(Quest)

Rewards:
<<The Hoya of Minos>> (The sought out gift for weddings, dates and birthdays)
You will gain 2 Skill Point

This quest is only available on the 3rd floor in the Forest of Wavering Mist

Deep within the Forest of Wavering Mist, from which screams emanate every night, lays in wait a precious pendant inside the stone tomb of King Minos according to rumors. All who trek in the search for this jewel beware the denizens of this forest, the twin level 10 Minotaur's awaiting on opposite entrances of the tomb, and the maze the forest itself creates. Many either fall to the one of the two Minotaur's or are lost forever in the maze. Good luck my children.

Minotaur's Stats: 45 HP, minimum 24 damage on a hit (you can raise the damage to add difficulty though the reward is the same)

(Only one of the Minotaur's needs to be fought, not both.)

This RP will not count in the benchmark

Requirement: RP must be at least 1-2 pages long  (21 or more posts)

Parties and Guilds are permitted for this Quest but only one can take the reward

P.S. The Pendant of Hoya changes form every time someone does the quest so it has a variety of appearances, though it always remains a pendant.

Ebony inwardly let out a sigh of relief. It seemed like she had made up for her bragging with her apology. Now Zandra wanted to go on a quest though, something that they had both just agreed probably wasn't a great idea. Ebony had no idea as to the girls strength or level, but it was probably safe to assume that it was much higher than Ebony's. Which meant that the woman could take her on an extremely high level quests and pretty much ditch her, leaving her to her death. But Ebony couldn't turn her down, especially after all of her bragging. Besides that reason, Ebony knew that she needed to be more trusting. "All right." The excitement from earlier, when she had suggested they go fight mobs, was coming back slowly. Even if the fight took a long time, she would have fun during that time. She smiled from a combination of Zandra's sayin they were awesome, and excitement for the coming adventure.

Zandra was glad that Ebony accepted her request about going on a quest, even when they both was support. This was gonna be interesting for sure.''Nice. Well, the quest Im talking about is at floor three in the forest of wavering mist. There should be a jewel in a tomb deep inside the forest. Thats what Ive herd. Also its on floor three so the enemy cant be that hard to kill right?'' then she remebered, floor level just gave a hint about difficulty, a quest on like floor two could be much more dangerous then one on floor eight. Not likely but possible.''Also, Ive herd partys of low levels have completed it. Then two mid-level support players should made it with no problem. Shall we go?'' She sent after sending one friend and one party request to the girl infront of her.

Ebony nodded, tapping the accept button on both requests. She didn't normally accept friend requests so readily, but this was an exception. "I barely do any damage, but i'll do my best." She said, hoping that what Zandra was saying about parties of low levels beating it. She didn't want to die just yet. If she was going too die she wanted to die protecting her closest friends. She wanted it to be meaningful. Ebony assumed that the fact that they were going on a quest meant that she could put her equipment back on without looking like she was showing off. She tapped some buttons on her HUD and equipped her armor, dagger, and charm. The wooden rose was hung around her neck on a silver chain.

Ebony accepted both of Zandras requests. That made her glad so she gave the brunette a friendly smile. It seemed she was wrong about her, again. She pitied hrself for doing low damage."Dont wrry about that." She opened up her menu to choose what equipment to use. First of all, her Holy Riata. A few clicks later it materalised on her waist. It was a chain whip with a wooden handle. The whip itself was a chain with small spikes on the chain-liks. At the tip was a spikeycross. Next was her ice braclet. Up until now, she havent used it at all, there havent been any needs to heal anyone. Lastly, what armour should she pick. She liked her new Holy armour of the eagle. But she needs to spend some skill points to make her able to withstand hits. Now it only increased her abiliry to evade. So she picked her long trusted armour of the northern ice-dragon."Im not as strong as the other high and medium leveled players, but I guess about what Ive herd about them, I should be able to take them out in two or three hits. But every damage count, so dont think you can stand back and slacking when Im reducing its health bar." She said the last words with a wink to make sure Ebony understood she was just kidding.

Ebony gave Zandra a little smile back before opening up her inventory and making an impulsive decision to spend those skill points she'd been saving on her dagger skills. Hopefully that would help give her an edge in this quest. Better safe than sorry. She could always upgrade her armor skills another time. She glanced over the two new sword arts newly available to her. They would certainly be helpful, but she doubted that she would be reaching the same damage output as Zandra was likely to. When she looked back up, Zandra was decked out in her own equipment. She swiped her menu away and looked over the equipment Zandra was wearing. She had a spiky whip on her belt, and some awesome looking armor on as well as a bracelet. Ebony didn't know about the whip or the armor, but she felt that as a fellow healer the bracelet probably gave some sort of combat craft enhancement. "I'm all set to go if you are." She didn't know how to mention that she didn't know where this forest place was, so she just didn't even mention it. She could follow Zandra.

