Teayre 0 Posted October 20, 2015 Author #21 Share Posted October 20, 2015 Flashing Greg a small smile she notices her eyes darting around, flicking her menu down a flash of light sparkled around her as she changed out of her usual attire. No weapon adorned her as a red corset and skirt materialised on her sat over a pleated black underclothing. A high black collar which went down to her shoulders appeared followed by some long sleeve gloves that started just below the elbow again they were black. High heel shoes that matched the underlying garments in colour also appeared over some black tights. “Before you get ideas blondie, what about your name? Also you mr dancing.” Her smile widened into a grin as she turned her head back to Ssendom. Letting out a small giggle Teayre nodded at him, “Yeah it’s the first time I’ve seen you in something not so… Cute?” Poking her tongue out the red head listened to him as she adjusted her bandana whilst using the pool of water next to her. “Sounds good Dom, How many people do we have here… One, two three, four, five and six. If we include ourselves that’s eight.” Sitting back down on the ledge her fingers drum against the slabs of stone.“Well it’s up to you guys, what would you like to do? I’m guessing jumpy here doesn’t want to spend it in a ‘dank’ cave but forgets that you can get shiny stuffs from inside said ‘dank’ caves and when I’ve been to this cave before it is actually quite nice inside.” Looking over at Lee she smiles. “So your name is Sir Shinylee?” Pausing for a little while she giggles again, “I’m sorry Lee I couldn’t help it, If everyone’s up for the dungeon I’m sure we could each split up and look after several people individually. It’s less likely for more mobs to come after us then. Even so on the second floor if Dom or I couldn’t handle it we’d be pretty bad guardians.” Casting her eyes around Teayre met the gaze of each member in the group. “If you’re okay with that idea Dom shall we let the people here decide who they’d like to go with?” She said as her gazed settled back onto the Dreadnaught. Koumori 0 Posted October 20, 2015 #22 Share Posted October 20, 2015 I listened as the girl addresses the crowd, periodically looking around at all the others. She had changed into more casual clothing after some gesting and I laughed to myself at how my combat gear and regular attire was exactly the same. Literally, no changes. That didn't bother me though. It made it much easier. It seemed like going to the cave to loot was seriously being considered as the girl quickly agreed with the guy named Dom. My attention snapped back to her when she referred to me as jumpy and tried to convince me it would be a good idea to come. It seemed like she had a tendency to give people nicknames based of the first thing she noticed about them. I felt sorry for "Sir Shinylee". That being the case, I thought it would be good to introduce myself before "jumpy" stuck. That's by far the most awkward nickname I had received. "I'll introduce myself before people start looking at me with suspicion." I brought myself into a bow and continued. "I'm Koumori, not jumpy. Although to be fair I usually end up with a dumb name before I decide to speak up." I stood back up and looked straight at the girl, who was now fiddling around in her seat. "I'm kinda bored so I guess I can tag along. Not the best setting but I'll tough it out. And if you don't mind I'll go with you, you seem like the fun one" I added with a smile. Noticing my blunder I turned back to the crowd and raised my hands in shy defense, "No offense guys." I didn't plan on doing much besides tag along but I didn't just want to collect rewards without doing anything..maybe I'd get back in action. But one thing I wanted to do afterwards was head to a restaurant. That had sort of become a tradition for me. At least that's how things ended up every time I landed in a group. I hopped to the bench to take a seat next to the other two players and put on a happy face. "But I say if we make I killing we should all go to a restaurant. You know celebrate our victory! It'll be my treat!" I didn't know why I was being the loud and happy one. That was usually unlike me. Maybe it was because that aspect of interaction has been missing for awhile. I hoped that they all weren't silently compiling a list of all the reasons they hated me in their heads, that's not what I was aiming to do. I had all I could handle with Mack in the "people who hate me column". Maybe they would play along like I wanted. I had found out many times the best break from this nightmare is laughter. Ssendom 0 Posted October 20, 2015 #23 Share Posted October 20, 2015 Ssendom listened to Teayre and was about to agree to the idea, but before he was about to talk the man who addressed himself as Koumori spoke before him claiming that the red head was more fun. Ssendom chuckled, "It depends on your definition of fun, I find getting into life or death situations personally as very entertaining. But others tend to disagree." He stated with a grin, he turned his attention towards Teayre as he sifted through his inventory changing his quick-equip settings to his battle ready attire. His entire body glowed in light blue light, after the light dissipated he was adorned head to toe in very heavy looking ebony armor. The shoulder pads were very different from the rest of his intimidating set of armor, they were dragon heads made of stained glass that faced away from his Helmet where all that could be seen of him was his intimidating red eyes. Draped from his back was his Two-Handed Greatsword where it barely hung over the ground and the hilt of the blade reached to the tip of his head, "I'll watch over a group as I agree to your idea Teayre. Let the ones wanting to work their way to the front lines choose whom is their caretaker." He exclaimed as his deep voice echoed through his armor.
