Aphrodite 0 Posted October 11, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2015 (edited) Aphrodite sat on the bench next to the water fountain of floor one. This was where she had met her first few friends.... The memories of them grew in her mind, Elul... That sweet little girl. Well, she is older than I am. But that doesn't matter.... Her eyes looks at the scene in front of her, remembering standing on the stoney pavement and speaking in her cute little British way, Hirru. The one who tested my patience... And Nirvana, the one with the Sapphire blue orbs that bore right into my soul. My first three friends of SAO. They mean a lot to me. It was now that she thought of her brother... Tristan Delaney. She had heard rumors about him being the best of the best in the S&Z fights. He was known all around as Tristan Delaney, the best tank around. Some called him Trist.... Some called him Tristan, but to her he would always be her big brother. Her hero. No matter what he did to others, or to her. She would love him forever like a little sister should. Her eyes roamed about the streets, Tristan... He doesn't even know i'm in this game yet. I haven't tried to contact him in any way. I feel bad... But at the same time, I have been hiding in the town of floor 1, forever now. I am actually feeling lonely. Which is not good. I need to get out and make more friends.... Maybe if I meet up with Tristan.... Maybe that will help.... Her thoughts kept roaming in her head, always making her come to the realization that she needed more friends here. Even if people could die, that didn't matter. It is easier to make friends, fight alongside them till the death, than to die alone. Tristan Delaney 0 Posted October 11, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2015 Tristan, as per usual when bored out of his face, was on the first floor. He was in fact in the Town of Beginnings to relax, having just come out of the Floor 11 floor boss fight which paved the way to Floor 12. As testament to the success, he was wearing as his armour the unique he got from it, the Burden of the Fallen, a chainmail armor that covered his arms, chest and legs (but not head) and a templar tunic, splattered in blood as testament to the brutality of the Crusader (see picture in sig for equipment). So in a way, along with the Twinfire Reflector which emanated heat on his back and his vicious looking Serpent's Pierce spear, he was 6ft 3 and while slim, was broad shouldered and had long flowing red hair and scars on his face. He was...terrifying to say the least, if a bit more terrifying that his face was not grimaced, but a calm face with a slight smile.Tristan thought back while his mind was relaxed, thinking of times of yore. He remembered a time where he had a younger sibling, but it was so long ago that he could no longer recollect. His memory was rather pitiful as it is, so he couldn't even remember having a sibling one time. He sighed, giving up trying to remember what it was and walked slowly by a water fountain, of which there were only a few people about.
Aphrodite 0 Posted October 11, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted October 11, 2015 Aphrodite's gaze kept traveling across the people as her thoughts wandered. Suddenly, she noticed a tall man with red hair stop by the fountain. He was tall, and had long hair. Her minds traveled as she seemed to somewhat recognize the tall man. She had a very confused expression on her face, and decided to walk closer, and hopefully catch a glimpse of his face. She reached the fountain, and carefully walked farther from the redhead man. So her body was somewhat across from his, separated by part of the fountain. She could see his face out of the corner of her eye, and she tilted her head slightly to peer closer. She suddenly picture the younger form of Tristan, from when they had seen each other, and wondered if it could be her brother. She might have seen some picture of his older self, but she wasn't quite sure. She was tempted to call out the name Tristan, just to see if it was truly him, but knew that if she did. She would most likely look weird if it wasn't him. She gripped the edge of the water fountain. It looked somewhat like the picture... But was it really him? She closed her eyes, and reopened them, caught in her thoughts, her gaze moving from his face to the water in the fountain.
Tristan Delaney 0 Posted October 12, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2015 Tristan wandered about the area looking for something to do, finding himself slightly bored at doing nothing. Sure, he had evaded a possibly miserable death not too long back, but it was still a shock to the system to go from floor clearing to one of the most peaceful places in Aincrad. He sighed deeply, trying to let his mind calm down from the state it was and decided to observe his surroundings.Said surroundings were a bit more odd than usual, with a young girl, probably 14 roughly much like Kiru's age, acting rather oddly. He kept his gaze forward and stuck to his peripheral vision, but she seemed to look at him strangely, then gave an odd stare, then flustered and stared at the water. At least that was what he could make out, since he was no mind reader. Tristan however was usually a man of results, so decided to approach her directly, walking to where she was and sitting beside her. He gave a gentle smile and said "Excuse me, I couldn't help notice you looking at me, but I wasn't sure if you were trying to talk to me or not. May I know what it was you were possibly inquiring about?". He had no idea what to really expect, but dove into it anyway.
