[PP: F7] A Surprise Encounter! [Jevi]-Complete

Recommended Posts

Opal sighed giving a weak smile as she stood up, "You bet. As I was going to say to Hiei, if we worked in unison, there was no way that guy could have taken us down." The woman had declared placing a hand on her hips as she got up to an erect form. She was lying through her teeth though, there was no way they could smash through the behemoths mitigation stat with their weapons or mid rank sword arts, Volcano was still a class of his own and Sensui was well on par with the elites. Pushing long fingers through her raven hair Opal finished with a smile and sheathed her blade, and laughed abruptly at the earlier comment she made towards Hiei.

"Yes, he is an odd guy, isn't he? I thought he was going to kill me the first time I had met him. Back then he was a green player, but apparently he had gone orange...again. That look was quite questionable though, I didn't think someone of his stature could be seduced. I have to admit, you are a good looking woman." Opal said looking the other way and then clearing her throat. She scanned the area for anything interest...yet there was nothing in the slightest of interest.

"Well, that kind of disrupted our time out together. I have to admit though, I wish I had your ferocity, Jevi. I tend to hold back a bit due to some related issues with myself. I mean...I have seen what happens when I snap...In any case, you were good out there. I'm glad you had my back." Opal stretched out her hand towards Jevi offering her a smile with it.

"Mmm, I could use a shower after all of that. Think I was sweating a little bit there for a moment...that was a lot of them this time. Almost double from last, Sensui must be getting anxious..."

Jevi blinked and turned to Opal with a smirk and sharp brow, ~"Seduced? Hah. Yeah right." she crossed her arms, no way was that the case. If the man was not attracted in any way to Opal, there was no way in hell that ninja guy would look at her like that. Not that she cared anyway, she was happily.. well, taken. ~"I'd think it was a look of him wanting to kill me rather than that. With that orange cursor and all." It was not often Jevi encountered a player killer, the last one she had met seemed like he would not even kill a fly, let alone another human being. The girl slipped her Scorpion Slicer back into the band around her waist.

~"Yeah, I guess it did. I was enjoying some down time for once.. Getting out of that oven I call a shop and not out hunting. It was nice though." she smiled at Opal sincerely. The dark haired girl then commented on Jevi's ferocious attitude in combat. It was not something ever commented on before, and also something she was not very proud of. She rubbed her arm sheepishly, ~"I.. guess it did help out there.. huh.." she looked away from her friend. ~"Trust me, you don't want to be like me. With how careless I can get sometimes, I would not be surprised if I ended up like that ninja guy." she chuckled, trying to make a joke.. but realized it clearly was not funny. ~".. sorry."

Jevi took a deep breath when the girl mentioned how many of these Sensui guys there were.. It was one thing to take on a bunch of mobs at once, but other players? They were unpredictable and could be on a much higher level than expected. ~"Yeah. I know what you mean." A shower did sound nice, but she did not have one in her shop. Hell she didn't even have a bed. Maybe she would just find a hidden lake somewhere that she could use to bathe in, away from any other players.

Opal's shoulder shrugged, "Hiei is mostly a mystery to me. I didn't even think he enjoyed the company of females. But I understand and know very little of him as I mentioned, none the less I am glad he appeared when he did." Opal sighed at that thought, Hiei was still probably fifteen levels higher than herself to be able to man handle and or even scare and intimidate Volcano like that. When she had power like that, would she also turn into a Hiei like persona? It was then that Jevi made a small jabbing joke about turning into him, just on cue as Opal was thinking along the same lines.

"Ahh, Hiei...yeah, he has a complicated honor system from what Master Myoga has told me. I don't think he kills blindly, I would call him a Player Killer Killer. An odd form of justice if you ask me. I suppose though...in a way I can see it to be logical." Opal offered her opinion giving no heed to the joke itself, but merely explaining what she thought was running through the man's head, as far as her combat prowess were concerned for, "I still think I lack the animosity in my driven attacks. I've been working on a few potions here and there that will stimulate that part of the mind, to become more raw and unemotional. Killer like instincts without the killing part? I dunno...sounds crazy but...there are potions like that..." Opal tried to keep it vague as possible, her having a copy of advanced forbidden alchemy contents was probably taboo for some people.

