The girl's sad, yellow eyes opened to the sight of a small round table in front of her, an empty chair across from her. She had her hand wrapped around a small porcelain cup that contained a brown liquid.. most likely tea. She opened her menu for the fifth time while sitting in this cafe to see if she had any reply. None. She let out a heavy sigh when she pretty much realized she would not be coming. Jevi had taken the initiative, and Opal's advice, to message Shaya and try and get her to meet up with her to talk about her absence. Just as the past few times, however, she got no reply. The girl was heartbroken, but instead of sadness, it just resulted in anger towards others.. which she truly resented. It would seem as though for the day, she would be drinking this tea alone.

Jevi had spent the past couple of weeks mostly in seclusion, leaving her shop maybe for one or two things, but mostly keeping out of contact of people. Her skills were rusty, and she was sure her blade and armor would be rusty if the game allowed such a thing. At the moment, Jevi simply wore her orange starter clothes and did not hold her Izunami at her waist. After finishing the tea in the cafe, Jevi decided to take a small walk through the town before heading back up to Floor Five to her shop.

The purple haired player stopped dead in her tracks, her brow furrowed and turned from a face of sadness to determination. No.. she would not sit here and rot away because the ones she cared about would not contact her. She was not going to be the only player left moping around on Floor One alone. She needed to get back into the swing of things. Jevi clenched her fist, determined to find some sort of quest to help her get back on track.

The girl quickly made her way through the town with her menu open, searching for nearby quest givers. Didn't seem like there were many in the immediate area. As she turned the street corner, not paying attention, she walked straight into another person, knocking some of the items she held in a bag onto the ground. Watch where you're going! is what Jevi thought, and wanted to say.. but she knew she needed to change that. ~"... Are you okay? I'm sorry."

Y-yes I am fine. The woman said as she knelt over to pick up some of the things that fell out of her bag. Jevi picked up soon enough that the woman was actually not a player, but an NPC. She also noticed the woman seemed to be picking up various bottles containing potions and other medicines. ~"Oh, are you a alchemist? Or a doctor?"

No.. The woman said, sadly. i just purchased these from the shops down here.. they are for my daughter. The woman sounded terribly distraught, her daughter really must not have been doing well. Jevi gave the woman a soft smile, ~"Please, let me help you bring the medicine to your home.. seems like you're trying to hold quite a lot."

The woman gave Jevi a confused face, and then nodded, handing her the other bag.

I live in the next town over, in Horunka. Jevi nodded and followed after the woman to her home, where her sick daughter awaited the goods their held onto. The trip was not a long one, and not a dangerous one either. For the most part, the boars and wolves left the two women alone as they walked the path between the two towns.

Eventually, Jevi and the mother found themselves in the small, forest town of Horunka. There were not many buildings at all; only about two or three of them being shops or inns. The mother led Jevi into her house where they found a young girl laying in the bed. She had a wet cloth draped over her head, and the blankets pulled up to her neck. Jevi frowned as she placed the bags on the floor next to the bed, where the mother sat.

Immediately, the mother began to mix together different potions and medicines, giving them to the girl in an attempt to heal her condition. However, not a single one of the apothecary items had any effect on the girl's ailments. The mother placed her face in her hands and let out a sad, heavy sigh. Jevi looked away and rubbed at her arm, not sure what to do or say.

Its hopeless... the mother said, almost breaking into tears.. Theres only one more thing I have not tried, but I am no way capable of doing it.

Jevi crouched down next to the mother, ~"What is it? Maybe I could help.."

The mother picked her face out of her hands and looked at the purple haired girl, a slimmer of hope in her eyes. In the forests to the west of here.. there are creatures that create the ingredients I need that will hopefully cure my daughter. I don't know any warriors personally who would be able to go out there.. but.. if you could.. Immediately after saying this, a small gray box appeared in front of Jevi. On it, it stated: Secret Medicine of The Forest. Accept? or Decline? Jevi accepted the quest, ~"Don't worry. I'll be back before you know it."

