Lawfer 0 Posted September 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 12, 2015 (edited) "Floor 3, Delilah Village." Lawfer stated as he was engulfed in light. As he re materialized on the third floor he smiled. The spear bearer had been to most of the floors that had currently been accessible to him, but this was his first time in Delilah Village. Typically, he had skipped between the first, fourth and sixth floors, with some minor visits to the second and fifth. As he stood in the middle of the elven village he looked from right to left. It was a quaint little town, nothing remarkable, except the elves. They were all interesting to him, not only did the blonde haired warrior get to experience new places, but new new races were even more astounding. As he walked down the central street his eyes continually switched gazes from one NPC to the next. "So this is what middle earth would be like." He stated sarcastically. "Well I'm not here for the NPC's. I need to get to the real business at hand." The warrior needed to try out his new halberd and collect more materials. Making his way out of town, the man began to strut through the fields of dandelions. "Well, this certainly is beautiful." He stated as he knelt down and ran his fingers over the flowers. He could smell the strength of their sweet aroma. "This would be a good date spot." the warrior commented as he stood back up. "I'll have to remember this place." He paused momentarily to take in the view once more. After he had his share of the sights, he pressed forward. Edited September 15, 2015 by Lawfer
Lawfer 0 Posted September 12, 2015 Author #2 Share Posted September 12, 2015 (edited) As the sweet smell of the flowers faded, Lawfer noticed he had passed into one of the many green Prairie's that this floor was know for. Having passed well out of the safe zone, Lawfer removed his halberd from its harness on his back. Prior to his previous adventure into the sand, he was never the over cautious one, however, due to the new sword art system all of that had changed. The world he was just beginning to understand had reached up and rocked his newly grown confidence. Looking forward, the Spearbearer had spotted his first enemy. It was a wolf, in comparison to the wolves on the first floor it was slightly smaller, but its mandible was overgrown. "I guess I am going to have to figure out the new system one way or the other." He stated as he began sprinting towards the wolf. The wolf had raised its head. Much like any canine, its sense were enhanced well beyond the status of a human. Lawfer had no idea if it had smelt or heard him first. As the beast charged his way, it leaped forward at Lawfer. The monster sunk its teeth into his leading leg. As his HP bar shrunk, he realized the damage wasn't as severe as he would have imagined. Prying it off with the butt of his halberd, Lawfer stepped back. The Lawbreaker glowed, <<Twin Thrust>>. Before Lawfer Realized it, he had stepped forward and thrusted twice. Once at the neck and the next at the beasts legs. It had stunned the wolf in its tracks. "Nice!!! I could get used to this!!!"<< Battle Engaged>>Lawfer's HP: 27/29Lawfer's SP: 9/11Prairie Wolf: 1/15 [+9 Dmg Mod]ID: 31240BD: 10 [+2 Crit Dmg] MD: 9 [+1 Crit Dmg] Edited September 12, 2015 by Lawfer
Lawfer 0 Posted September 12, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted September 12, 2015 Lawfer smiled. He had successfully used a Sword art on his first try, effectively stunning the beast, leaving him open for the perfect finish. Raising his Halberd, he rushed forward and swung horizontally at the wolf with the intent to decapitate the beast. As his Halberd rose, it skimmed the top of the monster, barely missing. "Ah crud!" He stated as the momentum of the swing effectively spun him. The beast had awoken from its temporary incapacitation. As it growled viciously it leapt back to create enough space for Lawfer to not have a clear shot. "So that's how its going to be?" The blond spearman stated as he lowered his stance. "It's ok. Ill Get you with this next one." He calmly stated as he tracked the beast with his glare.<< Battle Engaged>>Lawfer's HP: 27/29Lawfer's SP: 7/11Prairie Wolf: 1/15 [+9 Dmg Mod]ID: 31241BD: 2 [+1BD from LM, +1DMG from HM on next roll]MD: Stunned
