Kalesh 0 Posted October 24, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) Kalesh stood at the border of the highest reached floor, fully armed and armored as he debated his next move carefully. He could head out now, and risk the perils of the high floor, or show the monsters this high that they didn't stand a chance. With a cocky grin, Kalesh opts for the latter. He clenches his clawed hands into a fist and steps forward, crossing the border of Lazaro and into the swampy floor that waited ahead of him. He double checked the items he had at his disposal, confirming that his teleport crystal remained in his jacket, ready to be used at any time. On his head rested the silver mask he had upgraded to grant him evasion and accuracy, on his body was the jacket he had ordered to give him evasion and the ability to recover stamina, and on his arms were his clawed weapons which focused entirely on rending his foes apart. He was satisfied with how well prepared he was and the damage he could do. All the remained was to see if the current limits of the ordinary foes could stand up to him. Kalesh 0 Posted October 24, 2015 Author #2 Share Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) Kalesh walked through the swamp curiously to see what there was to find on this new floor. It was the first time he had bothered to step outside of the safe zone that protected the new arrivals. He wondered curiously while looking around what monsters would be waiting. Alligators, bugs, flamingos, who knew? A high pitched noise to his right soon got the attention of him though, and he quickly turned on his heel to face it, just before a sharp probuscis pierced his chest! "W-what?" He froze there a moment as he lost nearly a third of his health, watching it drain away before seeing the cause of his problems. It was a large mosquito, easily as big as his chest! As he watched it he saw what looked like red energy draining from his character into it! "Ohhh no you don't!!" He yells as he jabs his claws into the insect seven times, piercing several of the bug's vital points and watching it shatter just before the energy could reach its body. He didn't know what it would do, but it... was not something he wanted. He looked into the corner of his vision to confirm the damage. "Man... It just tore right through me..." He grinned to himself "Let's find something else~!"[ID# 36069][BD: 9][CD: 6][LD: 18][MD: 10]Kalesh: 53/76 [38-15=23]Energy: 13/19 +1 -7Sword Art: Blade Spirits [9x7x1=63]Giant Mosquito: Dead/48 (12 Mitigation, 36 DMG) [63-12=51]+1 Material+240 Col (48x5) Edited October 24, 2015 by Kalesh
Kalesh 0 Posted October 24, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) Kalesh grinned with feral excitement while laughing aloud as he ran into the dangerous floor with reckless abandon. He could kill in one go, that was all he needed! He looked around for a sign of his next opponent. Whatever it was, he knew he could slice it apart with his claws if he only tried! He slammed his feet into the ground, skidding to a stop before he suddenly turned and held his claws at the ready, he had seen movement! "Come on, let's go!!" He says at what he noticed was an alligator or a crocodile, one of the two, leaping from the nearby swampy water with its jaws open! Kalesh deftly evaded the beast and even raked his claws through its body as it passed! That wasn't all though. As it landed into the moist ground wounded, he slashed at it again with a spin before stopping and spinning in the opposite direction! The beast was lunging and striking but every hit was evaded in an elegant dance of death. "Come on, you can do better!!" He says but with his latest strike the beast was felled. Kalesh grit his teeth and said "Aww, well, I guess I am happy you cannot last long." He shrugged his shoulders in disappointment though at the ease. He got over it pretty soon though![ID# 36070][BD: 6(4+2)][CD: 7][LD: 6][MD: 5(8-3)]Kalesh: 53/76Energy: 7/19 +2 -8Sword Art: Shadow Dance [8x4x2=64]Crocigator: Dead/48 (12 Mitigation, 36 DMG) [64-12=52]+1 Material(2 Total) Edited October 24, 2015 by Kalesh
