a finger before selecting a material to use for a second potion. "Hope I get lucky again." She murmured as she ground up the ingredient before checking to make sure the cauldron was hot enough before shaking in the stuff. Stirring with a critical eye, the brunette kept her left hand's fingers crossed while she waited for it to brew before the window finally popped up to notify her that she had created an Uncommon potion. Brightening, Piera looked it over as she said to herself, "Not too shabby."

A taller warrior type enters the shop the shop and looks around. He knew if he looked around for a while he would find a potion shop on the third floor. He mutters to himself,"Pretty spiffy" as he finishing scanning the area.. The black haired warrior then walks over to the counter. "Hello, I'm going on an outing soon and would like to purchase a health potion that is good quality. If you don't do commissions I understand if you can not fill this order." says the black haired warrior. He then waits for the response of the shop keeper.

Piera had finally finished straightening up the store as much as she possibly could for the day and even tidied up the living quarters even though it was upstairs and out of sight. Now she needed to practice her potioneering for the day. Looking through the various materials, she picked a few of the flowers and set them into the mortar and pestle, crushing them into bits before pausing as she heard something. She snickered upon realization that it was just Lee's snores and shook the flower bits into her cauldron. Stirring while humming quietly to herself, the alchemist waited for the window to pop up. Her mouth twisted in a displeased grimace as it informed her that she had failed in her attempt to craft a potion and had lost her material. "Damn..." But she didn't let it discourage her too much, taking out an additional flower to try again. This time she didn't fail...completely. The potion was made but its quality was bad, thankfully she was able to salvage the material from it so she could try again another time.

Piera was cleaning up her work station from her failed attempts when she heard the door creak open and looked up with a hopeful smile as a dark haired man about her age stepped in. Smiling at the armor clad player, the brunette woman bowed her head as she greeted, "Hello, welcome to Piera's Potent Potions." Wiping her hands of flower remnants on her apron, she listened to his explanation and line of question with an attentive expression before considering. "I hadn't thought about commissions yet to be honest, I'm still new at alchemy I'm afraid." She gave him a apologetic smile before continuing, "I do however have a perfect quality HP recovery potion." Turning and reaching up on the high shelf behind her, she plucked said potion from its place of honor before turning back around and presenting it for him to look at its stats. "It's more expensive (seven hundred col), but it's worth it if you can afford it. I also accept payment in materials if you happen to have them. This potion would be worth four materials. But if it's a bit out of your price range, you could wait for a bit and I can see if I can craft you a good quality potion." The brunette's voice was hopeful as she laid out the options to her first customer. Her outward appearance was composed, but inside her stomach was fluttering with nervousness.

"Okay, not a problem. I unfortunately don't have the mats or the col right now to buy any thing to expensive. So, I won't be able to buy the potion." the black haired warrior said rather nicely. "I'll come back sometime this week and buy it most likely but, don't hold the item for me." says the black haired warrior. Before the warrior leaves he stops for a moment," Oh, by the way I'm Beoreson." and with that the black haired warrior leaves the shop, and continues on his journey to get out of this game.

Piera's expression fell slightly, only detectable in the angle of her brow, as she smiled understandingly. "Of course, I understand. I'm sorry for not having better stock; I only just opened a few days ago." The brunette actually felt horrible for not being able to help her very first customer and was inwardly beating herself up. Why didn't she wait a few more days before opening so that she could take the time to make some rudimentary potions first? Ugh, she hadn't even thought of it, she had been so proud of her first perfect potion that was too overpriced for any normal player to consider buying.

Looking back up at the man as he told her that he'd likely be coming back later in the week but not to hold the potion for her, she brightened. "Don't worry, I'll be sure to make more potions!" The alchemist assured him as he turned and walked towards the door. As the warrior introduced himself as he left, Piera called out, "Ah, I'm Piera. And I look forward to seeing you back here Beoreson!" As soon as the words left her mouth, she realized that introducing herself was a rather silly move on her part as her name was literally in the name. It'd be a bit weird of a 'Piera' wasn't the shop's owner.

As soon as the man left, she bowed her spine sharply, crashing her forehead into the counter, only barely softened by the cloth covering it. "Idgit idgit idgit." She chided herself. Rubbing her fingers over her eyes underneath her glasses, Piera sighed and brushed her bangs out of her eyes before looking back at her failed attempts. "I've got to get better." She told herself, taking the cauldron and scraping the remnants of her failure into a spare bucket. "I'll get Lee to take that out for me later." She muttered before setting the cauldron back on the flames and opening her menu for another try. This time using a beetle's leg.

