[PP-F1] A (sort of) reunion. (Elul) [COMPLETE!]

Whit stretched his arms in an arcing motion backwards, "Elul, I don't think you understand what it means to have lived in the real world and be a gamer." Whit turned to Elul, a slight glint in his eyes and a half smile on his face, "it means you have no power, no say in what happens, gamers are some of the most hard working people I've met, those people who died had chosen to die when they stepped into our world. I know, you could say that Kayaba is evil, its true, none of us ever expected to be in a game where a small mistake can lead to death and we wouldn't know it."

"But in the real world we were always taught to shut up and let other people take over for us."

"That was their world."

"Here, I can have the power to determine my own fate, not a false lie called freedom."

Whit held out his hand to Elul, "So will you help me to start my own adventure?"

Elul would always be scared of leaving the starting towns in video games when she was younger, they were safe and as long as she didn't leave she would never watch herself die a horrible death. So she would never leave, but one day she met someone who changed her mind.

Oh come on, there's so much to do out there, why don't you just push forward!

Elul would watch as Whit walked bravely through destroyed town, closing her eyes as he fought the evil king, dodging every blow and teaching her that there was more to games than their peaceful towns and friendly npcs.

And this time Whit was asking for her help as if the tables had turned.

Elul placed her hand in Whit's, "Well, someone's got to keep you from dying."

Whit grinned, "well, that's about the only time I'll be serious, so I hope you memorized that entire speech." Whit gripped Elul's hand and pulled her out of the park and into the streets, "c'mon, we've got work to do if we wanna get you home safely." Whit continued to pull Elul through the crowds, eventually picking her up and putting her on his shoulders.

"Let's go thank Kayaba."