Kalesh 0 Posted October 24, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) Kalesh figured it was time he took a short break. His health and stamina could only take so much before he'd be committing suicide. He took a deep breath, focusing his breathing as he tapped his foot impatiently. With the nearby monster dead, he decided he would keep himself busy with gathering. There was probably no lack of ingredients for potions or bait in such a location as this. This was a natural paradise for such things! The only thing he needed to do was look for some and he'd be golden. He already got a few things from the monsters he killed after all. He started to scan the ground curiously and even the nearby water which the last monster had assaulted him from. The was nothing in the water he could spot, this water was too murky for him to see too deep into. Knowing a waste of time when he saw it he started to walk elsewhere while wary to avoid monsters. For now.[ID# 36073][LD: 11] ((Some of you may notice I rolled twice. I forgot the link in the first roll which was a 15. Kalesh 0 Posted October 24, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) Kalesh felt a slight touch disheartened by his initial failure, but it would be enough to stop him from looking some more. You miss all the items you don't look for or some such saying. He had done fine enough killing, he just hoped his searching abilities hadn't dulled as a result. Even if they had it wouldn't be that huge a loss, his main goal was to just cut things up with his claws. It was kind of funny the more he thought it. "My claws..." He looked at his hands curiously, finding it rather... strange to refer to it like that, but what other way was there? It made him think like he was fighting like a beast if he used 'his claws'. "... I don't dislike it." He grinned widely as he clenched his hands into a fist. It seems his mental debate and conviction left him a little late on finding his materials. Too focused on taking pride in the thought which crossed his mind.[ID# 36074][LD: 11]Kalesh: 65/76 +6 Regen2/3 Out Of Combat Edited October 24, 2015 by Kalesh
Kalesh 0 Posted October 24, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) Kalesh glanced into the corner of his vision, watching as his energy refilled and his health was almost fully recovered. He was just about ready to start the combat over again. For just the moment however, he chose to wait and smile. His eyes looked around for any sign of a last minute material revealing itself as he slowly walked with his arms crossed. The last thing he could need right now was to get spooked before his energy could return. That was the biggest threat, running out of energy in a terrible moment. Thankfully he had a crystal to make such problems disappear! He could be a little reckless but not too much. On that note he heard a ribbit and turned his eyes to see a small toad! He smiled as he watched it hop around a little before he suddenly dived towards the toad with surprising speed, catching it in his hands and quickly tapping it into his inventory before it could escape! He laughed happily as he thought about the multiple ways he could put this creature to work for his benefit![ID# 36083][LD: 18]Kalesh: 71/76 +6 RegenMax Energy+1 Material (3 Total) Edited October 24, 2015 by Kalesh
Kalesh 0 Posted October 24, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) Kalesh took a deep breath. His energy was back, his health was mostly healed. He was ready to kill again! He charged forward with a feral smirk on his face as he charged through the swamp, not caring he was soaking his feet with each step and getting all manner of moss stuck to himself as he ran, that was just part of the floor! He could get rid of it once he returned to town, nothing to fear, nothing to worry about! What he did have to worry about however was the monster he had aggroed! He had been caught by surprise again, unable to dodge what he couldn't see! He felt a sharp cut across his back, to which his response was to stop, turn around, and charge angrily! He let out a feral yell as he started to hack away at the beast or whatever had hit him! Before he had even identified it, it was dead. The creature torn into too many pieces for him to recognize. A minute later it dawned on him... Was he just blinded by rage? He thought on that a moment as his frustration at the surprise attack fell. He double checks and it was certainly true he was green, and he doubted a player would have died so easily... Well, whatever, it's dead now and he had good reason to think it was a monster.[ID# 36085][BD: 9(7+2)][CD: 11][LD: 14][MD: 9]Kalesh: 50/76 (36-15=21)Energy: 12/19 -8 +1Sword Art: Shadow Dance [8x4x2=64]????: Dead/48 (12 Mitigation, 36 DMG) [64-12=52]+1 Material (4 Total)+240 Col (480 Total) Edited October 24, 2015 by Kalesh