Upon exiting the small house, Jevi lifted her hand to open her inventory. Scrolling through the items she had, she equipped her Desert Hawk armor as well as Opal's old sword, Izunami. She stretched her shoulders and smirked, it felt good to be wearing this old armor again. She checked her map to see just how far the forests to the west of Horunka were, and once she found out they were not that far she closed her menu and immediately set off in that direction. This would be the start in bringing Jevi back to Aincrad.

Soon, the fields around Jevi became heavily packed with trees and foliage, cutting off most of the light in the area. Before going on any further, Jevi quickly examined her surroundings to see what type of enemies would be in her immediate area. When she saw there was nothing, she drew the Izunami from her waist and held it in her hands. The sword felt slightly heavier than she remembered, but that may have only been because of the lack of action within the past month. According to her quest information, the forests here contained enemies known as Little Nepents.. which were a plant like monster. The one she needed to take out was slightly larger, and had a red flower in full bloom on its head.

Out of the corner of her eye, Jevi noticed some movement.. which caused her to spin and look at what was over there. She spotted a large plant-like creature that walked using root like tentacles. From its lower body, two long stems flailed outwards with leaves on the end. The rest of its body took an odd shape, with large human like lips and teeth, and no eyes. On top of its head were two small petals. ~"No flower on this one.. might as well take it out though." Jevi said as she approached the monster, holding her sword at the ready. The Little Nepent turned to look at Jevi as she walked towards it, its mouth opening and a large tongue hanging out.

Jevi glared up at the large ugly creature as saliva dripped from its lips and tongue at the sight of the armored girl. A pretty disgusting sight she had to admit. She hoped to take the monster out quickly so she would not need to look at its ugly mug for much longer. Bringing her sword over her hear, Jevi vertically sliced Izunami at the Little Nepent. With a strange laugh, the plant crawled around the sword and used its two leafy arms like whips to attack Jevi. She let out a yelp as it used one of its arms to sweep Jevi off of her feet, and the other to crash into her body as she laid on the ground.

~"Tch, bastard." Jevi mumbled under her breath as she pushed herself up off of the ground after being attacked. How dare she be made a fool of by a Floor One monster.. or.. had she really gotten that weak from fighting? Jevi shook off the thought, could not have any outside distractions during this quest. She spun the Izunami in her hand, charging up a Sword Skill this time. Lunging forward, Jevi used her Reaver skill, her blade connecting with the enemy as she used a vertical cut.

The purple haired girl smirked as her attack landed, dealing a decent amount of damage with that critical hit to the Little Nepent. The monster walked backwards slightly to recover from the hit before snarling at Jevi, grinding its huge white teeth together. It whipped one of its tentacle leaves once again at Jevi, which connected with her armor. Not only did the attack not cause any significant damage to the girl, but the Little Nepent let out another pained roar, and its HP bar dropped another chunk. Jevi had nearly forgotten about the thorns enhancement she placed on her armor. ~"Didnt like that, did you!" she yelled out as she stepped forward, using her Raver skill once again to finish the plant creature off.

Jevi let out a sigh of relief as the Little Nepent vanished into a sea of white crystals. Her armor really saved her back there.. for the monster's attacks would most likely have done a lot more damage to her if she was not wearing it. ~"Well, that one did not have the flower on its head.. looks like I'll have to keep searching.." Jevi said to herself, placing her hands on her hips and scanning the area once again. She wondered if there were any other types of Nepents out here in the forest aside from those and the one with the flower on it. She hoped they were not much more powerful.. though it would be more fun for her to fight something that was a challenge.

The girl began to walk forward through the forest again in search of this rare flower-headed monster. She kept spotting the large bodied monsters off in the distance, but none of them containing any more than one of two leaves like the last one she had just encountered. Maybe the Flower Nepent would only come into light when a bunch of its lower leveled friends were taken out, as did some of the higher leveled field bosses on the higher floors. She spun Izunami in her hand, considering the thought of taking on those Little Nepents one by one. Loud rustling in the bushes behind her caused her to turn around quickly, to spot another Little Nepent closing on her position quickly. On its head, was not a lear, but a stem connected to a large, fruit like ball. Could this be the one with the flower she was looking for?