Eyes set upon the orange horizon of floor seven, the City of Nimbus, "Oh my...that's quite a beautiful sight, ya know? I never know if I enjoy the sunrise or the sun setting on this floor. It always seems magical and enchanting to me...A bit romantic too with the right person, yeah?" Opal gave a soft laugh, her eyes continued to watch the sun sinking into the earth. A warm smile was brought to her lips, it felt peaceful, but she knew in the coming days something bad was going to happen. She just wanted to enjoy the moment, enjoy that feeling before things had got to that point.

Jevi slowly nodded in understanding about what Opal spoke about with Hiei. So he was not a mindless killer, but had morals to his work. She figured that was a little bit better at least, especially since she did not really have much to worry about with him then. Opal went on to comment again on Jevi's tactics during battle and how she does not have the viciousness Jevi apparently had. Still, she felt having such a trait was more of a curse that a blessing, but it has kept her alive thus far. That was enough for now. ~"Potions to do so huh? I guess I could see that.. almost like a drug that would cause one to go berserk." she crossed her arms across her chest, looking off into the distance.

~"Yeah. It really is." she agreed, taking in the warmth of the orange sun, mentioning the sight could be nice with a certain someone. Jevi could not help but feel slightly saddened by this, knowing the girl she cared about had been distant lately. Even Grave.. someone whom she had come to slightly care about as well, seemed to be avoiding her. She let out a heavy sigh

Opal had been caught up by the eerie glow of the sunset over the horizon, but the softened sigh broke her small trance as she looked over to the female beside her. "Hrm? Was that a sigh of relief for something, or a heavy sigh of discomfort?" Opal would not dig through people's personal feelings if it came down to that, but after what they had just gone through, perhaps the woman needed some reassuring that things would be ok. Alas, that is what Opal had thought as such from her sighing partner.

"I know I kinda dragged you into the middle of something, but I assure you they won't hunt down random players just to get to me. Well, at least I don't think. You gave them quite the ass whooping though, so I am sure they'll think twice before taking you on again. So, try not to worry about that, alright? And if anyone tries to harass you or anything, you give me a call, I'll come running from wherever I am."

Offering a curved smile, Opal hoped her comforting words put the purple haired woman to ease with her thoughts. Distress could be an ugly thing, and Opal had her fair share of that to last her a lifetime with just the two months of training she had endured. Even then it was still difficult now, even casual conversation was no longer as innocent as it seemed back in the day for her. Shaking her head slowly, Opal looked back to Jevi, "It's getting kinda late. Would you want me to walk you back home? I honestly don't mind..."

Jevi's head slowly turned to look at Opal, ~"O-Oh its nothing. Just, what you said about seeing this sight with the right person had me thinking is all." she rubbed her arm and her eyes looked away towards the ground. ~"Just.. the person I care about has been.. distant?" she questioned her choice of word, ~"So I don't know what to think.. or how to feel."  Jevi looked back to Opal and blinked, ~"I-I'm sorry. I don't mean to talk about those things like that. Shouldn't bother you with it and all." she scoffed lightly.

The girl nodded when Opal told her she should have nothing to worry about with those guys they fought. They would most likely not go after Jevi, since Opal was their real target. ~"Yeah.. just stay safe." Jevi looked at her with a concerned look, ~"I know you're strong and all. But I don't want those guys to get the better of you. So don't fret to give me a heads up as well."

The sun continued to set, and the orange glow began to fade and darkness took its place. Opal offered to walk Jevi back to her house, which would be down on Floor Five. The girl shook her head, ~"Nah, I should be okay. I'm sure you need to get back to your master and all, especially after what happened today. Thank you though. Its been awhile since I've gotten out of my shop and hung out with someone." She gave the girl a sincere smile.