Kalesh 0 Posted October 24, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) He spent a slight moment calming himself. What he just did was dangerous and risky, more for his reputation and sanity than his health, but it was still to be avoided. He got too angry, he needed to find a balance. He needed to get angry, but not lose himself in the middle of it. He took a deep breath and began to run again, eyes scanning around with his claws at the ready for whatever thought to attack him next. Sometimes he figured it was rather inefficient for him, having a weapon designed for single targets while other players could focus on many, but he had to just accept it for what it was. He had his limitations and his strengths, everybody did. With his thoughts concluded at the absolute best moment he noticed what looked like the bigger brother of the toad he had caught! It was massive, almost as tall as him! "Challenge accepted!!" He shouts as he charges the toad. It didn't even have a chance to turn before the first two cuts disabled its legs. It croaked in disapproval as five more perfectly aimed sliced tore the monster apart, leaving it to shatter apart before him and grant him a material. "Challenge completed." He states cockily.[ID# 36094][BD: 9][CD: 12][LD: 1][MD: 1]Kalesh: 50/76 (36-15=21)Energy: 7/19 -7 +2Sword Art: Blade Spirits [9x7x1=63]Giant Toad: Dead/48 (12 Mitigation, 36 DMG) [63-12=51]+1 Material (5 Total) Edited October 24, 2015 by Kalesh
Kalesh 0 Posted October 24, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) As before, Kalesh calmed himself and decided to look around as his health and energy recovered. He could attack more, but he knew better than to fully expend himself when not necessary. The worst things in the world were surprises in a permadeath game. You want every move and action to be calculated... but deep inside him an urge to keep fighting kept burning, making him laugh at the apparent battlefury he was gradually making use of as he fought on this high floor. Perhaps it was because all his previous enemies were weak, he didn't know. Either way, he was having a surprising level of fun! He spent a few moments longer simply laughing and chuckling to himself, any passerby would probably think him a madman at this point unfortunately.[ID# 36098][LD: 1]Kalesh: 56/76 +6Energy: 8/19 +1 Edited October 24, 2015 by Kalesh
Kalesh 0 Posted October 24, 2015 Author #10 Share Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) Kalesh was about to sit himself down to relax when suddenly something burst from behind a tree in front of him! He quickly straightened himself out as he barely managed to dodge the-... Dodo? He watched as the strange bird waddled along in as threatening a manner as possible, its wings fluffed out to try and look more threatening. Kalesh felt a ping of pity, regret almost. The beast had interrupted his energy recovering phase and there was only one way to fix this. "I'm sorry." He says as he raises his claws and charged, sighing as he starts slicing away at the bird with elegant movements, letting it at least die in style as it squawked and shattered apart. "... I hope I am not the one who made the dodos extinct."[ID# 36100][BD: 8(6+2)][CD: 12][LD: 19][MD: 1]Kalesh: 56/76Energy: 2/19 -8 +2Sword Art: Shadow Dance [8x4x2=63]Dodo: Dead/48 (12 Mitigation, 36 DMG) [63-12=51]+2 Materials (7 Total)+240 Col (720 Total) Edited October 24, 2015 by Kalesh
Kalesh 0 Posted October 26, 2015 Author #11 Share Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) For a moment Kalesh felt like he was going to collapse, his energy had sunk almost to zero. He really needed to rest this time, slipping down onto his knees as he takes a deep breath and rests his hands to the ground while he caught his breath. This was a slightly dangerous situation but not a life risking one. If something showed up before he could defend himself, he just needed to teleport out. Not a big deal. He kept repeating that to himself to calm his heart, taking deep breaths and forcing himself to smile so his brain thought he was happy. "Just let the energy come back... That's all there is to it~" He let out a long breath as he focused himself out of any other emotions other than calm relaxation and tranquility and other stuff like that.[ID# 36302 ][LD: 6]Kalesh: 62/76 +61/3 out of combat Edited October 26, 2015 by Kalesh
Kalesh 0 Posted October 26, 2015 Author #12 Share Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) He could feel his energy starting to regenerate, sure the second-wind effect would trigger any second now. He decided to start looking around for the moment, wanting to see if he could find any new materials. He saw a small snake sliver by but when Kalesh tried to slash at it, the snake evaded and retreated into the water. He sighed softly as he quickly decided he would not try to enter into the water. The last thing he needed was to deal with whatever was waiting for him in the heart of this floor's water. He had enough MMO common sense to know it would be a giant reptile of some sort, just waiting for stupid players to walk to their deaths. "I'm not gonna be 'that guy'" he concluded to himself while staring down into the murky depths before backing away from the waters.[ID# 36303][LD: 10]Kalesh: 68/76 +62/3 out of combat Edited October 26, 2015 by Kalesh