"Eugh." She grimaced, getting grossed out just looking at it. Looking away slightly with a frown, the brunette picked up the pestle and began crushing the insect appendage, shuddering at the icky noises the action made. The alchemist hurriedly shook the ground up material into the cauldron and quickly stirred, her face still pulled into a grimace, now because of the smell. Still, she didn't let it dissuade her from her stirring, making sure that the heat wasn't too great or too little. Her persistance was rewarded as she created a perfectly normal Good quality health potion. She smiled at the success and hoped that her customer would return soon for it and was tempted to reserve it for him, but remembered his words and so set it up on the shelf before opening her menu again.

"Maybe I should stick with the bug stuff..." Depositing another beetle leg into the mortar and pestle, Piera repeated the process and received the exact same results! "Now that's what I'm talking about. Gah that can't taste good though." Shrugging, the brunette poured the somewhat foul smelling concoction into a glass vial and corked it before setting it next to its' twin on the shelf.

Another day, another challenge. Stretching her arms above her head, Piera made her way down the stairs of her shop. She'd slept in for a bit too long due to staying up reading. The books of Aincrad were surprisingly riveting. She couldn't help but appreciate the attention to detail the psychopath that stuck them in here had. Changing the sign on her shop from 'closed' to 'open', the brunette peeked outside of her shop and took a breath of fresh air that invigorated her. Stepping behind her counter, the young woman opened her menu to browse through her dwindling amount of materials. She'd need to get more soon. But for now, practice. Choosing a clump of promising looking weeds, Piera grimaced slightly at how dirty they looked and wondered if she should wash them off. But how? Shrugging, she set to grinding the earthy plants with mortar and pestle before pausing a moment to light flames under her cauldron. "I should probably clean that..." She muttered, but figured that she had already started so she'd do it after she was done.

Sticking her tongue out at the yucky mess in her mortar, she scraped the paste into the cauldron and stirred, adding water as needed. She was seriously regretting not cleaning both the weeds and the cauldron though as the concoction began to smoke and she quickly turned off the flames and tried fanning the air with her hands, hoping it wouldn't attract Lee's attention to her failure. Groaning as she looked at the mess of her cauldron, she poked through it and realized that she could still salvage some of the material, phishing the bits of good weeds out of the bad potion before scraping the soup into the failure bucket. "Dangit, I thought I asked Lee to take that out." The failure bucket was starting to get a bit full...and rank.

Hauling her cauldron and mortar & pestle outside, Piera set to scrubbing them down and also washed weeds off for good measure. With clean supplies to work with, she started all over and carefully observed the boiling syrup before determining that it was as done as it could ever be and bottled it. She smiled in satisfaction at the uncommon potion she had crafted and set it on the shelf before beginning to clean up the shop so the smell wouldn't linger.

The tall, raven haired warrior approached the shop that he had left from a few days ago. He opens the front door of small and a little chaotic place. He wonders around the small shop reading each of the potions to make sure he bought the right one. Eventually he picked a small red vial. The young warrior then, walks over to the counter of the little shop. "Hey Piera, I'm here to buy a potion." He puts a good quality recovery potion on the counter. "I also came by to see if you needed any help with anything." says the young warrior as he puts the bag of col on the counter.

Piera was idly sitting at the shop's counter, elbow resting on the fabric covered wood with cheek in palm as she scrolled through her menu. She had the alchemy tutorial pulled up and was reading through the possible potions and crystals one could make and at what level a player could make them at. Sighing longingly, she lamented that she had already used up her two crafts for the day early that morning. Though it was definitely worth it as she gained enough experience to become an Apprentice Alchemist, earning her the ability to make basic crystals now. The waiting game was the worst game ever.

The monotony of the day was broken however as she saw movement and thought it was someone else until she flicked away her menu and looked properly, breaking out in a smile upon seeing who it was. "Welcome back Beoreson." She greeted happily, glad to see that he had returned as promised. Chuckling lightly as she opened up the shop's transaction menu, she accepted the col as payment and traded him the potion. "It was crafted with love~." She teased.

At his additional reason for being here, her eyes blinked in surprise as she pushed up her glasses, considering for a moment before asking half jokingly, half hopefully, "Know a good Tailor?" Shoulders bouncing in a shrug, Piera explained, "I'm just saving up to be able to buy a set of perfect light armor with the right enhancements, but even then I don't know a good Tailor to buy from. At least not one who's available." She amended, thinking of her guild mate. "I'm always looking for mats though. Only have a few left and I just leveled up my alchemy so I can make crystals now." There was slight pride in her casual tone.

