Alex 0 Posted August 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2015 So was wondering, if I had only two threads completed can I go up to floor 11? If I'm not fighting the boss? ( I dont have two completed but It was just a question)
Hirru 0 Posted August 14, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2015 No, you'd need 10 [Completed] & [Locked] threads to participate in a Benchmark Rp. Then you would have to PM a Mod or GM with the list of completed rps + links to them. (that's why we keep a log of our rps in our journals) Afterwards, they will tell you what to do for your benchmark, if you qualify for one. Most quests do not count towards your benchmark, so be careful with that.Hopefully that helps ya! Alex 0 Posted August 14, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted August 14, 2015 No I mean how the benchmark tutorial thing says that the benchmarks are there if you wish to fight the boss. But what if I'm not fighting the boss?
Hirru 0 Posted August 14, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 14, 2015 You still need them to get to the next set of floors. It used to be sectioned off by every 10th floor, but the site changed a little.I would have to say that it is still the same, though, as they don't want anyone to just hop up to the 11th floor which is currently our front lines. To get to the 11th floor, you'll need to prove yourself with a benchmark first. Think of it as a test that you need to study up on, and your 10 Complete Rps are your study material. Solution Tristan Delaney 0 Posted August 15, 2015 Solution #5 Share Posted August 15, 2015 There's some confusion around this and rightly so since the past staff never fully addressed this in public when it was decided.Basically the benchmark is what you need to fight the Floor boss to progress to Floor 11 from Floor 10, to 21 from 20 etc. as a contingency plan to avoid low levels getting themselves ganked. It has no limit on travelling to floors already opened up. So hypothetically let's say we have Floor 50, you could travel at level 1 and done nothing up to Floor 50, even if the mobs would be suicidally hard. Why? Canon mostly, there are no canon restrictions known for floor travelling recorded. In summary, it only stops people too low level fighting the floor 10, 20, 30 etc. boss in vain but it does not stop you travelling to any floors.Feel free to ask any further questions.
