[SP-F10] Clearing the Fields (Col and Material Farming One)

He barely managed to come out the other end as the rest of the cave collapsed behind him. He turned to see there was nothing but a giant stone wall separating him from where he came from and where he was now. He scoffed with a smile, "Well we'll just have to forge a new way out of here Amethyst." He said happily to the bird which chirped in an equally happy manner. He couldn't help from keeping a smile, it was indeed the flaming bird's fault that they were in such a mess. But there was a massive gold lining in all of it, there were even MORE monsters that needed slaying and even more unexplored grounds that needed to be mapped out and he was the best man for the job. Night Vision, a bird that could light up his surrounds, and his ability to annihilate any mob he comes in contact with. And on top of it all, he was ready to go right now as all of his energy had been recouped.

As he walked around the corridor he was in he noticed a patrolling group of guards who were just so happening to be entering the giant room that Ssendom was standing in. He bid his time watching each and every single skeleton as it entered the room, he was looking for the weaknesses in their formation to take advantage of and how many strikes he would need to risk taking before getting in the best position possible. Once he felt confident in his battle strategy, he began to blitz toward the ground. His loud clanging armor alerted the guardsmen to focus and charge at him in turn. It seemed as though this group of skeletons were a bit smarter than those closer to the main grounds. Their formation was set rather strategically he managed to dodge and deflect an attack, but while trying to get around the second skeleton, it managed to inflict a crucial blow to his back. But nevertheless he found the formation break in the group before the fourth could deliver it's blow, and he managed to eviscerate the entire group in a single blow as he had been doing up until now.

He darted into the next room before his phoenix could have a chance to heal him. And he saw a group of skeletons guarding a door way, why they were there Ssendom had no real particular care for. He just knew he had to destroy the group and continue exploring, since that was all that mattered to him. He dashed toward the group as the bird was about to use it's healing flames on him. He knew exactly how careless he was allowed to be, so he risked a lot knowing he had quite possibly the most amazing little purple fire bird in the entire game. Well he was certain he had the ONLY purple fire bird amongst the players.

He took stepped into the next room, his faithful bird Amethyst finally caught up to him and used it's healing fire upon his back. He felt rather refreshed when the bird used it's healing flames, it was times like this he would be reassured that he has quite possibly the best pet, and the best friend in the game. A bird that could keep up with his relentless pace and his ruthless fighting habits. He was a never-ending train of unbridled fury and pain for his enemies. The bird was beginning to heave though as it was having a hard time matching tempo with it's master. But luckily for it, he needed to stop and take a break every now and again.

Ssendom then kneeled down seeing two different groups of four skeletons, this was the perfect room for his next clearing. He made sure to monitor their traveling patterns to try and decipher when he wanted to engage the enemies. He needed an ample moment when they weren't walking toward or close enough together to draw aggro from four groups. Ssendom found himself impressive, but since he didn't have a clear cut pathway out of the dungeon that he could utilize, he needed to formulate the best possible timing to instigate combat with the groups to maximize his chances for two group clearings. Thus he sat there kneeling on one knee observing the two groups noting their formations and anything else important about them.

After a good ten or fifteen minutes of watching the group he finally managed to figure out when the most opportune time to engage a group. It seemed as though the two groups only had a good fifteen to twenty second window to engage on before the other group was close enough to start closing in on him. He logged everything he could about them in his head. He took a very long and deep breath, this is going to go quickly so I am definitely going to be winded. He felt his eyes begin to droop a little bit, he turned his head to look at the time and noticed it was the wee hours of the morning. He didn't often stay up so late, but he was having so much fun eviscerating groups of skeletons that it managed to keep his adrenaline going.

Once the two groups began to walk away from each other, Ssendom focused the group to his right. He took a hard angle toward the spot in the direction they were heading. His blade ready to cleave, his phoenix ducking into his armor as it was beginning to be unable to keep itself awake. He kept his eyes upon the group that was trailing farther and farther away. He reached the spot they were heading to, and immediately upon them aggroing and charging him, he began to count in his head, '20... 19... 18' swiftly the skeletons reached him, but not before he was prepared for them to do so. But unfortunately he didn't agree with any of the chances he had, the Phoenix from within his armor blew a healing flame to help save him from some of harms way. He still kept counting down, each attack took about a second to go through managing to dodge two of them but taking to hits at the same time.

'13... 12... 11' He thought methodically as he was standing in the midst of four Skeletons who were wailing at him. The strikes would have been devastating to most people, but to Ssendom it was but a breeze to deal with. The new item he had obtained had increased his overall HP, allowing him to absorb more than the average front liner in the game. His health was still in the green, so there wasn't much to fret about as he continued to focus on the other group's timing while keeping his eyes peeled on the group he was in the midst of for a secure hit that would eliminate them. Before the group could wind their blades back up to try and strike again, Ssendom eliminated them all with his Sword Art Fight Blade, then hauled ass toward the other group which was heading his way.

As he was nearing the new group, their eyes flicked red in anger after noticing the other group explode into light blue data fragments. The group and Ssendom charging at each other in unison, but Ssendom the only one who had come up with a battle strategy that he had been employing since the first group he faced. He always kept his eyes peeled for the most desirable of advantageous positions to completely destroy the entire group in one fell go. He didn't have time to try and widdle down a group in a manner of a few attacks. He needed to get in, kill, and get gone. He was very methodical in his battles, which to those who were used to him was very unlike him as he had been considered to have reckless tendencies. This time he didn't give the group a chance to react as he saw a tight but good opening in the dead center of them. Utilizing his Fight Blade Sword Art again, he dominated the entire group in a single wack causing them all to explode into thousands of data particles again.

