Roxanne 0 Posted October 5, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2015 The Starting City... Or the Town of Beginnings as many people call it, was very beautiful. Especially the center of town, with the small waterfall, placed in the very center, with benches carefully designed across the plaza. There were plenty of trees planted, and beds of flowers. The town teleporter was also nearby, which was the only thing that made the scene look fake. Roxanne had found that Sword Art Online was a very nice virtual reality. You could almost forget that you were in a different world, with how amazing it looked. Her default language was set to French, which gave it the added bonus, as the NPC's only spoke French in her ears, and every sign was translated from English, or Japanese, to French. It made it much easier. She was surprised with how the translations were, as not many places would be able to translate it so easily, as it had. Her red hair floated slightly, as it was high upon her head, her spear laid in her inventory, waiting to be drawn out, if the need be. Her back was to the plaza, as she stuck her hand in the water fountain, and watched as a fish came closer and brushed across her fingers.
Red_Rose 0 Posted October 5, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2015 Red tore through the starting town on her way to the south gate. She still had to cross the Plaza, and the merchants quarter which given the time of day would be packed with people starting out on their own adventures. The young blonde was on her way to meet up with some of her guild members to assist in a quest that they had been planning for quite some time. Unfortunately, she had woken up late today putting her behind schedule, and forcing the rushed pace. She couldn't afford to be late, she wasn't after all an official member of the party, so they would leave without her.Red rounded a corner sharply exploding into the open street. As she expected it was packed, at least in this district. Worry flooded over the girl now as she realized she wouldn't make it at this rate. "Get Out of the way." She shouted as she continued her sprint. As in most cases people simple kept going ignoring her as she pressed on, much to her frustration. This caused the small woman to curse loudly as she weaved in and out of the mass of bodies. A brief break in the crowd revealed that near the fountain was fairly vacant, she just needed to navigate the 100 or so yards of people and then it was clear sailing.Another loud curse allowed for another temporary break and Red was off again. This time she hugged the walls, darting along the city architecture with grace as she neared her goal. After a few moments she was clear of the crowd and freely running past the fountain. She was so happy to be free of the people that she hadn't noticed the cart being pushed out in front of her till it was too late. With only a moments time to think Red bailed from her course, only to trip over the fountains ledge. She landed with a splash, soaking herself and everything around her. She rose from the water sharply, cursing loudly and shaking her fist angrily at the man who had been pushing the cart. He, being an NPC, did not respond, but instead simply carried on pushing his cart on whatever pre programmed loop he had been set on. "Just great." She said in a rather disappointed voice as she stepped out of the fountain dripping water onto the street.
Roxanne 0 Posted October 6, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted October 6, 2015 The sound of thudding footsteps startled Roxanne. She drew her hand away from the water fountain, and looked around in bewilderment to see where the noise was coming from. She could hear the bustle as the NPCs and Players went about their business around her, however the quick paced footsteps that were coming from the blonde girl nearby, were slightly confusing Roxanne. As the girl came closer at a rather quick speed, Roxanne noticed one of the NPCs pushing a cart of freshly baked biscuits. He was on a predestined loop, only to stop if you go up to buy his biscuits. They tasted rather terrible, as Roxanne had found out very quickly. The cart was slowly being pushed in the blonde girl's path, out of instinct Roxanne shouted out at the girl. "Fais Attention!" The blonde girl most likely hadn't heard Roxanne, as she didn't notice the cart until it was right in front of her. In an attempt to dodge it, the blonde girl tripped and splashed into the water fountain. It caused splashes of the sparkling blue water to drench Roxanne. Her light brown beginner clothing turned a dark chocolate brown, as it was now soaked with water. Without thinking of how the girl had gotten her wet, she held out her left hand and hoped the girl would take it. She spoke in a very worried tone, "Est ce que tout va bien?" With a start she realized the girl didn't look French at all. Her voice wavered slightly, and she spoke once more, "Pardon!" She quickly racked the English side of her brain, and translated her French into English as quick as she could, "What I mean to say... Is everything alright?" Her voice was thick with her French Accent, making her sound quite adorable. As she spoke as fluently as she could, even if her words were a little mispronounced.
