Before Akihiko made his summon, Darius was out in the grasslands around the Town of Beginnings to kill some boar to get their loot to be able to buy some better equipment. He had just left the gates and equipped his sword and buckler and checked to make sure he had his two health potions. After everything was all clear he set out to find some boar. He had mainly battle skills so tracking and finding a boar would be semi-difficult.

[1,4,]- Darius finds a boar within 15 minutes

[2,3,7,9]- Darius finds a boar within 45 minutes

[5,6,8,10]- Darius finds a boar within an hour and 30 minutes

As Darius predicted, it was rather difficult to find a boar in the large plains area. After around 45 minutes of aimless searching he finally spotted one as he crested a hill. He wasn't one for stealth so he went right into it. From the top of the hill he used: 'Howl'- Attracts the attention of NPC monsters and increases a player's Hate status effect.

He could feel the start of what was going to be a fight. Adrenaline started to pump through his veins and his body felt light and prepared for this battle. He jumped up and down a bit to limber up for the fight that would ensue.

[1,3,4,6,8,9]- The Boar is attracted by 'Howl' and comes charging up the hill at Darius.

[2,5,7]- The Boar is not affected by 'Howl' and stays where it is.

[10]- 'Howl' draws that boar and another that is bedded and hidden in a patch of tall grass.

After Darius used 'Howl', the boar simply turned towards him and didn't charge uphill to attack him. He had lost his uphill advantage in the fight. A sneer crept across his face and his eyes clouded over. For a moment an intense warmth surged through his body like liquid fire in his veins then a calm coolness took over as he went into a seclusive state, his body moving on its own. To him, it was like watching someone else move and act. He didn't feel like it was him, but someone else who was much more deadly and uncaring. Someone who had no mercy.

[1,2,5]- Darius charges down the hill towards the Boar, shouting an earsplitting warcry filled with rage.

[3,6,7,9]- Darius slowly walks down the hill, calm and collected while formulating a plan.

[4,8,10]- Darius waits for the cooldown on 'Howl' to end and tries using it again since he has the Boar's full attention now.

After a brief period of waiting for the cooldown of 'Howl' to reset, Darius uses it again. The tension of the stare down was getting very taut. The Boar looked like it was getting more and more aggravated by Darius' continuous presence as it snorted and pawed the ground, making 'Howl' more likely to succeed. He loosened his body so he wouldn't cramp before the fight by being tensed for too long. He stood there with his arms at his sides, making him look more vulnerable for attack, increasing the Boar's aggression and hate towards Darius.

[1,2,3,4,6,8,9]- The Boar is attracted by 'Howl' and comes charging up the hill at Darius.

[5,7]- The Boar is not affected by 'Howl' and stays where it is.

The Boar's aggression from the stand off and Darius' weak looking stance combined with a successful 'Howl' finally made it charge up the hill towards Darius. The incline made it slower than what it would normally be so it was at a large disadvantage. A smirk came across Darius' face. If everything went according to plan, he would win this quick.

He shot into his signature stance. His left arm was equipped with his buckler which was slanted at a vertical angle in front of his chest, his eyes peeking over the top of it. His right arm was equipped with a beginner's longsword and it was held above his shield, next to his head, the top of the fist that is gripping it aiming up towards the sky so it makes for optimal striking for every basic move other than an upward slash. He prepared a 'Horizontal Slash' so when the boar charged up at him he could evade and slash down the entire length of its side, getting maximum damage.

[1,2,6,9]- Darius succeeds in his evade and slashes the boar down its entire side, dealing a decisive blow.

[3,8,10]- Darius succeeds in his evade but only gets a shallow slash on the boar.

[4,7]- Darius succeeds in his evade but the Boar evades his slash.

[5]- Darius mistimes his evade and jumps out of the way in the nick of time, being put off balance and tumbling down the hill.

As the pig got closer it suddenly got a jolt of speed and shot towards Darius. He jumped to the side, narrowly avoiding being rammed by the Boar. In his haste, he got off balanced and rolled down the hill. He recovered as the boar was charging down the hill towards him, gaining extra speed from the downhill slope. Darius drops to one knee, bracing his buckler to try to take the charge.

[2,4,6,7,10]- Darius takes the charge, stopping the Boar in its track as it becomes open for a counterattack.

[1,3,8]- Darius takes the charge but it pushed back some, creating a stalemate between the two and no chance for a counter-attack.

[5,9]- Darius cannot take the charge and has his defence broken, being knocked back onto the ground and losing a Health Point.

As the stalemate occurs Darius gets angrier. His blind fury and rage building up higher and higher. His face contorts as he lets out another shout that is pure hatred. He unstraps the buckler from his arm and throws it like a Frisbee at the Boar, hoping to stun it for a follow up.

[1,3,4,7,10]- The Boar is hit with the buckler, losing a Health Point and being stunned for the follow up.

[2,5,8,9]- The Boar is hit with the buckler, losing a Health Point but not being stunned.

[6]- The Boar dodges the buckler and the buckler hits uselessly against the hill behind the Boar.

The Boar is struck by the buckler taking critical damage and is dazed by the blow to its head. Darius does a follow up attack, charging a 'Vertical Slash' while he grips it with both hands to add more power behind it. He charges to hit the Boar while it is dazed, giving off another war cry.

[1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9,10]- The Boar is struck by the 'Vertical Slash' and is killed.

[5]- It recovers in the nick of time, scrabbling backwards to avoid the attack.

Darius strikes the Boar with the 'Vertical Slash' to the top of the head, dealing the killing blow as it explodes into the virtual bits. He plants his sword into the dirt and takes large heaving breaths as he tries to calm down. The screen came up from killing the Boar, granting him some EXP and a small amount of gold. The loot counter was still spinning to see what he would get.

[1,2,4,6,7,9,11,14,17,18,20]- Nothing

[3,12,19]- Boar Meat

[5, 8,16]- Boar Tusk

[10,13,15]- Boar Hide

The loot counter would come up with nothing. Only slightly disappointed Darius would retrieve his gear and head back to town to spend the gold he got with the wee bit of starting gold he got to buy some armor from a vendor. He would avoid the other monsters he saw, drained by the simple fight against a single boar. Adrenaline and rage will do that to someone.