Opal's honey eyes burned into the horizon as the orange glow had faded into a purple evening and slowly filling with an abundance of stars. She wordlessly attempted to comfort Jevi and her current situation, "Distant, huh? I feel the same way, I suppose. Before I left for my training, I was seeing someone. But now...I am not sure if its me or the other person who has grown distant. If it's myself...then its for good reason. As for the person you care about, perhaps give them some time? Hopefully they'll come around and what to be discovered again, or you can try sending them a message. You said you spend a lot of time at your shop, try getting together with your friend and go from there? If this person continues to draw their distance from you..." Opal wondered what would be the best course of action, "Pester them until they notice you again." She said nodding in her direction, smile etched on her lips.

"I myself am unsure if a relationship would be a good idea. I have been through so much, perhaps being single is the way to go right now. Despite the time training, and I am still attempting to reach and discover who I am. Before I can put myself out there for other people, I need to know who I am first, ya know?" Maybe it didn't make a lot of sense, but Opal figured it was a good starting place for herself at least. Had she seen Lawfer now, she couldn't look him in the eye, or any man for that matter and if they knew the atrocity of her soul, would they ever look at her the same way as before? Sighing and flicking black from off her shoulder, the woman gestured Jevi back towards Nimbus.

"We should start heading back, and we are out of a safe zone. This floor can get populated with some insane monsters really quick if we don't watch our backs right now. Unless you have somewhere else to go, would you like to stay with Master Myoga and myself for the night? I honestly would feel better if you didn't walk back to your place in the evening, despite being in a safe zone...there are other ways to get green players out of the net."

Jevi looked up and nodded her head at Opal, who's words of encouragement actually helped her feel a bit better. There was nothing she could do about the situation, she had tried to get in contact with them. It was time she realized she did her part, it was time for them to do theirs. ~Yeah. You're right. Thanks." she smirked at her, as darkness took over the land in place of the bright orange light from the sun. Opal went on to mention her own situations, and how she felt maybe in her situation at the moment, it would be smarter for her to stay single and away from relationships. Jevi raised a sharp eyebrow with a smirk, ~"I'm sure for a pretty girl like you, you have guys coming at you from every angle." Then the girl began to ponder on what Opal said, about finding herself first.  ~"Find yourself first huh... Guess you have a point there." She looked at the woman, placing her hand on her chin in thought. ~"You know, I didn't know you that well when you first came to my shop but.. I can tell that you're a lot different from who you were then. Just the way you present yourself. I'm not saying its a bad thing, not at all. Maybe its a sign you're getting close to finding yourself after all." Jevi gave a reassuring smile. Opal then gestured that the two get back into the safety of the town, but then redirected that she come stay with her and her master for the night. Jevi blinked with wide eyes. ~"Are you sure? I mean.. would your master be okay with that?" she then chuckled and placed her hands behind your head, ~"Sounds like fun though, as long as I get to learn how to kick ass like you do." she gave the girl a wink, before walking with her back in the direction of the safe zone.

"Men lining up at every angle...? I'm not one for being touched...anymore." It was may have been a rhetorical question by her purple haired friend, but she was compelled to make a statement on the matter absentmindedly. Opal tugged her body with her arms wrapped over her and gave a quick glance backwards at the sky before gesturing for her to be followed, "I have changed quite a bit yes? I remember those days fondly, and now...Well events in my life had caused me to make several decisions in life. As for finding myself...Well, I am still soul searching...If I even have a soul anymore..." Opal continued to hug her body with both arms as they continued their walk away from the event that had transpired and Opal gave a nod about staying with her in the mountains for the evening.

"Well, Master Myoga will understand after knowing the details of the evening. Although, I don't think he'll be fond of the idea on taking up another apprentice...I seem to be rather large handful for him at the moment." Opal pressed a hand to her mouth and laughed a bit, she remembered how airy she was towards the Master at the very start of training and how quickly she was broken of those childish mannerism within a week's time.

