[SP-F6] <<Calming of the soul>> Dueling inner demons

Xion sighed as he appeared in the main settlement on floor six, it was a large village, filled with female Amazon NPCs. The tank sighed as he looked at his quest log, he was going to do the quest to earn the <<Meditation>> skill, which was meant to mitigate the effects of paralysis and the like, a very useful skill to have in both PVP and PVE. He opened his map, looking for the area in which he could meditate, it was meant to be a serene waterfall, with clear flowing water. But he couldn't find it. "Maybe I have to find it myself..." he muttered, before sighing once more, and setting off into the jungle outside of the village.

Xion walked for what felt like ages, stumbling through the thick undergrowth as he searched for the waterfall described in the quest. It took him the beast part of an hour, but eventually he found it. It was a beautiful sight, the constant flowing of the clear water, the large variety of flowers surrounding it. "This seems like it" he said, as he approached the pool of water.

As Xion studied the pool, he noticed two stones in the middle of the pool, facing each other. They were large enough for a person to sit on. "So...I must battle my inner demons here..." he said, before walking slowly into the pool, the water reaching up to his knees as he approached the stones, before stepping onto one, sitting cross-legged upon it. Xion inhaled deeply, calming himself in an attempt to enter a meditative state.

Xion continued to breathe in this fashion, deep, slow breathes that helped to calm his body and clear his mind of any thought so that he could meditate. As he did, his surroundings melted into nothingness, even sound becoming nothing as his mind emptied. But something...no, someone was slowly appearing. It was Xion, a mirror image of himself, but it was mostly black, with red showing the closer details and outlines. 'What...is this?' he thought, as the phantom appeared in his mind. 'Is this my inner demons?' it would appear so, as the phantom seemed to invite Xion to battle him, beckoning him  to stand. 'This must be it, this must be how I defeat it...'

Xion stood and faced the phantom version of himself, only now did he realise how...menacing he could look at times, as the phantom had his armour, shield and sword. He bowed to it, before drawing his blade and shield. 

 

"I will defeat you..." he said, as the Phantom copied his movements. Xion then charged, swinging his blade in a wide arc, aiming to get past it's shield. But, to his surprise the phantom did the exact same thing, both blades clanging against their respective shields. "What...?" Xion said, confused, how could it copy him perfectly? 

 

Xion decided that now was not the time for such things, he went for another strike, this time a direct downward one, and once again the Phantom copied him, both of them blocking the blows.
