[SP-F1 & F3] Quest: Worn out Welcome [COMPLETE]

There were discussions of a quest on the third floor where Kiseki could get his own custom armor. He's level 5 at the moment and will need some enchanted gear pretty soon. It doesn't matter whether his gear is strong or weak, he's gonna need something that'll keep him alive. Running around with basic armor and weapons won't allow Kiseki to last long. That's why he must meet a master armorsmith named Griswold. The armorsmith is apparently and NPC who'll make armor for materials. Kiseki is gonna want a type of armor he could move around in quickly. He plans on being a player who uses speed as an advantage. Light armor will definitely help with that. Hopefully the quest won't be too much for him.

Kiseki reached Griswold's shop. He didn't only notice Griswold, but another NPC who was female. Kiseki learned that the NPC's name was Hanna and she'd be making the leather armor Kiseki is looking for. They talked for a while in order to decide the plan for Kiseki's brand new armor. Kiseki will have to go back to the first floor and enter deeper into the forest than usual. There were stronger wolves the deeper a player goes into the forest. If Kiseki wants stronger armor, he'll need stronger leather. He'll have to get the fur of wolves into the forest and have Hannah turn it into leather in order to sew it. Kiseki is hoping he can find black colored fur, but he doubts that'll happen.

Not a very good thing to meet the alpha of a pack. He just made it to the first floor and encountered one. Hopefully the challenge won't be too hard for him, but how could he know? An alpha of a pack is an alpha for a reason. Kiseki already struggles with other wolves. Clearly the alpha is meant to be harder since it's the boss of a pack. So to Kiseki, this could be a mini boss battle. Kiseki quickly unsheathed his scimitar and glared at the wolf. He threw his sword up in the air and caught it after it spun once. He got in position to attack and watched carefully. The alpha growled and snarled. It was tempting for Kiseki to strike.

Kiseki made the first move. He felt stronger due to his level up. He was confident on taking out this wolf on his own. The alpha would watch as Kiseki dashed towards it. It'd crouch down getting ready to jump back for a dodge. Kiseki would immediately stop right in front of it. The alpha's balance was thrown off. Kiseki took this chance to make a uppercut swing on the alpha. The alpha tried resisting, but it couldn't. It however did quickly recover but tried to bite Kiseki. It's eyes opened wide as soon as it saw Kiseki about 5 feet away from it. Kiseki took a quick strike and quickly backed away. Looks like he gave the alpha a challenge.

Kiseki waited as the wolf alpha charged at him. The alpha would make a zigzag motion making it hard for Kiseki to spot. He's gonna have to wing this one. The alpha was closing in, so Kiseki slowly lowered his scimitar in order to get ready for an attack. As soon as the alpha was in range, Kiseki swung down his sword and ended up losing his balance. The alpha stoppedand jumped back, and was obviously trying to copy Kiseki. As soon as the jump was finished, Kiseki tried his best to dodge an incoming bite attack. And he did once the wolf leaped at him and snapped its jaws. Kisek would bring his balance back and face the wolf.

"You're smart for an AI. Too bad I'm planning to be smarter."

Kiseki really wanted to hurry this quest up. Something clicked. It was his goal to catch up. A new set of armor is a new step, and it was a step he wanted to take quickly. He made a very quick dash at the alpha and attacked with a very weak but quick swing. The attack was weak enough for the alpha to shake off. The mob would take the chance to bite Kiseki's vulnerable thigh. It wouldn't let go even with Kiseki punching the top of its head. Eventually Kiseki managed to get it off by grabbing it's jaw and throwing it. Once the alpha was ripped off, Kiseki looked at his hand and noticed that he took some damage from grabbing the jaw. There were pixelated cuts. He saw his health bar and knew he could continue.

"It's fun fighting you, but you're annoying me and I'm kind of in a hurry" Kiseki remarked. He spun his scimitar around while glaring at the wolf ahead of him. "I plan on taking you out."

Kiseki would sprint at the wolf and would slowly raise his sword. The wolf stood still for some reason. It was probably due to it being injured. It doesn't matter because if that's the case, Kiseki has a big advantage. Kiseki sliced twice making an X on the alpha's forehead. The alpha would then glow and shatter into pixels. A menu popped up showing Kiseki's rewards. It was some Col and a piece of leather as the quest item.

"Heck yeah!"

Kiseki was at this moment trying to get straight to business. He has one out of four quest items. He found another wolf, but this was no alpha. It was stronger than the ones he's fought before that's for sure. Kiseki already had his scimitar out and was in a defensive stance. He currently stares down the wolf. The wolf charged in with its fangs hungry for a player. It acted like it was gonna jump, but instead a lunge. Kiseki was caught by surprised and was bitten on his exposed shin. He managed to shake the wolf off and jumped back a bit.

"I probably should have rested up" he muttered to himself. "Really stupid move on my part..."

The wolf rushed in for Kiseki again. It was going in a zigzag motion like the alpha Kiseki fought a while back. Once the wolf became arms reach, Kiseki made a quick uppercut swing at it. The wolf whimpered and forced itself to make some distance between it and Kiseki. A defensive position was made by Kiseki knowing the wolf would go for a quick attack again. Kiseki knows the wolf is fast, that's why he needs to be faster. He plans on making speed a huge advantage while he stays in the wolrd of Aincrad.

The wolf dashed in with a straight movement. Kiseki took a few steps in and attempted a single slash at it. The wolf rolled out of the way and lunged at Kiseki. The attack was hard to dodge, but Kiseki managed it by spinning out of the way. The wolf turned and lunged at Kiseki once again. Instead of biting Kiseki's body, the wolf bit the blade of his sword. Kiseki took the opportunity to kick the wolf back and step in to slash. Unfortunately, the wolf managed to take a step back allowing Kiseki to miss.

