Dora 0 Posted October 31, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2015 Isadora had been casing the joint for a few days now. She’d come to the weaponsmith’s place on several occasions over the last few days under the guise of possibly purchasing a new two handed battle axe. For the most part, the smith kept his items under lock and key. The more expensive items were housed within display cases or along the wall behind the main shop counter. There were sets of small knives and daggers upon velvet display boxes that were kept out, and while they weren’t really worth all that much, she knew she could resell the items to another smith to be melted down for materials. That always was enough to get her a hot meal, and she was in dire need of one; it’d been more than two days since her last. Her stomach was in knots and a simmering boil. Although she didn’t require the sustenance to survive, the craving for food in any form was insatiable and only disappeared after having eaten. The game makers had been very cruel in this aspect. Once more Dora walked along the rows of display cases carefully eyeing the shopkeeper and his companions making sure they were too busy with customers or other work, so that they would not notice the tiny brunette swiping all she could from them. The fat, bald smith, who was closest to her, was busy talking to a large bearded gnome; they seemed to be haggling over the price of a rather heavy hammer. She turned her head from the left, and then slowly back to the right, her dark chocolate brown eyes darting about watching for anyone else that might be suspicious of her activities and found that she was in the clear. Her tiny hand slowly reached out for a small brass dagger that sat on the blue velvet pillow before her.
Lowenthal 0 Posted October 31, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 31, 2015 Lowenthal walked into yet another blacksmithy. He'd been to so many blacksmith's today, trying to find a new kunai to replace his own. No other smiths had the same, charm, as Oikawa did with his weapons. He held the small, jet black kunai in his hand enjoying the feel of it. It was sharp, as expected from any weapon. It was oversized, thanks to the game's design of them. The handle was wrapped with a red cord, possibly rope. Anyway, he had made it with the wrong enhancements at the time. And he needed a new one made, one that dealt more damage than the one he had.As he walked in, he could instantly notice what was going on. Whilst the mediocre blacksmith was talking with someone else, a small child had been trying to filch something of value. Lowenthal smirked and crouched down behind her. "So,why are we hunched over?" Lowenthal whispered, intending to at the least startle her.
Dora 0 Posted November 2, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted November 2, 2015 Just as Isadora’s tiny fingers were about to wrap around the blade’s handle, someone spoke behind her causing the small girl to jump. Instantly Dora whipped about and came face to face with a ginger haired man. “I wasn’t doing anything,” the little girl scoffed and looked away from the man as she folded her arms across her little chest. Her round little cheeks instantly went beet red. She was caught and she knew it, but she was not about to let on that she had been thinking of stealing despite whatever correct conclusion the man had. Her large round eyes shifted back to his face and she huffed loudly.“Don’t you have something better to do than harass little girls, mister?” Maybe if she made him feel like a creepy skeezer, he would leave her alone. It’d worked in the past. No decent man wanted to be a suspect pedobear.
Lowenthal 0 Posted November 4, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 4, 2015 Lowenthal nodded his head to her response. "Not doing anything at all?" Lowenthal chuckled. It was quite obvious that she was trying to swipe the dagger, but whatever for. It didn't matter to Lowenthal her reasons. And if anything, this was something fun to do besides the whole 'killing mobs' motif that SAO was forced into. Other than the whole 'bring down a crime syndicate' with Opal, his life was getting fairly boring. "I probably do have better things to do." Lowenthal agreed. "Don't you have bigger plans than filching cheap daggers?" Lowenthal counter questioned.
Dora 0 Posted November 5, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted November 5, 2015 The man told her he did indeed have things he ought to get to, but he did not move. He decided to ask the same of her and wondered if she had some great plans other than stealing cheap daggers. At this, Isadora smiled widely. “I have a great many plans, but I need that dagger to sell so I can get a hot meal. Something like that usually gets me dinner and if it’s not too sucky, I can get dessert too!” Dora beamed. She loved sweets.
Lowenthal 0 Posted December 30, 2015 #6 Share Posted December 30, 2015 Lowenthal chuckled. "So, you were planning on stealing. Naughty naughty." Lowenthal joked. He sighed when she said that she was looking for something hot to eat. Lowenthal looked up at the man still conversing. "You should at least have someone bigger than you blocking the view. Then you could borrow more things." Lowenthal said, standing up and turning his back to the girl, and shielding her with his body.
