About: History/personality
Ryan grew up in a middle class suburb with his younger sister, Rayde. His father was a paramedic and his mother was a nurse. Ryan’s parents always inspired him to do the best he can to help someone in need despite the fact that they always came home exhausted. In school, Ryan was a loner. He didn’t really fit into the different cliques which was perfectly fine with him. Ryan made a few friends defending students from bullies in middle and high school, most times he would only need to talk them down, but there were instances that actual fights broke out. When Ryan turned eighteen and finished in the top half of his class, he enlisted into the German armed forces. He wanted to go into the tank divisions, but Ryan was assigned to become a Cavalry Scout instead, the eyes and ears of the commander on the field. When he could make contact with the locals of a foreign nation, Ryan continued to help those in need, in some cases even giving most of his field provisions to starving children and their families. After two tours of duty and achieving the rank of Sergeant, he was given the option to transfer to the tanks and immediately took the opportunity. Ryan currently serves as second in command under a highly skilled tank commander.
Virtues:
Kind: Ryan is genuinely a good person, he could never fathom harming someone out of spite or malice. He will gladly help another player in need, even if it could lead to his demise. This ideology stems from his parents. Both fight incredibly hard to save someone's life and Ryan picked up on that at an early age. He takes it personally when someone has an issue with him and will do everything he can to make peace, or at the very least, get on better terms.

Proud: Ryan is satisfied with who he is as a person. He stands up for what he believes in and refuses to back down from a challenge. This confidence in himself was earned through his enlistment into the armed forces. Basic training broke Ryan down and rebuilt him into a capable machine. Advanced Individual Training taught him the skills he needed to survive in battle and reinforced his confidence. Ryan's years of service and the proudest moment of his life, achieving the rank of Sergeant, shaped him into a proud man.

Brave: Bravery is moving forward, even when you're terrified at you very core. Ryan has this trait. During basic training, he was instructed to jump from an elevated position into a pool with all of his gear. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue, except Ryan can't swim. Despite this, he did not hesitate and plunged into the icy waters. Ryan sank to the bottom and patiently waited for someone to drag him out of the pool. It was the longest few seconds of his life trying not to panic.

Flaws:
Soft-hearted: Ryan will help another player in need, but sometimes he will go overboard on his generosity, likely bankrupting himself, putting himself in grave danger, and even being used. It's hard for Ryan to see the error in his, he feels as though it's his duty to help others when they request it from him. This flaw also comes from his parents, they were always working and could never really teach him to be kind, but to not be walked all over as well. Perhaps Sword Art Online will teach him.

Shy: Ryan has a difficult time approaching others and speaking up in parties. He feels much more comfortable with a corner to his back, rather than in the center of the room. Growing up, Ryan was always kind of an outcast, he really didn't fit in with any of the social groups, nor did he care to try and fit in. Military life has earned him a few friends, but it took quite a bit of work to break into Ryan's shell. It will be difficult for Ryan in this world as well.

Perfectionist: Military life is all about perfection. Your uniform, your bunk, and your drilling skills. Ryan will certainly have a difficult time dealing with the fact that not everything is in his power. He distinctly remembers the first time he wore his uniform slightly wrong. Simple mistake, really. His boot laces were just barely visible and the Drill Sergeant made it a point to make his life miserable for the rest of his time in basic training.