Lawfer 0 Posted September 12, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted September 12, 2015 (edited) The wolf Lunged forward once more. Having seen the attack before, Lawfer side-stepped to the right allowing the wolf to pass by. As it stopped in its tracks to turn around, Lawfer raised the Lawbreaker once more. Thrusting downward's with his weapon, it caught the overgrown mandible of the beast. As it made contact, the beast shattered into thousands of blue pixel crystals. "Well, Mack sure did a great job with this weapon." He stated as he spun the giant spear over his head and slammed it down, creating a cloud of flying grass and dust. "Ok, so I can handle beasts on this floor relatively well. Shouldn't be a problem moving up a floor next time I collect Materials." He stated as he kneeled down next to the prairie wolf he had just slain and collected his spoils of war. "Time to go Material hunting." Lawfer 0 Posted September 12, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted September 12, 2015 As the blonde spearman pressed forward, he couldn't help but feel the gentle breeze against his cheek. As the breeze continued his blonde hair drifted back, closing his eyes he could once again smell the dandelions from the field not too far away. "I'm really starting to like this floor." He stated with a grin. The little moments such as these always reaffirmed that he was still alive, whether it be in this world or the real one. "I should be looking for some material points." He concluded as he opened his eyes. He hadn't been to this floor before so it was no surprise to him that they material points were probably different than on the previous floors. As his search continued he found himself at the edge of a forest. He had been warned about the forest by his information broker. It was a place of high level beasts, ones that he would rather not mess with at the moment. Tracing the outskirts of the forest, he cam across a hallowed out tree. It had glowed similar to the others on floor 1. Reaching into the tree he grabbed hold of the teal glowing crystal that had take up residence. Before he knew it, the crystal shattered in his hand. "I guess it was a dud. Onto the next one!" He stated to himself as he withdrew his hand from the center of the glowing tree.---ID: 31245 LD:14(fail)--
Lawfer 0 Posted September 13, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted September 13, 2015 (edited) Keeping himself in the shadow of the tree line, Lawfer paruzed the foliage for any possible crystal material points. It wasn't likely that he would find any, but his mission depended on it. He needed more material crystals to keep his shop afloat. Looking over his shoulder to his right, he noticed a glowing indent in one the trees once more. As he made his way over, he looked around. There were no enemies, but it was eerie. It seemed like they stayed away from the forest. "There must be a reason why." He commented as he reached the glowing tree. Reaching into the crevice, he pulled the cystal out. It was a dark blue, low quality. He wouldn't be able to use it. Throwing it to the side, he looked once more around the tree line. "This floor isnt the best for materials I guess." He stated as he leaned against the tree. ---Material GatheringID: 31282 LD:10 Fail Edited September 13, 2015 by Lawfer
Lawfer 0 Posted September 13, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted September 13, 2015 (edited) There was still a hint of blue emanating from the crevice in the tree. "I guess i get a second shot." The blond spearman stated as he reached up once more. 'This might be my lucky day.' he thought to himself. as his hand plunged into the tree, he could feel crystal, as he pulled it out, it shattered into his hand. "Son of a b***h!" He yelled into the hollow tree. As he ripped his arm out, he turned back to the field of dandelions. "Screw it... Im just gonna go kill some monsters." He was momentarily mentally defeated. As he raced into the flower field, the aroma once again caught his attention. 'Just calm down...' He knew that if he rushed at any monster in his current sate he would be felled by any beast. ---Material GatheringID: 31286 LD:1 Edited September 13, 2015 by Lawfer
Lawfer 0 Posted September 13, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted September 13, 2015 (edited) Lawfer's rage had quelled. He was no longer, mad or upset at the luck he was having trying to gather materials. He did want to find a beast for his Lawbreaker to tear apart but either way he would have to find one. The prairie wolves were a common site on this floor but none were in his immediate vicinity. Like the materials, he was having a little trouble finding them. As he walked amongst the golden flowers, the man was at piece. This floor was far more forgiving than some of the others. "Lets see, were can I find another wolf." He asked himself as he surveyed the area. Grasping his halberd in his right hand he continued on. As he traversed the field, he noticed a blip on his map. It looked like he had found his pray. Picking up the pace, he finally got a visual confirmation.Raising his halberd over his shoulder, he raced forward. He was going to get a drop on the prairie wolf this time. s the golden haired warrior came within range, he jumped. While he was airborne, he slammed down his weapon. The crimson tassel danced in the wind. The wolf was more agile than he originally planned. As it rolled out of the way of the strike, it lunged forward. The spearman angled out slightly to the left and raised the shaft of his weapon to block the over sized mandible of the monster. As the two bounced off of each other, LAwfer raised his gaurd. His deep blue eyes glaring at the beast.<< Battle Engaged>>Lawfer's HP: 29/29 Lawfer's SP: 10/11Prairie Wolf: 15/15 [+9 Dmg Mod]ID: 31290BD: 4 [+1HM DMG & +1LM BD next roll]MD: 2 Edited September 13, 2015 by Lawfer