The young warrior laughs,"Good, that means I can hug the enemy monster, as well as gain health." The young warrior shook his head," I don't know any tailors of any sort. Although Mack is good with heavy amour for what it's worth." He then, pockets the vial "Wow, that's pretty cool." Exclaims the young warrior."I'll stop by with some mats later this week. When I get the chance." states the young warrior. He then, says goodbye to Piera and leaves the store. He was going to go farm some more so, he had the extra mats to give to Piera

Piera laughed along with the swordman, replying with caution, "Just be careful about how hard they hug you back."  She shrugged as he stated that he didn't know any Tailors at all and nodded at his suggestion of Mack if she wanted heavy armor. "I think I'll keep that in mind." She could refer Lee to him when he outgrew/out-leveled his current armor. The brunette grinned at his praise before nodding. "Ah, thanks! Don't go out of your way though, I'm sure you need some too." She wasn't sure if Beoreson had a profession, but even if he didn't, mats were always nice to have for trading purposes. The alchemist waved as he left and gave a great sigh as she was left to the empty shop once again before pulling open her menu to continue her reading, this time with a contented smile.

Piera entered the shop, having just returned from getting some food, still abysmal at crafting any of her own. She hadn't been great at cooking in real life, but she hadn't been terrible and missed the taste of the simple dishes she could make. Like ramen. She could make a mean bowl of ramen. Sighing at the unfulfilling NPC made meal, the brunette flipped her shop's sign from 'closed' to 'open'. Looking around the small shop, she didn't see much that needed cleaning so might as well get right into her crafting. She was both excited and anxious. Since she had leveled up her alchemy skill, she could craft crystals now. Additionally, she could also craft three times a day, a slight bump up from her former two times a day. But that being said, she only had three materials left. She would need to be extra careful.

Setting up her craft's utensils and turning the flames up under her cauldron, the brunette took out her first ingredient and performed her usual routine. Stirring the cauldron, she held her breath as she poured the concoction into the empty rectangular crystal and closed it before tapping the item to see its stats. Grimacing, she attempted to see if she could at least retrieve the materials but didn't see a way to do it without losing the crystal. Sighing at the loss, she set the crystal out of the way, in a square basket on the counter that she now marked as 'On Sale'. Maybe someone would buy it for cheap. Crystals were still useful even if they weren't good quality. She took out another ingredient and tried again, figuring that the first attempt was just bad luck accompanied with the fact that it was her first try at making a crystal. The process was slightly more complicated than making a potion. However she this attempt resulted in the same outcome as the first. Growling in frustration, Piera tossed the bad crystal in the 'sale' basket along with its twin before glaring at her utensils. Shaking her head she muttered, "Just need to take a break. Maybe clean this out and try again once I'm more focused."

So she did just that, wiping off her mortar and pestle and heaving the cauldron out to clean it before heaving it back in. The alchemist took time to read over the basic tutorial for crafting crystals once more to make sure she had it right and wondered if she hadn't let it stew for long enough. Opening her menu to take out her very last material, Piera stared at it before letting out a steady breath. This time...she would get it, she promised herself. Setting it in the mortar, she picked up the pestle before setting to crushing, making sure to grind up the material into a fine powder before shaking it into the cauldron and adding the proper liquids and additives. She held her breath as she stirred, never stopping as she eyed the consistency carefully. Finally, when it had began to become less watery and more syrupy, she turned the flames off and carefully ladled the results into an open crystal before closing it and slowly tapping the finished item with trepidation. Letting out a breath, Piera smiled at the uncommon crystal she had created. "At least I made you." She said, giving the crystal a little kiss before setting it up on the middle of the shelf behind her, the place of honor.

Kalesh stepped into the shop and immediately started to look around, humming to himself in thought as he examined the numerous potions that were listed throughout the shop. He figured more than a few would be helpful to him, but he was by no means rich enough to afford more than a single potion. After a moment of scanning through his inventory and comparing prices he speaks up to the owner and says "Heya! I'm interested in this potion!" He gestures to the stock list with a finger.

Piera was resting on the stool behind her shop's counter, her feet dangling and tapping gently against the back of the counter as her hands seemed to tap and swipe thin air. Or at least that's what it would look like to anyone else. But she was scrolling through her menu, reading through the guides and trying to find some useful information on material gathering. If she didn't get some soon, she'd probably have to turn away customers... That unpleasant thought brought a frown to her lips until she heard the door open with a chime and she put on a polite smile, greeting the player that entered. "Welcome!" The alchemist tried to watch out of her peripherals, so as not to make him uncomfortable with her rude staring, as the man browsed through her limited wares. He seemed roughly her age and about Lee's build, though as pale as herself minus the freckles. As he picked out the potion that he wanted, she nodded agreeingly. "One good quality HP Recovery Potion. That'll be two hundred and fifty col or one mat." But when he placed his payment on the counter, her eyes bulged behind her oval glasses before she tried to calm herself, but couldn't stop the grin coming to her face. Turning, the brunette plucked said potion off of the shelf and gently handed it to the male player before accepting the payment with joy. "Thank you so much for your business! Please come again." Her tone conveying how true her gratitude was.