Entering the city, the two continued their chit chat up the spiral steps of a rather large ominous mountain path that was clear of any mobs in the area. Opal pointed out to Jevi the numerous spots of where she had to go during the process of the finding the Temple on her own, "And that over there...I had to make a running leap of faith from one cliff to the other in order to get to the next area. These steps weren't here before, this is the quick way to the Temple. I spent several hours hiking, and climbing this mountain path just to reach the temple. Not to mention a very odd riddle which finally unlocked the steps towards the heavens. It was quite the training experience. But it is one I would do again at the drop of a hat." Opal said, the two females seemed to be having their own adventure at this very moment with all the mind numbing steps they had to climb.

"We are...almost there..." Opal said with shallow breath finally pointing to the zenith.

Jevi's eyes dropped when she did not get the reaction she expected from her jest toward's Opal, ~"I'm.. sorry.. I didn't know it was a touchy subject.." Something really must have happened to her to make her like this. She did not want to delve into it, prying her friend for information.. but she just wish there was something she could do to help. The girl hugged her own body as she spoke, the two continuing their walk back into town. Jevi gently placed her hand on Opal's shoulder and looked over into her eyes, without any words. She wanted her to see that, despite their friendship only beginning, she wanted to be there for her if she needed it.. just as Opal offered to Jevi before.

Jevi laughed, ~"I figured. I was only kidding, I don't think I could isolate myself up on a mountain. I'll just bug you to teach me stuff when you get finished." Jevi giggled again. Jevi paid close attention to the path Opal lead her towards the temple where she stayed for her training. Just the walk itself seemed like a vigorous task. Opal went on to talk about what she needed to go through her first time getting into the place, which left Jevi speechless and almost tired herself out just from thinking about it. ~"Jeez... Really must be learning a lot of life changing things up here then.."

"Mmm, going from a bratty bitch to an assassin...You can possibly say a lot of life changes have happened for me." Finally on the last step, they had reached the top of the mountain and for anyone to have never seen a place, or even to know it would exist way on top of a mountain would acknowledge the beauty that lied within. To the far left of the plot of land was a dojo specific for training, the north was an old Temple and directly to east was the japanese styled home to which Master Myoga and Opal stayed at. Taking not but a single step forward, an old and commanding voice rang into the darkness of the air, "Opal-san! You are late!" With a nervous smile, Opal raised a tender hand over her head and scratched lightly at the surface, "Yes Master Myoga, I'm sorry. But we got held up..."

"We?" the old teacher asked, now coming out of the darkness. His form bent over with a slight hunch, old wrinkles lined his face to show the wisdom of his years in his emerald eyes. A stark white beard flowing off his chin as he examined the woman with the purple hair. Fast like lightning, he appeared before her giving an odd sort of look as to examine her, "Why is she here?" he asked stroking his chin, keeping an eye on her as Opal explained the situation.

"So that is the case..."the old man sighed and shook his head, "First thing tomorrow..." he said sharply at her, "...after breakfast that is, you are to leave. You may rest here for the night. Super is being prepared. Opal-san, why don't you show..." he looked to Opal for a name of the person, "Her name is Jevi..."

"Jevi...Yes. Show Jevi to her room to where she will be staying the night." Opal nodded and then rose a finger, "The room across from me will be alright?" The old man shook his head, "I'll be in the dining area."

With that the old man started to slowly walk away, Opal gave a satisfied smile towards her friend and gestured, "If you'll follow me...I'll show you where you will be sleeping for the night. And of course, you'll be eating with us as well...Master Myoga is particular on how you show up to meals...I'll just let you borrow one of my kimonos..." As Opal and Jevi went towards the house, she opened the sliding door and the smell of cooking food aromatized the air. Opal had to admit she was pretty hungry and those smells were quite stimulating. Heading towards a small hallway, Opal stopped in the center sliding the door open.

"This is where you will stay and I'll be right across from you. Bathroom is the last door on the right. Last door on the left is Master Myoga's room. We both need to wash up before super...As I said, he is particular about that sort of thing. Sorry about all the formalities...I kinda got used to it already..." Opal opened the door to her room and sifted through a chest of clothing she had procured from her adventures so far and produced a purple and orange kimono that she thought would suit Jevi.