It seemed that Ebony was ready to head out for the quest now.''Im ready as well. Lets start with heading to floor three.'' Zandra took the lead when heading out thru the door and started walking towards the warp-gate plaza. Her metal-clad feets making footprints in the snow, that never seemed to stop falling.''So, why did you decided to open up your shop here, on floor four? Myself I did because in the real world, I was living in Sweden.'' she took a pause, thinking about the time before she entered this death-game.''In Sweden we had pertty long winters, and every winter there was never less then two feet deep snow outside. When I was a kid I made several snowmens, snow fort to have snow ball fig...'' she suddenly turned quiet, looking down in the snow. After that Zandra didnt spoke a word until they was at the plaza.''I can head in first, I'll wait outside on the other side for you.''her smile had disapeared and her voice sounded almost a little sad. She took a few steps into the gate.''Delilah village!'' A blue shine appeared and a second later she was at the warp gate plaza at floor three.

Ebony followed Zandra out into the snow. Zandra asked her why she'd chosen the fourth floor, but then continued on recounting some of the things she'd done as a kid. It didn't seem right to interrupt, and when Zandra was finished, Ebony noted the sad look on her face. She judged it best to just keep silent. The truth of the matter was that Ebony simply thought that the fourth floor was the most beautiful. The white snow, the bright sunlight, it was her kind of place. She had known since she had started the <<Earning a Living>> quest that she wanted her shop on the fourth floor, and had therefore headed straight there to find a place to set up shop. She stepped into the gate a few moments after Zandra and called out the name of the place they were apparently headed. "Delilah Village." She called out, feeling a bit stupid. She always felt a bit dumb standing in the middle of a plaza and shouting out the name of a place. Imagine habits like this became so ingrained in them that when they got back to the real world, they would head into a plaza and call out their street address to try and teleport home. And then realize that they were in the real world.

Zandra saw girl exit the teleportation gate just a few moments after that she herself ahd exited it. She streetched her arms high in the air to soften up her body.''So, now we are at the right floor. To complete the quest we need to...'' she opened up her menu. After a few swipes a small book appeared in her left hand.''This is the guide book, made by beta testers and information brokers. Its very handy. Ive used it coutless of times. Mostly to find out where and how to do quests.'' she opened to book, turned from page to page until she found the right one.''Her it is.'Search for the Hoya.' So, what we need to do is to find King Minos tomb, and there we should find a jewel. But the tomb is guarded by two minotaurs. But the big challenge is the forest itself that is like a maze.'' she said, closed the book and putted it back in her inventory.

Ebony nodded to Zandra as she started talking about the guide book. It was a resource that she hadn't used often, she usually just accompanied others on quests, or got her information from messaging friends. Maybe she had been being a little bit lazy, but so far it had been working for her. Still, maybe she should use it more to avoid pestering her friends too much. "I don't like quests with mazes and puzzles. I prefer the ones that are straightforwards. So just to give you fair warning, I'm terrible with puzzles and mazes." Ebony said to Zandra before checking her own inventory. Yup, she already had a guidebook there. She would make sure to use it later on, in fact, it probably gave advice on builds too. "I think we should just enter the maze and wander around till we find the tomb." Ebony suggested.

Zandra listened to Ebony and it seemed she didnt liked mazes and puzzle quests. Zandra on the other side, had been doing so many 'kill that mob that many times' she have gotten tired of them. Thou it was different in SAO. But so far she havent realy found any puzzle quest. It seemed this was gonna be great. Hope she could awaken an interest of puzzle quests for the brown-haired girl. Zandra scratched her neck.''Well, maybe they arent as exciting as defeating mobs quests, but in the other hand, when you complete them, it gives you a special feeling. Of course we could just wander around if you prefer that. But there often is alot of small signs that gives clues to which way to go. Lets start with going to the border of the forest shall we?''

Ebony thought that Zandra's advice was really good. "My only experience with mazes are those ones on paper that you get as a kid." She admitted. And she'd never even tried other puzzles or games based around puzzles. "I dont have much experience with any of that, but they dont sound like fun." She could be wrong though, maybe she would find herself enjoying them. "All right." She said in agreement to her suggestion that they go to the border of the forest. She didn't have and map info for the third floor, so she couldn't use that useful trick Zelrius had shown her where you selected the quest and the map showed you the direction of that quest. It appeared that she would have to rely on Zandra to lead the way again.

