Kalesh's Not-A-Diary

Username: Kalesh
Real name: Richard Millard
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Height: 5 feet 9 inches

About:

Richard Millard, as he used to be called was one of the many to be trapped in the virtual world of Aincrad, but before the game locked him inside he lived a somewhat normal life. He worked a simple dead-end job for the small pay, but he didn't need to worry about luxury thankfully. A small apartment, internet, a tv, and of course games of all kinds! Aside from the necessities like food that was all he needed to live a relatively happy life. His relationship with his family is strained at best, his parents he does not care for but his younger sister was someone he always tried to defend. He often acted as the middleman between the two when living together, seeing how his sister had a hostile personality that made it hard for her to get her point across to others. He even avoided moving out of the house before her to help minimize conflicts.

Avatar:

Kalesh had shoulder length black hair and dark brown eyes, both having grown near black with age. He has since altered their colors using in-game services to unnatural colors as part of a tradition he has. His hair comes down to his waist and is now a bloody-red or crimson color, not to be confused with the color you'd find on a natural real life red-head. His eyes have also been changed to be an obvious green. His skin on the other hand is fairly pale, a side effect of his lifestyle no doubt. In general he seems narrow, with some definition to his muscles and very little fat thanks to his natural metabolism. Not exactly an Adonis but far from being about to die from being malnourished or a lack of exercise. As it stands his clothing is no different than any beginner's in this world.

Virtues:

Relaxed: He tends to be on the lighter side of things. If he got stressed out by everything and anything, he'd probably be insane by the fact alone that one slip up could lead to a chain reaction of death. He doesn't see any reason to be overly glum, yes the stakes are higher than in any other game, permadeath is a joke in other MMOs, but this game was at the end of the day designed to be fun.

Generous: He may be the first person in your party to grab up every coin in the area, but he will also be the first to toss you some coins for the drinks later when you all return alive. Why gamble your life everyday for coin if you are just going to hoard it? That and if you die the money just vanishes out of the economy so forget that. He'd rather give a man a loan than let something stagnate in his inventory.

Loyal: He is not particularly easy to gain the trust of, but once it's been gained, you'd be hard pressed to make him betray you. Odds are he'd sooner be marked an orange than protect his reputation and flee if you are under attack. His loyalty can be a bit of a double edged blade for himself though if he trusts the wrong person, they could probably fool him since he'd take them at their word.

Will to live: He refuses to die. No matter the dirty trick he needs, if it means he will live to fight again, he will use it to his full advantage. It won't be easy to put him down unless you catch him heavily off guard and somehow strip him of his items. He refuses the possibility of death and insists he will survive to the end, even if faced with adversity. Some people will probably call him honorless, but he refuses any such claim. Gained from listening to too many whine about doom and gloom.

Flaws:

Suspicious: If he doesn't know what you eat for breakfast, where you hang out, and your opinion on stabbing him, odds are he does not trust you and sleeps with a weapon ready for the day you shiv him. It's nothing personal to you, how you look, or something you've done. It's the fact alone that just because you are green, doesn't mean you can't be convinced to go orange, and if you are orange, it doesn't mean he necessarily believes your sob-story about being attacked first.

Unrelenting: When an enemy is in sight, and he is certain it can be killed, he'll all but throw himself towards his enemy in a clash of wills. A few hitpoints here, another there, to him the risk is worth the potential reward of victory. This has always been his go-to strategy as an MMO player, he adored the berserker's relentless assault style of combat, and casting skills from ones own hitpoints. He probably will not live long, but if he does, he will do so gloriously.

Slothful: The lap of luxury is a fine thing, and it can be found anywhere provided you look hard enough. A tree with a nice breeze and shade, a source of hot water in a tundra, a pile of conveniently chair shaped rocks. Any of these could be something he'll drop everything to partake in. His first priority is always enjoyment, and it's not a waste of time if you enjoy wasting your time. In case it was not clear, he does.

Self-Conscious: He is aware of his strength as well as his lack of strength. Spending time with those weaker as well as stronger than him has left him slightly unstable about his own power. Some days he will feel like a god of death, only to be torn from the sky and grounded back down. Having this done over and over has made him unsure of himself and if he is ready to stand beside those he considers strong or if he should accept obscurity. Gained from spending too much time with high level players.

Relationships:
(These are all Kalesh's point of view, regardless of how your character is.)
»Mack - Very
militaristic, intimidating and straight-forward. Kalesh has an impression he is probably nice once you get past that stuff. Unsure of final feelings due to liberal use of justice.
»Xion - He's decent enough smith, not a lot of personal knowledge of the man but he seemed fine enough.
»Piera - A kind woman who can take a joke, a good partner for gathering and just general conversation,
definitely considered a friend! Is also an alchemist.
»Lowenthal - Met him briefly but heard of him from Piera, assisted him in changing his cursor back to green.

»Teayre - She is a fairly nice artisan who sold him a few accessories that will serve him well, her shop was accommodating and had coffee so she is good in his books!
»Calrex - A friendly tank and obviously in a relationship with Teayre, hasn't shown any signs of hostility to Kalesh and even gave him kind words while assisting him in getting stronger!
»Opal - A somewhat mysterious women who seems to have been having a considerably rough time in Aincrad, even ending the life of a well known individual. Friend with benefits.