Greg Baxen 0 Posted October 21, 2015 #24 Share Posted October 21, 2015 (edited) Greg hadn't had any ideas at all. He's not a pervert, you know, and voices his discomfort. "I'm not a pervert." He says rather bluntly, annoyance visible on his face, evident by a raised eyebrow and a glare. If Teayre meant something different, he didn't know, that's what he interpretted her "Before you get any ideas" statement as. Shaking the annoyance off, Greg introduces himself, extending his hand for a handshake. "My name's Greg Baxen. Nice to meet you." After his introduction, he opens his menu and changes out of his casual attire, (which consists of merely a plain white shirt and black pair of pants.) and into his armor. A deep blue coat materializes over a plain lighter blue shirt with long sleeves. The <Coat of the Azure Wind> blows in its namesake.(For reference of what my Coat of the Azure Wind looks like, think kinda like Kirito's Blackwyrm Coat in SAO canon... except it's blue.) Koumori 0 Posted October 21, 2015 #25 Share Posted October 21, 2015 The other high level guy, who I only knew as Dom, laughed when I called the red haired girl the fun one. As it turned out his definition of fun was very different from mine. I returned a laugh myself before answering him back. "I mean I love hanging onto dear life as much as the next guy but whatever floats your boat" I offered the guy a smile so he'd know I still wasn't being serious. In any case, he wasted no time in getting ready to go and equipped all his battle gear with the swipe of a finger. Even I would've admitted that it looked impressive. Very black that's for sure. Once he was settled he again repeated but he was really only talking to the girl, who he called Teayre. As she said earlier there were eight of us so there were still quite a few who needed to decide what they were doing. I thought I'd rally for our team a little. I slid in the seat a little closer to her and pointed to us with my hand. "Any one who wants to ride in the funvee can come with Teayre and I." I hoped I wasn't making her uncomfortable. I had only just learned her name and I was acting like we were close friends. If I was reading her anywhere near correctly I assumed she was cool with it. (I'm just gonna go ahead and throw out that maybe we should end the thread here to get the SP and then make a new one to continue with the rest. Sound cool?)
Toothpick 0 Posted October 21, 2015 #26 Share Posted October 21, 2015 (OOC: I need to get in the habit of checking the site more frequently, and posting, the pacing you guys have is fast :v) “The way I see it, the two are interchangeable, can’t say one without the other, at least in my case. There ain’t no separation of identity, my real name is just as intimate as my username…...though, I can level with you on art being relative…..I guess I just can’t help but see it subjectively.” Toothpick’s relaxed countenance flickered into concern over the sudden flush of Teayre’s cheeks, their quick departure assuring him that it was nothing “physical” that ailed her, he himself returning to the usual calm. Toothpick attributed the flash of red to her accidentally reminding herself of “someone she trusted”, the subject matter something Toothpick felt no right to prod. Thus, the curiosity was allowed to fade into drains unlike those of the fountain almost as quickly as the red had passed, and the water flowed on. “Odd coincidence if you ask me, but being odd is coincidence’s god given duty, isn’t it?” Ssendom caught Toothpick attention far before he approached the group, his stylish attire making him stand out among the usual crew of NPC’s and lower leveled players, the latter of which partially constituted of those who tried to vainly imitate the stylistic gleam associated with frontliners. Watching with a stray eye with no care to reveal or conceal intent as "Dom" approached, Toothpick spoke when the appropriate time came, “Nice to meet you, Ssendoom, our quiet friend over there is ‘Mythic’? The fellow in armor, Lee, And myself, Toothpick,” he gestured to each in their respective order. While Toothpick would’ve commented on Greg’s so-called problem, ignoring the notion of dungeoneering out of discomfort, he was cut off before he could even begin. The suddenness of Koumori’s entrance, despite being of the same youthful energy caged within Toothpick, was so startling that he was left speechless. “Where did you learn that?” The gaudy performance was still impressive, and were it not for Toothpick being startled, he would’ve greeted it with an applause. His eye’s flicked over to the Teayre’s “wardrobe of light”, returning to their abstract stare as it diminished. While he chuckled at Greg’s flustered response and made a note to remember his name(short names were, and always will be, troublesome for Toothpick to remember), Toothpick didn’t feel the need to add much to the conversation as it was, and was content to allow the others to plan. With the company present, he doubted that there would be much of an issue if they were to enter relatively dangerous lands, regardless of his being entirely unprepared, and thus, he saw no need to pitch in. However, despite his confidence, the light blue wardrobe, a reminder of his frailty, was not a comforting beacon. When it came time for him to speak, Toothpick shrugged, legs stretching out, right heel resting on right foot, not too far away from Koumori, “Since it seems we’re delegating the pros as ‘team captains’, I’ll go on Ssendom’s ship, or do you prefer I call you ‘Dom’?” (OOC's Identical Twin: That's probably ideal, simply for logistics sake.) Teayre 0 Posted October 23, 2015 Author #27 Share Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) Looking around at the group Teayre pushes herself off the bench barely coming up to anyone's shoulder, her eyes looking at everyone in the area, her hand on one hip as her other hand flicks down her menu selecting her weapon. “Greg, I wasn’t meaning that you were having naughty thoughts. I was implying don’t try to size people up, even someone who is dressed in starting gear could have very powerful items on underneath if it’s hidden.” Her eyes pierced around the group again. Laughing as Koumori mentioned fun a couple of times she shot him a look of dread. Her eyes narrowed as her left hand gripped around the hilt of her katana. “Koumori! Don’t act so friendly with me. I don’t know you… Yet.” The girl softened her expression as she smiled at the boy with a glint in her eye. “Right Dom’ll take the people who wish to go with him and sort how you’re meeting up that side. Anyone who wants to come with me I’ll wait for you by the teleportation plaza in Uburus.” With that Teayre sends Koumori a party invite before disappearing into the crowd of players that surged by. Thread Complete! All Participants Gain 1 SP and 50 Col. Please pm me or Ssendom if you’d like to go to the dungeon on the second floor. We’ll start the thread.
