[SP-F1] Solo Hunting expedition 2

"Well then, here I am yet again, walking alone on the field full of Wolves and Boars. Whatever happened to "I need to find a hunting partner"?  Oh well, I guess I just can't fit in with anyone." Nobuyuki shrugged, talking to himself as he planned out the second solo hunting he had done.  Walking around on the empty field, he pondering about what's it like on the upper floor, or the front lines. There are people working extra hard to get to the next floor, and so should he. Nobuyuki kept that in mind as he trained long and hard everyday. Ever since the party between Kouromi and Axel has broke up, Nobuyuki haven't found the courage to face any other strangers, and would mostly rather to be by himself. Self reliance is a good thing to have, but in this death game, surviving is the number one priority, and he didn't wanted to die just yet.

While talking to himself, Nobuyuki has accidentally left himself vulnerable for an easy attack, and so he did. From behind, a Wolf leaped into the air, and pushed him down onto the ground. Fallen face first, Nobuyuki stood up, looking at the wolf angrily. "Backstabbing is not... Nice." He muttered in his breath, as he drew his sword, readied to attack.

Nobuyuki ran up, ignoring the charging face and swing his sword at the wolf. Even though the sword swung missed, the wolf tripped on his own footing, and fell onto its back. Nobuyuki jumped back to create distance between him and the wolf. Calculating his next move, he stand still, looking at the wolf for possible way to kill it.

Nobuyuki gripped his sword tightly and charged into the wolf full speed. Her swung his sword at an angle, hit the wolf in the mid section. Another consecutive slash cut the wolf at the same angle. It fell onto the ground and died before it could even land an attack back on Nobuyuki. Sheathed his sword, he walked away, looking for more monster to hunt down.

While going on the hunt, Nobuyuki tried his best to keep out of the way of too many monsters and attacked them one at a time. That tactic seemed to helped him so far, but sometimes, he could get blindsight by another one, and was put into a two on one. Gradually, since he is level 4, killing those bastard's isn't a problem. But as the level of the mobs increase, it's going to bite him back one day. So he needed to be extra careful, he told himself repeatedly. Through out the days in Ain Crad, he had seen people died. Although it wasn't as horrifying and dramatizing, he knows for a fact that they are dead in real life, and that fact scared him sometimes.

While walking, he found a goblin, standing all alone. Drew his sword and run for it, Nobuyuki tried to surprise it with an attack. Although he failed to caught the Goblin with the surprise element, he did landed his attack. Nobuyuki swung his sword in a wide uppercut arch. The sword went through the goblin's body, killing it in an instance. What Nobuyuki failed to recognize also, is there are another Boar and Wolf just below the hill, and both of them got aggro by Nobuyuki.

The Wolf attacked first. It launched itself toward the warrior. Nobuyuki, with all the fighting experience, stepped aside, and slice the sword through the wolf with a cut in a diagonal. Quickly turned his sword and made another cut downward. The horizontal slash was quick enough to hit the wolf mid air, as Nobuyuki come facing with the Boar. It charged at him with a fast pace, but Nobuyuki was fast enough to dodged aside of its pointy husk. Stood up onto the grass, he now change focus onto the boar, waiting for the next move.

Nobuyuki waited for the boar to move, then swing his sword in a wide vertical arc. The hit however missed because of the terrain. His sword instead chipped through the grasses, as the boar charged at him. It rammed him in the stomach Tumbling down the hill, Nobuyuki fell onto his back. The pain from the fall wasn't as hurt as he would've felt in real life, but nonetheless, he still felt some pain. Stood up, he saw the wolf running toward him. It bit him in the aim, but Nobuyuki managed to shook it off. Standing still, he looked as both of them turning back to face him. He charged in and cut the wolf again. The vertical slash was enough to bring the wolf down this time.

Nobuyuki focused on the movement of the boar, as he side stepped it attack. The boar overshot itself, and when it turned around, Nobuyuki leaped toward the beast and tried to attack the monster. The beast moved aside, and before it could attack, Nobuyuki jumped back, created distance between the two. "Crap! Bite a little bit more than I can chew. Gotta be careful now, My health bar is at yellow. If I'm not careful, this might be the final nail in my coffin." He thought as he slowly proceed in the battle.

"Just two hit, and it should kill it. Just two..." Nobuyuki tell himself as he lunged at the boar. But unfortunately, while focusing too hard onto the Boar, he didn't notice a rock on the battlefield. It was covered with moss, and Nobuyuki tripped onto it and rolled back down the hill. Ironically, that mistake he made saved him from suffering another hit, as the moment he fell, the boar attacked. It missed the attack, and slid down the like him. Stumbling to get up, he grabbed his long sword and readied. The ground is balanced, so Nobuyuki shouldn't making another mistake.