Aphrodite 0 Posted October 12, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted October 12, 2015 Aphrodite seemed taken back as the man she thought she knew spoke to her. As she heard his accent, she tilted her head slightly. Her eyes widened and realization shone clear as day upon her face, "T-Tristan?!" The word slipped out of her mouth before she could stop it, and felt her cheeks grow slightly red, as her accent matched his quite nicely, showing some sort of relativity. She silently started to make circles with her thumbs, a habit formed by her mother, as she waited for him to reply to her. She wasn't impatient, in fact she was very patient, but habits are habits. Is it really him? I wonder.... Her thoughts grew with every passing second.
Tristan Delaney 0 Posted October 12, 2015 #6 Share Posted October 12, 2015 The only answer he got out the girl was...his name. It was rather odd though. See, most people knew his name already by the reputation he had as one of the top tanks in the game. However the way she said it was as if she was addressing him like someone would finding an old friend, or having found someone they were looking for. He wasn't entirely sure how to respond, since on the one hand he could just say he was, but there seemed more to it than that. He nodded with a gentle smile and said "Why yes,, that is my name. Excuse myself though, I feel like I've maybe met you before, but can't remember. I suppose that's down to my rather goldfish memory..." a dark chuckle at the end of his sentence. Aphrodite 0 Posted October 13, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted October 13, 2015 Her bewilderment quickly turned into a saddened frown, "That makes sense....." She looked down at her feet suddenly she was very upset, making herself cheer up, she gave a small smile, "W-well... We kind of have the same kind of accent... As if we grew up in the same place..." Her hinting, hoping he would indeed acknowledge that fact, and guess something, as she wouldn't tell him. It could be a different Tristan though, it wouldn't have to be Tristan Delaney. It could be just another random British man. I have to give him credit... He hasn't seen me in a while, so.... He might have awful memory... But I'll always remember my big brother. Tristan Delaney 0 Posted October 13, 2015 #8 Share Posted October 13, 2015 Tristan nodded to what she said, adding to it "Yes we do indeed have a similar accent. I actually earlier today had a faint recollection of younger family back home, but my year in SAO has taken its toll and honestly, I can't remember a damn thing from my time back home. My mind has been so filled with Sword Art Online, I feel going back home would be a real shock to my system. I might remember again what family I had though...". He gave a deep sigh as he sat beside her and looked to the sky. Well, the sky being the next floor in the far distance, where the mountainous region of Floor 2 laid. One couldn't really go underground with not much ground to go under, so most caverns in Aincrad were inside hills or mountains and flat terrain like Floor 1 was particularly uncommon for most floors thus far."So what brings you to Aincrad then, or rather what goals? Just out of curiosity that is.". He smiled gently and looked at her, waiting for her response.
Aphrodite 0 Posted October 13, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted October 13, 2015 With a tiny smile once again, "W-well... It originally was to be able to hang out with my big brother more. So we could have more things in common." She spoke as if Tristan wasn't her brother, as if she was talking about a different individual. Her eyes went to the roof of the floor, faintly being able to see the darkened spaces. I can't wait until we got to floor 100. Then we can actually see the virtual reality's sky... I bet it's gorgeous. Her daydreaming went further, until she snapped out of it, "What about you?"
Tristan Delaney 0 Posted October 14, 2015 #10 Share Posted October 14, 2015 Tristan gave a slight smirk when asked his own goals within Aincrad. "Haha, that's an interesting one. At first I had no clue, I stumbled through sword art online clueless. After a long journey of friendships, relationships, destructive moments, victories, losses and death, and that's paraphrasing a lot, I can safely say what I want. To protect the people of Aincrad to the best of my ability. People will be hurt. People will die. People will make mistakes. But I want in the end for as many of us to come out of Aincrad alive and well as possible, even if it means putting my life on the line. There are only so many of us in Aincrad and I feel without that, who else will? And if there was someone like that, are they enough to manage it? I'll make sure we live by the end as much as I can try.". He smiled again like before.