Kalesh 0 Posted October 26, 2015 Author #13 Share Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) While backing away from the water he felt a surge of energy as he got his second wind, looking to confirm that his energy had fully recovered before he turned on his heel and made off into the wild once again! So far this had been a pretty successful test run. His claws tore through the common monsters like butter, but he was sure the field bosses would be monstrously hard for him to battle solo. He didn't feel comfy about it, not being suicidal in the tiniest bit. He wasn't going to rush into any battles he didn't feel decently confident he could survive. Killing solo was ideal, but he felt no shame in asking for help... when taking on things bigger than himself, anyways.[ID# 36317][LD: 1]Kalesh: 74/76 +63/3 out of combat - Max Energy Edited October 26, 2015 by Kalesh

He glanced to the side and gasped as he suddenly knelt down, a colossal snake soaring over him and barely missing with its fangs! Kalesh soon forced his way out of his fear and instead brought his claws upward, the snake's own momentum causing the claws to rake across deeply! As the wounded snake landed Kalesh charged, spinning on his heel with a whirlwind of cuts going up the monster's body! It was not long before the long beast shattered apart and left him with a nice piece of snakeskin leather! "I can slay the ass of anythiiiiing!" He proudly shouted to the heavens! Then something awful happened. Something he wished he hadn't seen in the first place. From the water soon rose what appeared to be a golem made out of leeches! Kalesh had to bring his hand to his mouth to keep from making a very undignified noise at the sight of so many bloodsuckers all in the same place at the same time! "OH GOD NO, IT WOULD BE A SIN TO LET YOU SURVIVE IN THIS WORLD!!" Sensing a slight movement he leapt back, his but hitting the marshy but somewhat solid ground behind him as he scrabbled to get away from the most likely monster infested liquid! If he was in a boat he'd be a lot less fearful, but going in as just himself was a baaaad idea! As if to punctuate his point, he soon saw another large reptile crawl out from where he was with its jaws open, searching for the prey which had just vacated itself from the area. "Called it..." He muttered to himself as he got himself onto his legs while taking a deep breath and aiming his claws for the next time the croc tried to come at him.[ID# 36323][BD: 1][CD: 12][MD: 3(6-3)]Kalesh: 72/76Energy: 8/19 -2 +2Sword Art: Miss!Crocigator: 48/48 (12 Mitigation, 36 DMG) Edited October 26, 2015 by Kalesh

He had fought a creature like this at least once before, he was prepared for the creature this time. At least, that is what he was telling himself before it charged forward with its jaws open! Before he knew it, it was closing its jaws around him! He held his claws hands out, grabbing both of the closing jaws and stopping them as he held his ground, legs tensed along with his arms to hold his ground and keep the jaws from shutting towards his ribs. He had a very intimate view into the alligator's mouth, trying not to inhale through his mouth as he was sure there was nothing pleasant to smell here as they had a clash of wills![ID# 36324][BD: 2][CD: 7][MD: 2]Kalesh: 72/76Energy: 8/19 -2 +2Sword Art: Miss!Crocigator: 48/48 (12 Mitigation, 36 DMG) Edited October 26, 2015 by Kalesh

He wasn't going to just let it have its way, so even as he was being based around Kalesh kept cutting and slicing at the monster until it finally broke, going limp before shattering apart and leaving Kalesh gasping and panting as he touched the holes on his body to ensure they weren't filled with teeth or anything that broke off. He could kill anything here, but so could anything here given sufficient chance. Still, he felt pride in what he had accomplished today. He was probably one of the weakest players to take on this floor on his own, at least level wise. He took pride where he could, not wanting to suddenly lose his motivation and just fall off the map for one reason or another. He was going to keep going all the way to the top. When the 13th floor was released, even if he couldn't take part in the boss, he was going to do the same to the next floor, he was sure of it! He had time to get stronger and stronger and stronger!