Lawfer 0 Posted September 13, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted September 13, 2015 (edited) Grasping the Lawbreaker tightly, the spear-wielder looked for an opening. It wasn't the first time he had fought this species of wolf, but this one was proving to be troublesome, it has evaded his first attack. If it wasn't for the reliable build of his new weapon he would have sustained damage. Lawfer was grateful for such a weapon now. Racing forward, Lawfer would try to regain the flow of the battle. As he closed distance, the warrior examined the monster. It had left itself open after its last attack. The spear-bearer began to charge his newest skill. "Twin Thrust!" He exclaimed as he thrusted twice. Once aiming for the jugular of the beast, and the second at its leg. As the spear tip of his Lawbreaker tore into the beast it collapsed. Struggling to stand up it stood their in a daze. "Ill finish this in one more blow." Lawfer 0 Posted September 13, 2015 Author #10 Share Posted September 13, 2015 Lawfer smiled as he watched the disabled wolf somewhat regain its bearing. The man's stance widened as he pointed his Lawbreaker towards the beast. This was going to be the deciding blow. As the beast charged rearing its teeth toward the warrior, Lawfer stepped forward. "I stake everything on this single blow!!!" Stretching his hands out with his halberd, it plunged deep into the prairie wolfs mouth. At the moment of impact, the monster dissolved into shining blue crystals that evaporated almost instantaneously. Bending over, Lawfer picked up the bag of lot that was left by the wolf. It looked like the monsters were a better source of materials on this level. "Well lets see if I cant go about getting Materials this way." The brilliant warrior stated as he began to make his way toward the tree line once more trying to spot the next of his pray.<< Battle Engaged>>Lawfer's HP: 29/29 Lawfer's EP: 7/11SA Used: NonePrairie Wolf: 0/15 [+9 Dmg Mod]ID: 31297BD: 6MD: 1LD: 17- +75 col +1Material
Lawfer 0 Posted September 13, 2015 Author #11 Share Posted September 13, 2015 As Lawfer made his way towards the tree line, he heard a vicious howl from behind him. His golden hair flared as he abruptly turned, all that he could feel is a large body catch him from behind, forcing him forward. He could see his HP drop, 'its a surprise attack'. Lifting himself off the ground he caught eyes with the beast. "You bas****!!!" It was another prairie wolf. This time it had caught him off guard. Planting his left leg in front, he watched the monster circle back. "That's it your mine!" He yelled as he sprang forward. The tassel of the Lawbreaker danced in the air, it was time for his favorite Sword Art. As the spearbearer slide to a stop in front of the beast he thrusted high. It was going to be too high. As the blue eyed warrior exhaled, <<concentrate>> activated, guiding his Twin Thrust into the head then the legs of the beast. Watching the monsters health dip down into the red zone the warrior laughed. "I'm gonna make you pay for that cheap shot!" he stated confidently as he spun the Lawbreaker over his head.<< Battle Engaged>>Lawfer's HP: 28/29 Lawfer's EP: 5/11SA Used: Twin Thrust -2EPPrairie Wolf: 3/15 [+9 Dmg Mod]ID: 31326BD: 5 +1BD concentrationMD: 6 -2 Thorn Damage, stunned
Lawfer 0 Posted September 13, 2015 Author #12 Share Posted September 13, 2015 As Lawfer circled the beast in its comatose state, he looked fro an opening. He didn't know how long the stun lasted for, but it couldn't be for long. As he pressed forward he looked at the monster. Its over sized jaw protruded out and what looked like excess amounts of drool dripped from its cheeks. Racing forward, Lawfer swing his Halberd horizontally in attempt to fell the beast. As the Lawbreaker drifted up, it skimmed the hair of the wolf, arousing it from its stunned state."Ah crap!" Lawfer yelled as he leaped back in attempt to make distance between himself and the beast. Lawfer 0 Posted September 13, 2015 Author #13 Share Posted September 13, 2015 Anger and hated filled the Prairie Wolf's aura as it speed toward the Warrior of the Spear. His Halberd was raised to perfectly defend him. So he thought, the wolf had broken his defenses and sunk its teeth into the golden haired hero's leg. Its large mandibles unrelenting as they tore into the mans virtual body. Using this to his advantage, Lawfer raised the spear head on his Halberd then slammed it straight into the wolfs back. Dissipating it into nothing but blue data pixels that would eventually