"Not sure if it's your colors...but I think it will do for the evening at least. If you wanna wash up..." she gestured down the hall once more, "I'll be waiting in my room, just give me a knock when you are done."

Jevi reached the top of the mountain with Opal and gazed at the sight in awe. It looked like something straight out of a movie... and that was saying a lot for someone who was stuck in a fantasy video game. It was truly an incredible sight, and she wanted to marvel in its wonders for a little bit longer, but the sharp, stern voice of an older man called out from the shadows. Jevi immediately felt her body tense up, she did not belong here, Opal's training was supposed to be secluded, yet here she was.. standing in the place that was supposed to be hidden.

In a flash, the man emerged from the shadows and was now observing Jevi from close up. Jevi could tell the man had many years to him, yet his movement were like a cheetah in its prime. Jevi felt her body stiffen, and sweat accumulate on her forehead. Before Jevi could speak and explain her situation, Opal took the reigns and told the story of why she was here. Lucky for her, Opal's master was understanding of the situation, and allowed Jevi to stay for the night as long as she were to leave in the morning. Jevi bowed, ~"Thank you, sir." As the man walked away, Jevi let out a sigh of relief and her body slouched over. Opal then led the girl through the temple to where she would be staying for the night.

After being shown her room, Opal led her across the hall to her own living quarters, where she removed an extra set of robes from a chest. Jevi blinked as she looked over the clothes, they were elegant, and nothing like she had ever worn before. ~"No no the color is fine. They should be fine. Thank you." she looked up and smiled at Opal, folding the robes in her arms. She then made her way out of the room and down the hall to where the washroom was located. The woman stepped into the room and unequipped her clothes so she was merely in her underwear, being she had never deactivated the ethics code. She washed her body and her hair, it was a much better feeling that the simple washing she would give herself in a river or small tub. After washing her body clean and drying herself, she put her hair up into more of a bun than a ponytail, but could not help with hair still falling from the top of her head. She then equipped the kimono and looked at herself in the mirror, she had never looked so presentable in her life. She adjusted the robes and walked out of the washroom and to Opal's room, gently knocking on the door.

OOC: Sorry for the late reply, Jevi. I had to prioritize some posts before I got to this since I didnt have much internet access. -Is all working now-

The rapping of the thin board like door came from her guest, Jevi. Opal had been lounging in her room and just staring at the ceiling resting her weary bones. She was happy to know it was her turn next in the washroom. Getting up from the small bed, the raven haired woman set out to slide her door open only to be blushing at the elegant beauty before her. Opal withdrew a gasp from her lips and her brightly colored amber eyes from drooping over her figure, "Wow, you look really cute in that kimono. The colors compliment you entirely. Thank you for letting me know you are through. If you follow this hallway and take the first right, you'll come up to the dining area. Master Myoga should be there waiting on the two of us, just let him know I'll be washing up real quick. If you'd like to go out and explore the outside a bit, there is a wonderful small garden outside my bedroom and a coy pond. It's pretty scenic up here. Anywho...Gonna go wash up."

The hallway was small giving Opal only enough room to brush past the woman next to her as she moved to the washroom. Opening up a more solid door, the woman walked inside and immediately felt at ease from the remnants of steam that seemed to continue to collect within the room. A few buttons here and there and she was naked once more, her body shifting into the warm waters in the luxury tub as her tired muscles slowly started to fade away. Eyes started to relax as she blinked away the tired nature of her mind and body. Her hard training did not stop the softness of her hands as she roamed across her silken legs as she poured water over it. Breathing in deeply she exhaled ever so slow to enjoy the peace she was having. It would not take her to long for her to wash up, although if she could, she would spend an hour in there just relaxing.

The purple haired girl smiled softly and her yellow eyes drifted towards the ground with slightly pink cheeks, when Opal complimented her on how she looked. She twiddled with her fingers, ~"O-Oh. Thank you." Opal then told Jevi the path she would need to take so that she could find herself in the dining hall. Jevi figured she might as well do that to avoid getting lost, but she mentioned that her Master would most likely be in the room waiting for them. She did not want to admit it, but she was highly intimidated by the old man.. especially being she was not technically supposed to be here in this place of isolation. She was then told that she could explore if she wanted to, and that there was a small garden with a pond just outside of Opal's room. Jevi nodded her head, ~"I think I will check out that pond.. I'll wait for you before heading into the dining hall."