+1 Mat

After her customer had exchanged pleasantries and concluded their business, Piera inspected the mat she had been paid with and decided that she couldn't wait to try and craft again. After all, she did need the wares. Getting out her mortar and pestle, she crushed and ground up the ingredient as the cauldron heated up with the base solution until she shook the powdered material into the bubbling liquid. She was starting to get a better hang on the process and was attempting to make another crystal. With any luck it would at least turn out as good as her last attempt...and hopefully not as bad as the ones before that. Sniffing and stirring the sticky looking liquid, the alchemist decided it was as done as it would ever be and carefully poured the result into a crystal before sealing it and checking the items stats. "And we have another winner." She mumbled with content pride. This was definitely going to be useful to someone. She set the rare quality HP recovery potion up on her shelf and added it to the roster.

After his mishap with the wolves he had attempted to take on which had left him pretty hurt, Carambit decided that keeping some health potions on hand was a great way to spend some of his hard earned Col. After wandering around and eavesdropping on some other adventuring parties passing through the starting town, he couldn't help but overhear them discussing a great potion shop up on the third floor. This sounded like just the place for him.

He entered the store and waved cheerfully at the store owner. He knew he had about 500 Col to play with, but if he could find another method to pay for the purchase, he would take it. He decided to ask about such an option. First thing's first however. He approached the store owner and shone through with one of his ever so warm, friendly smiles. "Hi!" he said "I'm Carambit, pleasure to meet you!" he said cheerfully. He always loved to be polite and friendly while meeting new people. Any stranger was a potential friend in his eyes, and friends were a great commodity to have in a place such as this. "Just curious, but... What kind of materials do you require to make these healing potions? And can someone of my level get them? I'm only level 8..." he scratched the back of his head, embarrassed.

It wasn't even an hour after she had finished crafting when she received another customer. Two in one day! Quite a record for her. Brightening at the chipper boy's wave, she chirped in greeting, "Welcome!" At the player's warm introduction, she couldn't help but smile back, one that wasn't just a polite business smile either. "Nice to meet you too Carambit. I'm Piera, as you might have guessed." She chuckled lightly, referring to the fact that the shop had her name on it. The alchemist tilted her head in interest as she listened to his query, her eyes looking off to the side momentarily as she thought. "Usually any player can find materials by either killing monsters, sometimes completing quests, or also by searching the world. Different professions require different materials and mine has a bit broader selection. I can use just about any kind of possible monster remains as well as any plants you might find about in the world. As for your level..." Her gaze returned back to the boy as she surveyed his equipment and tried to say in the kindest way possible. "I would stick to the first and maybe second floor for now just to be on the safe side. If you pay attention to the spawning areas, you can avoid running into monsters entirely and just look for plants to gather, but that's also pretty time consuming and a bit boring." The brunette woman smiled sympathetically.

He couldn't have helped but smile at how enthusiastic the lady reacted to gaining her new material. With the purchase completed he bowed his head and happily left as she put the material to good use. "No problem! Expect more where that came from when this guy runs out!" He grinned back to her as he stepped out and left her to the rest of her business. He had plans for this potion and there was no point in delaying them! He tossed it into his inventory and ran straight for the teleporter in town!

Blue needed some potions and he walked into a random potion shop that would probably provide him with the health potions that he needed. Blue looked around the shop, figuring out that the shop was probably own by a player. He took a sniff, realizing that there was a strange scent of nature inside the shop. Hm? He thought as he continued looking around before being greeted by a female voice, welcoming him to the shop. "Uh... hi." He started before looking at the stock of the shop. "I'll take both of your HP Recovery Potion and Crystal for 850 Col please." He said before making the trade offer.

{OOC: I apologize for not replying sooner, for some reason my notifications were turned off and I only just now looked at my shop.}

Piera was going over the list of ingredients she had used for which potions and crystals, trying to figure out the system and wondering if she could try experimenting when she got some more materials. Maybe even create some one of a kind potions...though she wasn't sure how much use they would have in battle, it would be fun making them and finding out the results. ....When she had the mats to spare that was. She needed every single one lately to keep up her stock. Looking up from her menu as she sat behind the counter, the brunette then saw a dark haired boy enter. "Welcome to my shop. What can I help you with?" She chimed with a polite smile as he greeted her a bit hesitantly before looking over her wares. After he spoke of what he was interested in, she nodded, doing the math in her head (albeit a bit slowly and possibly with fingers being held up) before nodding. "Alrighty, sounds like a deal." The alchemist watched as the trade window popped up on her menu and she selected a few things before accepting the offer with a smile. "Thank you for your business. Please come by if you need any more potions or crystals and be sure to tell your friends about Piera's Potent Potions!"