dissolve. "This one was a bit tougher than the last!" the golden haired man stated as he observed his HP. "I think I will be ready for the next floor now." Aiming himself directly for the tree line again, he needed to find more materials. Lawfer 0 Posted September 14, 2015 Author #14 Share Posted September 14, 2015 (edited) As Lawfer found himself at the tree line once more, he surveyed the area. He was beginning to become accustomed to the layout of the floor. It seemed as though the lower level mobs stuck to the outskirts of the dandelion field, and most of the materials were along forest. This made for a relatively easy pattern for hunting and collecting materials. That was if luck was on your side. The faint glow of a crystal material could be seen a short ways off. As the spear bearer strapped the lawbreaker to his back, he pressed onward. having made his way to the glowing stump, Lawfer reached in. As he pulled the crystal out it was lack luster and fading. A poor material crystal indeed.Material GatheringID: 31433 LD:4 Edited September 14, 2015 by Lawfer
Lawfer 0 Posted September 14, 2015 Author #15 Share Posted September 14, 2015 (edited) Lawfer struggled to show his disappointment as he threw the bad material away to his . Looking around once more he noticed another tree in the distance. Pressing on-wards he checked out his surroundings. The field of dandelions was vast and beautiful. had the situation been any different, he would have enjoyed just laying in the field and taking a nap, but mobs tend to take that luxury away. The blond haired warrior had reached the next site of a possible material. Reaching into the crevice that was in the tree, he pulled out another stone. "Not again!!!" He yelled as he slammed the poor quality crystal to the ground, shattering it into data pixels. "I need to at least get one!!!" He yelled once more as he watched the pixels evaporate into nothingness.Material GatheringID:31435 LD: 13 Edited September 14, 2015 by Lawfer
Lawfer 0 Posted September 14, 2015 Author #16 Share Posted September 14, 2015 (edited) Looking into the hole in the tree once more, there was still a faint iridescent glow. "Lets see if my luck is changing." The spear toting warrior stated as he peered into the crevice. "Ill try with my left hand this time." he jokingly said to himself trying to amass some sort of humor. "God of luck be on my side." As he reached in once more and blindly searching by touch. Feeling what looked like a stone he pulled it out of the tree. It was the glowing crystal... However, all but one side glowed. That would be why the green glow was faint at best. Throwing it to the side, Lawfer sat down, resting his back against the tree. "Well looks like this time around I am not going to get anything." he paused momentarily as he pulled up his interface. Lawfer 0 Posted September 14, 2015 Author #17 Share Posted September 14, 2015 (edited) Standing up, Lawfer looked to his left. It seemed as though there was a another wandering prairie wolf that made its way into the dandelion field from the open plain to the east. Reaching back, the warrior smiled. He was planning on taking down this wolf then making his way back to town for some much needed, relaxation in his studio. Sprinting towards the beast, the golden haired man let out a battle cry. There was no sneak attack planned, he was going to crush the wolf in a all out brawl. The wolf charged as well, leaping with its large canines aimed at the spearbearer's head. Pulling the Lawbreaker from its harness, Lawfer swung wildly trying to connect with it midair. The wolf lowered its head, causing the head of the halberd to miss high. Stepping left quickly, Lawfer evaded the beast. "Calm down... Calm down.." The custom Halberd began to glow blue and gold as he positioned himself closer to strike the wolf. "Twin Thrust!!!" Lunging forward, the spearman thrusted twice. Once aimed at the head then another at the legs. "Now Fall!!!" Echoed across the prairie as the native wolf, turned blue then shattered into countless blue data pixels. As the shroud of blue lifted, then faded, there was nothing left of the wolf. "Well now I know that all I need to do is miss the first strike..." He paused.... "But then again... "Well that didn't take long at all." He commented as he lowered his stance. Waiting for the prairie wolf to come into range. A howl echoed, the wolf had meant some serious business. Grasping the Lawbreaker tightly, the spearman rolled to the right to evade the oncoming beast. As he planted his feet, the warrior stood, then lunged. Much like the other wolves, it had tried to stop all of its forward momentum and came to a pause. In that moment, the golden haired warrior commenced his, twin thrust. Aiming high and then low at the beast, he pierced its head then its legs. The monster staggered. "These new skills sure are useful." He commented as the wolf regained its composure.