Opal then brushed past Jevi as she head down the hallway towards the washroom where Jevi had come from, leaving Jevi alone in this place. She almost felt like she was in a china shop, needed to be very weary about her steps as if to not break anything or go into any places that may be off limits. It would be best for her to just head to that garden Opal was talking about. Looking back into the room, she noticed another sliding door on the opposite side of the room. Upon entering the room and opening it, Jevi walked out onto the small wooden porch that lined the small garden. It was truly a serene scene, the various plants and other decorations lining the area around the small coy pond. Jevi stepped down into the garden and found a bench to sit down on. Looking up at the sky, she let out a relaxed sigh, closing her eyes.

OOC: >.< Crap, sorry, Jevi. Next time give me a swift kick in the ass and tell me to make a post. ;_;

"Beautiful, huh? You have only seen the little pieces of this garden, in the back Master Myoga had an entire japanese garden not to mention a quaint little zen garden in the back too. I'll have to show you another time though," Opal had finished bathing herself, she was dressed in a more woodland colored kimono of green, white and brown. Amber eyes sought out the sky above them as she placed her arms over her chest, "Are you as hungry as I am? Kicking ass can give you quite the appetite. Come on, let's get some food and sake in our bellies."  Opal gestured for Jevi to follow her, smiling and making small chit chat back to the dining area where Master Myoga was sitting patiently on the floor amongst a large table filled with an assortment of japanese cuisines.

As Opal sat down to the right, she gestured for Jevi to take the seat to her immediate left right next to her as her senses filled and stimulated her hunger further from the delicious smells wafting over to her. "Sorry we are late, Master Myoga. I didn't plan on taking such a long bath."

"Hai, hai. You two must be famished by now, please enjoy yourselves."

"Itadakimasu!" Opal exclaimed picking up her chopsticks after nodding her head with a clasped hand. Master Myoga shook his bald head as he looked to Opal and her friend running a hand over the thin wire brush like mustache of his and then sipping his tea and then going back to reading his book. Opal smiled over to Jevi trying to explain what all the foods were just in case she wasn't too sure what they were, "Took me some time to figure out what everything was..."

"It's all edible, Opal-san..." Master Myoga said after she explained to Jevi what the foods were, "Edible, indeed, Sensei...except for the plates and the tea cups." she said with a quip, once more shaking his head and going back to his book, "We normally don't have visitors and we bicker sometimes at the dinner table...otherwise this is pretty normal for us," Opal explained digging through her food, "You bicker to yourself over training day in and day out, I sit here and drink my tea and nod my head at you. I don't feed your complaining, Opal-san."

"So...harsh...Sensei...Anyways, Jevi. How are you enjoying the place so far? I wish I could show you more...but I'll have to do that another time...I have an old goat for a teacher here."

The man coughed and continued on drinking his tea and reading his book, not giving into Opal provoking him.

  • 2 weeks later...

Jevi turned around to see Opal, who was now wearing her own kimono. Jevi found her friend to be beautiful beforehand, but seeing her in that outfit caused even her cheeks to flush a light pink. She quickly turned back to the garden, ~"Yeah. It really is." According to Opal's words, there was more to this garden than Jevi saw at the moment. Her master even had his own little Zen garden. She felt pretty peaceful in this place, even after the struggles they went through today. She could only dream of the serenity of being in the Zen garden. However, that tour would have to wait for another time, for they were to meet her master in the dining area for dinner. Jevi placed her hand on her stomach and her lips curved into a smirk, ~"Yeah, I'm starving."