Kiseki rolled his eyes. "I really would like to get this quest over with."

The wolf made another dash at Kiseki. "This is starting to get old!" Kiseki yelled at the wolf. He immediately tripped the wolf causing a failure to its attack. The wolf was down on the ground completely vulnerable. Kiseki ran in and sliced at the wolf's head and would slide away before it got back up. Once the wolf managed to stand, it shook itself and would glare at Kiseki. It growled a menacing one.

"Oh? Is the big bad wolf angry?" Kiseki taunted. "You better prove your worth by coming at me a different way." Kiseki was clearly annoyed that the wolf "spammed" the same tactic. He's back to focusing now.

Kiseki made a quick dash while the wolf stayed still. As Kiseki ran in, he raised his sword for a vertical slash. The wolf made a very quick lunge at Kiseki's exposed chest. A strong bite was made into Kiseki's pixelated flesh causing critical damage. Kiseki noticed his health bar getting lower and tried retaliating with a slash to the wolf's torso. The wolf saw the attack coming and would let go before Kiseki's blade came in contact. It would leap back allowing distance from itself and Kiseki.

"Oh come on!" an angered Kiseki would remark. He was getting irritated pretty quickly.

Kiseki is pretty close to his halfway mark. To him it doesn't look so good. It looks like he'll have to finish this up quickly. He needs to rest after the battle either way. There was a huge mistake Kiseki was making during this battle. He was spending time constantly thinking on getting the battle done, that he didn't realize the wolf already bit into his stomach. This wake up call caused him to frantically react with a random swing. It was close, but the wolf easily dodged by ducking down. It then aimed for Kiseki's legs.

"Screw you!" Kiseki jumped up and spun around with his blade being used to strike. The wolf's back was pierced while Kiseki was at his tornado-like movement. The wolf immediately glowed and shattered like it always does. After Kiseki landed, he got the quest item, but no Col. To him it was good enough.

Kiseki was tired to the point where he'd collapse in real life. He was already at the Town of Beginnings and was watching his health bar the whole time he walked to the inn. The bar was yellow, but close to hitting orange or red. He honestly doesn't know which color it would be since he's always been so careful. It scares him sometimes thinking about getting that low of health. He was a little happy he ended up leveling up though. Hopefully the fights from now on will be easier for the rest of the quest, but he can't be so sure. At the moment he plans on just resting himself.

The grassland looked as fresh as always. Kiseki wanted to stick with easy targets. At the moment he scanned the horizon for a couple of wolves he could fight at the same time. He figured it'd be quick and easy to fight two at once. Especially if they're wolves that aren't deep in the forest. Wolves out in the grasslands tend to be significantly weaker than the counterpart in the forest. After a while of scanning the area ahead of him, Kiseki noticed a pack of wolves splitting up. He searched for a pair and ran off towards them.

There was a significant change in Kiseki's level. Unfortunately, he hasn't noticed yet. He probably will since he just purposely alerted the two wolves of his presence. They were in front of him now, in crouched positions in order to leap at Kiseki who doesn't even have his scimitar out. He was planning on waiting for their attacks. If he doesn't hold onto something, he could dodge so must quicker without the risk of dropping his blade. Kiseki's current tactic is to draw his enemies' attacks before he strikes himself. Probably a suicide move, but this is a game and he has something called a health bar.

Wolf number one runs up with wolf number two right behind it. It was a confusing attack pattern, so Kiseki would have to block. The first wolf jumped up and clamped onto Kiseki's arm after he used to to block. It was a strong grip causing more damage. The second wolf came in and jumped at Kiseki from the front. Kiseki moved the first wolf in front of the second's attack. The second wolf ended up jumping into the first one causing them both to be stunned. Kiseki took this chance and made a quick uppercut swing at the first wolf.

The wolf quickly recovered and jumped at Kiseki. His arm was brought up for a simple block. While that happened, the second wolf came running at Kiseki. A quick turn and simple trip gave Kiseki time to swing at the wolf that still holds onto him. The wolf would let go giving it some space from Kiseki. The second wolf managed to get up and rejoined its comrade's side. The two stood next to each other crouched down with their fur puffed up. Kiseki got into a defensive position getting ready to brace against the attack. He's not very experienced in a 2v1.

The two wolves moved to a point where both of Kiseki's side would get attacked. Kiseki looked at both wolves trying to figure out a pattern. It was already too late. Both wolves charged at him. Kiseki's only thought was to do what he did earlier. The second wolf jumped at Kiseki. The block he's been using worked again. He faced the other wolf and was exactly on time. The wolf jumped, but Kiseki react quick enough to make a slash at the wolf's face. The wolf fell down dead. It glowed and shattered. While that happened the second wolf made room for another attack.

"Great. This is so much fun" said a sarcastic Kiseki.

Kiseki charged in at the wolf with his blade ready. A quick slash was made at the wolf. The wolf ducked without a problem and bit onto Kiseki's leg. Once that happened, Kiseki took another swing. The wolf jumped back and would then jump forward for another bite. Kiseki made a quick turn causing the wolf to fly pass him. It was close, but Kiseki was fine. Unfortunately, the wolf landed faster than Kiseki could recover. The wolf jumped at Kiseki with its fangs ready to chomp. Kiseki couldn't dodge, he could block the way he has been. The wolf grabbed onto Kiseki's arm causing it to be vulnerable. A swing was made by Kiseki, but the wolf easily dodged.

"Damn! That was my only chance to turn the tide of the battle" Kiseki angrily muttered. He'd grit his pixelated teeth. He's so close to finishing this quest up.