Ssendom fell on his back as the area was pretty much as safe as it could get. He tapped his armor to get the droopy eyed phoenix whelping whose fire was dying down so it could go to sleep, "Hey before you completely fall asleep, mind using your healing flames one last time?" He asked, to which the little birdie replied and breathed the last of the fiery breath it was willing to do on Ssendom. After which it collapsed and began to snooze on him, he chuckled and agreed with it. "I think a small nap is in order as well, since I have cleared most of the area I should be safe for a few hours to rest." He chuckled as he stated. He leaned his head back and fell asleep to rest like his bird did.

After a few hours, Ssendom could begin to hear the sounds of bones colliding with the ground. He opened his eyes which were painful to open since he was so tired. The bird had yet to awaken, but he swiftly got to his feet and began to walk in a direction that was away from the sounds of boney footsteps. His energy had yet to completely recuperate so he needed to stray away from fights as best as possible till he got a full night worth of sleep. He looked up at the time it was and saw that he was asleep for probably four or so hours. After he found a spot he could hide out in, he looked around for any potential patrol groups. After he was comfortable enough to lay down in the nook, he continued his sleep through the night.

An alarm began to ring in his head, in a way a literal ring in his head. He had set an alarm for exactly 8 A.M. so he wouldn't over sleep in the depths of Tartarus, He slowly pulled himself out of the nook looking around for any groups of skeletons he would have had to deal with. Once he determined the coast was clear, he got out and on his feet dusting off his armor. The flaming bird flew out of his armor and immediately breathed some healing flames on him as his health hadn't completely recuperated unlike his energy, "Thank you Amethyst. Now lets clear the rest of the dungeon." He said in a powerful and confident manner, he could still feel the rage built up by the potion he had made. "Let's do this!"

Ssendom quickly darted through the dungeon searching for the next group of prey he would feast upon with his brute strength. The second he found one a few corridors down, he blitzed forward immediately ready to reap havoc upon the entire group. It was as if he hadn't even lost a step from the previous night, he was very aware of his surroundings and able to keep his eyes open for the most opportune attack he could take. He didn't need to wait long as he quickly got into a very weak spot in the formation of the skeletons and with unbelievable strength, he obliterated all the skeletons scatterings their bones everywhere before they exploded into data particles.

He saw another group walking toward him after immediately reaping the first group. While he was still feeling rather lucky, and he was always feeling like he was overpowering his opponents. He quickly darted to the group much like the previous one, grinning from ear to ear with his blade in hand ready to destroy the group. He slid forward before the skeletons could start their focus on him completely, he then used his Fight Blade Sword Art to rip through all four of the skeletons before they could actually react to all the movements he was making.

Ssendom was really beginning to mesh very well with his potion, he felt calmer yet able to unleash havoc at the exact same time. He could feel the pit in his stomach that was filled with the rage that was created by the potion made by Piera. But it was no longer completely consuming him like it had at that one point yesterday. Ssendom kept his eyes forward, he knew he hadn't even been touched by the weak skeletons. That were actually much stronger than the floor normally used against the players who traversed the floor.

Ssendom heard voices and foot steps from directly above him, all he could do was smile knowing that other players happened to be traversing the floor as well and fighting some of the mobs Tartarus had to offer. He was even more relieved they weren't doing the risky business that he was, they were in a small party playing it safe. It then dawned on him that ever since he was no longer with Meokka and he went back to being single, he was a lot more reckless and ruthless. He was willing to do scenario's like this, being alone and potentially risking being killed by himself in the darkness the world of Aincrad had to offer.

Once he stopped appreciating the sounds of other players footsteps and words, he turned his attention back towards the corridor he was in and rushed forward. The darkness was still as much in his favor as it was for the skeletons. Since his armor was black and for the most part it was normally far too dark to see the skeletons, in times like this just as he had thought far earlier on when he was exiting the town of Yomi. "Man you really cannot appreciate Night Vision enough. Unless you don't have it and you're walking in the darkness with a harder time hitting. Am I right Amethyst?" He asked his bird which chirped loudly and happily as if it were agreeing with him.

As Ssendom came across a dual set of stairs with a decent distance between the two of them. Upon them stood two groups of skeletons, the distance wasn't impossible to cross in a single leap. Ssendom chuckled, "Well this could be entertaining now Amethyst. Get in the dead center of the two groups just to stay safe." He advised to his whelp. The fiery bird nodded and began to fly directly in between to the two stairwells, upon that note Ssendom dashed up the stairwell to his left. Upon reaching the top he blocked the first attack from the first skeleton, and he noticed an opening show up but he wouldn't have the time to stop the attack of the second skeleton. Upon taking the hit, he cleaved the entire group with his Fight Blade Sword Art as he had been accustomed to doing at this point.

Ssendom turned and immediately made the single lunging bound over his own purple fiery whelp, using enough lower body strength to complete the entire leap all the way through landing in a very advantageous point. Before the skeletons could actually realize he was already in the dead center of them, he immediately eradicated them. He dropped his blade on his right shoulder, with his phoenix landing upon his other shoulder. He began to scratch Amethyst under the chin, "Well, it looks like it's going to be a good day for farming, I am over sixty percent of the way to my goal. Lets find our next group of prey." He said happily causing his little phoenix to chirp happily.

Ssendom entered the giant opening the right staircase led to, he was evaluating over everything that he had obtained during his travels thus far. He had accrued almost 7x the amount of col in the past twenty plus some odd hours than he had in over four months of farming on a consistent basis. "Well, these shoulders are worth their weight in Gold... Or worth the weight in Col." He laughed at his own terrible pun. He looked over at Amethyst that was simply shaking it's head, "Oh come on! That was a good one, you gotta give me that." He continued his laughter, the bird just chirped happily.