Upon walking into the room where the food waited for them, Jevi's yellow eyes widened for a moment as her eyes looked upon the huge arrangement of food stretched across the long table. She almost did not notice Opal making her approach to the table, and Jevi hurried to catch up to her. Jevi bowed her head slightly at the sight of her master, after Opal apologized for being late to dinner. ~"I-I am sorry sir. Opal was also showing me the beautiful garden outside of your temple, so its my fault as well." She still felt intimidated by the old man who was now sitting sipping tea, but she could not help but have complete respect for the man and this place. She almost felt as if she was in the presence of a powerful noble. She sat next to Opal at the table and got a better look at all of the food on the table, trying to keep her watering mouth from opening.

She took hold of the chopsticks in her hand and looked around for what to grab first. Her eyes shot to Opal who said something in Japanese. She thought she had heard the word before, either when sitting in a cafe in SAO or maybe from an old anime or something she had watched. Jevi's yellow eyes moved to her master, who still seemed into his book. Jevi put her hands together and mumbled the word to the best of her abilities, not knowing Japanese. ~"Er.. Itadaki..masu." She then looked back to Opal for approval. She then dug into the food, eating whatever looked good to her as Opal explained what some of the things on the table were. She listened to the two bicker back and forth, causing Jevi to giggle from time to time. Opal then asked Jevi what she thought of the place, ~"It's really incredible. I didn't think any places like this existed in Aincrad." she turned to her master, ~"And thank you, sir, for having me in your home."

The old man continued to sip on his tea and reading his book only to look up at Jevi with a wrinkly smile and gave her a nod while placing his book down and then back up at the two women, "Every body forgets that sometimes this world is more than just one thing acting on another. Everyone is consumed with moving forward looking at tomorrow but forgetting today. My garden's do not change like time does, they will always be the same. A reminder that you must enjoy what is in front of you to appreciate the future that will soon happen."

"Yes, but if you only look at today, tomorrow can slip away, Master. You forget that we are stuck in a game where every minute outside these walls can lead to life or death by a strong mob. So it is better to plan for tomorrow and let today slip by as it done and over with." Opal had said placing her chopsticks down and looking at Master Myoga with a rather serious look about her.

The old man nodded, "The mind of the youth," he said pointer at her, "Is a delicate thing like a flower. It must be nurtured today to blossom into the eventual flower of tomorrow. So today is important to live and set free your petals when the time is right." The old man stood up with a slight hunch bowing to both of them, "I'll be going to bed now. You two have a good evening." Opal kept her eyes trained on him until he had left the room and she gave a low sigh and nudged Jevi's elbow, "Intense. His philosophy is usually right though. We spend so much time looking at tomorrow that we forget who we are today. But that's neither here nor there. How was dinner? I hope you enjoyed it enough to have a full belly at least before the strains of tomorrow." Opal stood up and stretched her arms out and gave a small yawn.

"I'm gonna relax outside for a bit if you wanna join me. I usually have a small smoke break before going to bed. Reflect on today so I can be a better person tomorrow, as Master Myoga would say."

The purple haired girl sat there, listening to the philosophical conversation going on across the table between Opal and Mr. Myoga. She nodded in agreement to what he said about living for the day, but also agreed with being ready for tomorrow. Despite believing in the words of both people in her presence, she decided to not delve too deeply into their conversation and to keep to herself. She picked at another couple of morsels off of various plates on the table and placed them on her own, finding all of the food completely delicious and unlike anything she had ever eaten before. After their conversation, her master retreated to his quarters for the night, bidding the two a good night. Jevi respectfully bowed her head at the man from her seat after finishing the last bite of food on her plate. She felt a nudge at the side of her arm from Opal, ~"Yeah, that was a pretty intense debate there." she chuckled, ~"I could barely even keep up with it." She turned her upper body to Opal, ~"Dinner was amazing. I don't think I've ever eaten food like that before in my life. Thank you" she said with a soft smile and a very sincere voice. She nodded her head, shifting her sitting position so it would be easier for her to stand up when Opal did. ~"Sure. I don't think I'm just ready for bed yet anyway."

