Kalesh 0 Posted September 17, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2015 We have a section explicitly for duels and the like, but everyone just duels outside of it. Just kinda curious as to why that is, since actual spontaneous fights I could understand but a lot of the time it's an arranged thing.
Opal 0 Posted September 17, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2015 I think the PvP area is more inclined to player/GM run tournaments and the like rather than simple PvP Duels between two people.
Sutiru 0 Posted September 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 17, 2015 I could see both, truth be told. It will be a while before I enter it thou... got to get the gear! *winks to Opal*
Kalesh 0 Posted September 17, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted September 17, 2015 Yeah, but it does specifically say "Duels are a safe way to fight one on one, where the victor does not become an orange player and the loser does not die, well most of the time." so it KINDA feels like it's for duels, like when Heathcliff and Kirito went at it. Takao 0 Posted September 17, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 17, 2015 Most people just duel in the other roleplay areas. To my knowledge it isn't exclusively used for events.
Jomei 0 Posted September 17, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 17, 2015 Zelrius and Ssendom used the PVP section to host a fighting season over the summer, as you can see by the few threads that read, for example, Week 8: Jomei vs. Lowenthal. A lot of them, it seems, got deleted for some reason or another.. I know in the past there have been similar fights and tournaments held there as well.. before my time. But could really be used either way.. If you want to duel in the normal forums thats fine.. but if you wanted it to seem more like an arena fight, you could place it in the PVP area.