Nobuyuki waited for the boar to make his move, before struck his glowing sword down for a strike. The boar was stopped mid way, as the sword collided with it's head. Jumped back, Nobuyuki stood the same pose as before, and readied to attack again. The boar was dazed with the attack, but shook it off and faced toward Nobuyuki direction. He check around to see he's in risk of another monster aggro on him. It didn't seem very likely.

While Nobuyuki scanned around the battlefield for any sign of another monster, he forgot about the intimate threat in front of him. Suddenly, he felt a jolt of pain in his stomach. The boar had charged at him, and thrust its sharp husk into his stomach. Groaned in pain, Nobuyuki fell down onto his knee. He could see his health bar depleted to the red zone. "Is this where I'm going to die. Killed by a stupid boar. No, that's ridiculous!" He thought, slowly stood back up onto his feet. Focused on only the wild pig, he decided that the next hit cannot be a miss.

"No. It cannot end like this. Not like this. NO!" Nobuyuki subconscious mind shouted, as he sprang up from his feet. The boar has already made it way near him, and was about to ended his life. With a quick step backward, He ducked aside, then raised his sword and struck down onto the pig. The sword glowed a bright blue light, as it cut through the pig's body. It fell onto the ground and shattered. Panting hard from the adrenaline rush, Nobuyuki could feel his head gotten light. He decided it's enough for today and would returned to Horunka village near by to rest, and enjoy the fresh air.

Returned to Horunka Village, Nobuyuki lied flat on an empty wooden bench and rested his sore body. He just need a rest, and then, the warrior can get back up and return to the normal hunting routines. "Would it be better if I have a partner to watch my back?" He asked himself while laying on the bench. "My health dropped to the red zone again. That's twice this week. If it keeps up like this, I doubt that I'd be able to survive." Nobuyuki placed his hands on his forehead and think. Where in this heavenly hell is he going to find someone that's willing to follow him, or even agreed to. "It's hard to go alone, but it's the price have to paid when you cant make any friends." Nobuyuki blamed himself.lost in his own thoughts, Nobuyuki fell asleep before he even knew it.

The night passed by quickly. When Nobuyuki woke up, the sun is still rising. He sat on the bench, enjoying the warmth of dawn. While sitting on the wooden bench in town square, his mind began to rambling again. "I missed mo and dad. I wonder if they have heard about the news of the NearveGear yet? What's Hanzo doing right now?" He wondered. Stood up from his seat and walk around Horunka village. Ha have been here before, yet this place still feel strange to him. Decided not to waste time, Nobuyuki went to the market and bought himself a quick snack. With that, he wait for a while, enjoying his breakfast and went back to the grass field.

Nobuyuki soon returned to the grassland to search for more monsters he could destroy. One from below the hills caught him off guard. The wolf leaped up and tried to bite him by the shoulder. With a simple push, Nobuyuki knocked the beast off path, while it's still struggling to get up, he threw a vertical slash down onto the wolf. The sword landed it mark, dealing a chunk of damage to the wolf.

While Nobuyuki waited for his sword art to charge, the wolf strike first. It lunged toward him and aimed for the shoulder once again. Luckily, Nobuyuki was fast enough to rolled out of the way. Once he got up, the warrior charge in for an attack. The sword missed and the wolf jumped aside. He fell back to create some distance between the two.

"This should be easy enough." Nobuyuki said to himself, as he charged toward the wolf. As his sword struck down onto the wolf, it missed and instead hit the ground. The shock of the instant stop blasted back to Nobuyuki's hand, as he slipped and lose his blade. The wolf got him this time, jumped onto him and took a good bite onto Nobuyuki's shoulder. He pushed the wolf off, and reclaimed his sword. "Ok... Got a little bit ahead of myself. Just need to focus." He cursed himself for the mistake.

Focused on the movement of the Wolf, Nobuyuki predicted the movement of the beast and act corresponding to the incoming thread. The wolf tried to chomp on his foot, so Nobuyuki took a step back, and thrush his sword into the wolf's torso. It fell onto the ground and died, shattered into thousands of pieces. Put his sword back into the sheath, the warrior moved on to find another one.

"There it is. Another stray monster." Nobuyuki thought, looking at a Goblin walking alone. He ran toward the goblin, his hand position below his hip. The goblin notice him running toward him, raised its sword for an attack. But before he can land it, Nobuyuki swung his sword upward, landed a devastating uppercut onto the Goblin. The monster knocked back onto it's back, and died. The thing shattered into pieces, as Nobuyuki sheathed his sword. "Heh, easy kill." He chuckled, continue on the hunt.