Opal smiled at her friend, Jevi and nodded as they both stood up. The female pressed her hands to her kimono and straightened it out and gestured for the woman to follow her to her bedroom. As Opal was making her way towards the door of her room, she slid it open and casually swept her hand across her menu, "If you have an extra set of pajamas to wear, you might wanna wear those instead of that kimono. It can get a little hot in those clothes, and I only wear this for the evening attire for meals. I need to look proper in the presence of His Grace," the woman chuckled lightly finishing up the sequence of events that would shower her in a small light before her buxom body was adorned in sleek white lace pajama pants and a midriff showing tank top. Moving towards the end of the room, she slid another door open to expanse of the open world on a cool night. Stars glittering above their heads as Opal sat down on the stairs that lead down to the Garden just a few feet away from them.

"It is a remarkable night, isn't it?" the woman had materialized an orange stick in her hand, the nicotine addiction of the real world had followed her through anf through to this world and thanks to some crafty work as an alchemist and a tip from a friend, she was able to create this little cigarette sticks without the unwanted desire to smell burning ash, instead it gave off the sweet scent of citrus along with a pleasant orange taste. Inhaling deeply from the calming stick, the woman blew an intoxicating cloud of orange into the air filling with that citrus like scent before her eyes gazed upwards at the sky.

"I had wanted to quit smoking so many times in my life, but the more my profession got to me, the more stressed I had become. To be truthful, I took the habit to get a guy to notice me back in highschool..that was ages ago. Back in the day, you weren't cool unless you smoked with the older kids. Oh how horrible is that peer pressure. Seven years later...Still at with the habit and the desire to find stronger products is never ending. But I don't have to worry much about the health issues here with this thing like back in the real world, also eating as much fatty foods as I want without letting my figure go, right?" the woman drew in her body, shaping her bosom with her hands to accent her figure from the gesture.

Opal flicked pale orange ashes from the tip of her burning cig before bring it back to her mouth and taking in a long hit from the stick, her eyes rolled back as she blew outwards into the air, "It was good running into you today. The small adventure we had with those goons, the nice meal, and a beautiful night to top it all off. Sucks I gotta get back to my training tomorrow...My body is not gonna be ready for that at all. Bright and early though. Did you enjoy your stay so far? I know it gets quiet up here, but I think that's one of its perks."

Jevi followed Opal through the hallways of the temple until they were back at the familiar door that housed her room. She told Jevi as she opened the door that she should change into any sleeping attire that she may have, for sleeping in the kimonos could get quite hot and uncomfortable. ~"Good point." the purple haired girl said, bringing her hand up to open her inventory. As she entered the room, the girl's kimono disappeared into a flash of light. As the light faded, Jevi was left wearing black tights that cut off half way down her calves, and a tight black, sleeveless shirt that partially showed her stomach and hid part of her neck. She let out a sigh of relief, bringing her hands up to her head where her hair was all dolled up. After fiddling for a moment with the various pins and clips she used to keep it upright, she let the long purple locks fall down, reaching all the way down to just above her rear. She ran her hands through her hair a couple of times to straighten out stray strands.

Moving to the other side of the room and out the door to the garden, Jevi sat next to Opal under the cool night sky. ~"Yeah, it really is." Jevi inhaled through her nostrils a couple of times when she smelt something fruity, and turning to Opal revealed that it was, in fact, a cigarette the girl was smoking. Jevi looked at it curiously, ~"Thats pretty interesting.. Do you mind if I..?" The girl pointed towards the cigarette, wondering if Opal would be okay with her trying it out. ~"I've smoked a couple of times when things got a little rough for me.. but I never had the money to go out and buy them all the time so I just never bothered sticking with it. I guess I was lucky that I never got addicted huh?." she giggled lightly ~"I'm really happy we ran into each other too. I probably would have just spent the day wandering alone if I didnt... and.. I was really in need of a friend.. something I don't seem to have many of nowadays. Guess I only have my nasty attitude to blame for that.." She turned her head to Opal, with some sadness in her eyes, but also a slight smile. ~"Thank you Opal. You know.. for being my friend and everything." she felt a light blush on her cheeks as she fiddled her pointer fingers.
