PP-F3 Like a Soliton with Jevi

Recommended Posts

Aramail was running on the third floor. It had been a good long time since he had been on this floor. It was his favorite floor by far. Floor eleven had it's beaches and charm. But It paled in the serenity and peacefulness of the third floor. It was on this floor that he had found his pet Ninken. Who happily ran beside him, through the fields of tall grass. Lowenthal tripped in the middle of his run, and started to tumble down a hill. As he collected himself, and spat grass out of his mouth he saw a pair of shoes in front of his feet. He looked up, grass on his face. "Well, hello there Madam." He said, the sun glaring in his face, and he picked himself up off the ground and fell backward. He laughed again, a bit too joyous for his own good. "So, who're you?" Lowenthal asked the stranger.

For something.. so peaceful... there seems to be.. a ton of these guys here..
Jevi found herself caught in a small jam, accidentally disturbing a couple of goblins taking a nap in the flower fields of Floor Three. The small enemies carried daggers, as they frantically surrounded Jevi, taking turns at striking at her. Jevi was able to manage to defend herself using her Scorpion Slicer blade, taking out one of the goblins in the process. ~"Theres one..." A second one jumped onto Jevi's back and latched on. Thinking quickly, Jevi turned her body towards the third goblin, grabbed the arms of the one on her back, and threw him forward, knocking the two weaklings into each other. From there, she was easily able to slide her sword into both of them, the mobs exploding into blue data fragments as they were defeated. ~"Phew..." Jevi wiped the back of her hand on her forehead and placed her sword back into her waistband.

Suddenly from behind her, she heard the sound of tumbling coming down a hill. She turned to see a player, with an orange cursor bobbing over his rolling body as it plowed towards her. Lucky for her, the player face planted into the dirt just before her. W..what the..? And an orange cursor.. is he a pker..? She crossed her arms under her bosom, ~"Have a nice trip?" she smirked

Lowenthal laughed at the woman's joke. "Nice trip. I get it. Funny." He said, in between his laughter. He stood up, and dusted himself off. "I'm Lowenthal, Master of Shadows." He said, introducing himself to the woman. "You frequent floor 5 often?" Lowenthal asked, noting her desert attire. Holding out his hand offering a handshake to the woman, in a polite manner. Lowenthal had been lacking in the first impression department recently. "So, you visit floor 3 often, or?" Lowenthal asked, fumbling with his words.

Unfolding her arms, she placed her hands on her hips and looked at the player as he stood up. ~"Master of Shadows?" she questioned the title. Funny.. he didn't seem like a stealthy type. She could have heard him coming from a mile away, judging by that fall he just had. Oh well, maybe there was more to him than meet the eye, ~"I'm Jevi." Why was this guy asking if she went to Floor Five often? How did he even know? She then noticed he was looking down at her choice of clothing. She did not think it was very 'desert' like.. but she figured the Bandit Scarf would make the whole outfit change. ~"Yeah actually.. my shop is up on the Fifth Floor.. So I'm there most of the time." She then realized that the man was not pointing at her outfit, like she thought he was and ignored it, but actually had his hand out to greet her. Blinking at the man's hand, Jevi slowly reached her hand out and grabbed it gently, nodding her head. ~"Actually.. this is my first time on this Floor. Should have made it a point to come here sooner though." she turned her head, looking around at the scenic hills surrounding them.

Lowenthal couldn't help but let out a big grin that stretched across his face. "A pleasure to meet you, Madam Jevi." Lowenthal said, doing a slight bow to the woman. "First time on this floor? It is a nice floor isn't it?" Lowenthal asked her, turning his back to her and enjoying the wind that blew. The breeze moved the ankle and knee high grass move, as if it was the sea. The scent of summer and spring, wafting at the same time. To Lowenthal, this place was the most peaceful. It made him forget all of his troubles. The Boss meeting, the troubles with his guild, his boyfriend ignoring him, and being labeled as a murderer. All of it escaped him as he stood here, gazing into nature. "Anyway." He said, turning back to Jevi. "It's a bit too quiet here for my tastes. Would you mind if I accompanied you to somewhere more, fun?" He asked.

Jevi chuckled lightly at the man's introduction, calling her Madam Jevi and giving her a bow. Whats with this guy.. he seems alright though. ~"Yeah.. Never been up here before. I haven't done much moving from the first floor until now." She felt the light, cool breeze pass through the grass and around her body. She felt her whole body release tension as she felt the cool air. ~"Somewhere different?"  She wondered what he had in mind.. Not even taking into account the man had killed another player.. It could be a trap of some sort. Then again, he seemed harmless.. ~"What did you have in mind?" she said, crossing her arms.

Lowenthal shrugged his shoulders. "Heh,You pick. As long as it's got three things. One. It's not in a safe zone. Two. It's not on floor four. And three. It's got to be fun. As much fun as you can muster." He said, holding up fingers to count. Truth was, being in the world of SAO was getting to be boring. It went from lots of unique adventures and new people, to politics and a small knit group of people. The fun in life, the adventure, the surprise, the fun of it was now all missing. He needed something to spice up his life, if only a little bit.

Jevi scoffed, ~"Well what would be the fun of it being in the safe zone." her lips curving into a smirk. She put her hand up, waving her finger with a wink, ~"Not so fast Master of Shadows.. it was your idea to find something more fun.. I think you need to take this one." She placed her hands on her hips and grinned.. He was the veteran of the game after all.. he knew where all the fun places were. ~"Well, why wouldnt you want to go to Floor Four? But either way... lets do something.. different." placing her hand on her chin, she looked at Lowenthal, hoping he would come up with a creative idea for the two.

Lowenthal leaned back, slowly laying down on his back. "I don't like it there. It's far too cold, and it makes me sneeze a lot. The fact that I set up shop on floor 11 is such a hassle." Lowenthal said. "Coming down here took most of the day, and all day yesterday." He said, still unable to use the games fast teleportaion system. "And besides, everyone sees the fourth floor as something special when it's not. It's just snow, like this is just grass and those are just clouds." He said, cloud watching. "I don't know anywhere that's fun. I was just aimlessly walking, trying to find something to do. That's why I was hoping you had an idea." Lowenthal said, looking down at the woman at his feet. Lowenthal chuckled. "Sorry, you didn't stay here to hear me complain." He said, apologizing.

~"Too cold? Hm.. A snowy floor does sound pretty interesting, to be honest.. Though not expected, since theres fields, and a desert, and apparently even giant forests." She always liked the heat much better than the snow, being why she placed herself on the Fifth Floor. However, she did not mind the snow.. could make for a cute date with Shaya one day she had to admit. She would keep it in the back of her mind. She laughed, ~"Just don't make a habit of it." she said, teasing the man. She crossed her arms and closed her eyes, ~"I guess I'll try and think of something.. say.." She remembered on her last adventure on the desert floor, mentioning to Grave about finding a beach here in SAO and if it even exists.. maybe someone like Lowenthal, who hated the cold.. might know of such a place. ~"Do you know.. if there are any beaches in Aincrad?"

Lowenthal sat up when he heard the magical word. "A beach~?" He asked, almost whimsically. "Just so happens, I live on the beach. All the way up on floor eleven." He said, happily and matter of factly. "Say, would you like to visit? I could, escort you there. If you'd like." Lowenthal offered, standing up. He needed to be heading back soon anyway, otherwise mobs were going to start spawning in the caves again. "We'll have to take the long way, seeing as that's the most fun. That, and I'm not allowed to use the teleporters anymore." Lowenthal said, pointing to the orange cursor above his head.

Jevi's eyes lit up and her lips curved into a smirk.. which in turn turned into a bright smile. ~"You live on the beach huh? Alright, that sounds great. Lets go!" She grabbed Lowenthal's hand excitedly and began to walk towards the town, where they would find the warp gate. That was when Lowenthal stopped the girl, telling her they would have to take the long way.. all the way up to Floor Eleven... from Floor Three.. ~"Uhm... and just how long... would it take us to get to Floor Eleven...?" she slowly let go of his hand, with a bad feeling in her gut she was not going to like the answer he was going to give her.