By some reason it didnt seemed like the other support girl wanted to take the initiative and lead the way. So guessed she didnt knew where to go and then didnt wanted to be the one making them get lost. Or that was what Zandra thougth, she could be wrong.''Well, Im dont know where the forest is exactly. But awhile ago I was planning on doing this quest alone. Back then I was way weaker then now. I asked aoround and a player pointed the direction, but he also warned me about it. Im realy thankful to him today. Maybe I wouldnt have been here if I havent given me the warning.'' After that, Zandra turned around and started walk in the direction she thougth that player pointed out for her for so many weeks ago.

It seemed like the first challenge they would have to overcome would be actually finding the quest location. Zandra seemed to have an idea of the direction they were supposed to go, which was way more than Ebony had. She walked beside Zandra, discreetly watching for mobs that might attack them. They continued walking for a while and Ebony started to see an outline in the distance that looked to be a forest. She couldn't quite tell from the distance they were at, but she pointed at it anyway. "Do you think thats it?" She asked, squinting.

The two girls have been walking for awhile when Ebony suddenly points at a shape in the distance, quite a far way to the right of where they was going at the moment.''Well, I think your right Ebony. That could possibly be the forest of wavering mist.'' The healers turned and headed towards the new destination.''Good that you held an eye out, I totally missed that.'' Now when they was getting closer they saw that Ebony had been right. That must be the forest of wavering mist. When they was at the border they stopped.''So, are you ready? When we puts our feets in there we dont know if when we gonna come out, if we gonna come out.'' she didnt wanted to scare the girl. But this was a death game, and some things you must think of a second time. You cant just rush into everything, thinking your invincible. But from her short experienced with Ebony, she could tell she was a clever girl, and had probably already thinked this thru several times, but Zandra wanted to ask anyway.

Ebony grinned at the compliment, and also at how Zandra asked her if she was ready. "Of course. I'd rather make the decision to do this now then spend the rest of my time in the game wondering if I made the right decision. It might be a bit selfish, but I'd rather have my answer." She spoke explaining her motives in a friendly voice. She unsheathed her dagger once she was finished talking. Who knew when they would get attacked once they entered.

A smile grew on Zandras face when she herd the answer.''Alright then, lets go find that minotaurs and show them that they should fear they should not underestimate support characters.'' When she saw Ebony unsheathed her dagger, Zandra took the Holy Rinata in her hand instead of having  it hanging on her waist. With a last glance on Ebony she headed into the forest. Looking after signs anywhere.''Well, actually I have a secret weapon so to say. Zita!'' First it was quiet, Zandra looked up at the sky. Then they herd a cry thru the air. A few seconds later the creature that have made the sound appeared. It seemed to be an golden eagle.''This is Zita. My familiar.'' She said to Ebony when the bird landed on Zandras shoulder. Then she looked at the eagle.''Hey there. How are you doing? I want you to meet Ebony here.'' Zandra said and pointed at the other girl. The eagle looked at Ebony as well and let out another cry. Like for saying 'hello, nice to meet you'.''This gonna make things alot easier for us.'' she said to Ebony. Then turned back her attention to the eagle.''We are looking for a tomb guarded by two minotaurs, could you fly up high and find it for us?'' A third cry was herd and the eagle lifted, flutter with its big gracious wings.

Ebony liked Zandra's attitude. It was certainly true that supports shouldn't be underestimated as well. Even more so, you should never insult your party's healer, because you never know if they might forget to heal you when you needed it most. Of course, Ebony would never do something like that, she felt that standing around while someone died and she could do something about it was the same as killing that person herself. She gave the eagle that flew down a little wave after it let out a cry directed at her. It was a beautiful, majestic creature, and Ebony could certainly see how it might help them out. "So it will will come back and tell us what direction to head?" She asked, using it instead of he or she as she didn't know the birds gender and didn't want to somehow insult Zandra by messing it up.

Zandra watched the her dear friend fly away. Then Ebony asked her how the eagle could help them.''Nope she wont. She is very good at finding stuffs and locations, it usualy dosent take more then five minutes before she finds it. And when she finds it she is letting out a lou...'' Suddenly her voice was interrupted by the now familiar cry.''Oh that went faster then I thougth hehe. Come on, lets kill some cows.'' she winked at Ebony and started to run towards the direction where the cry had came from. Her heart started to beat faster of exitment, she was finally gonna try out her chain-whip. The only time before it had done anything was against a dark elf with only twelve health. It killed it instantly, but this would be a fight to be able to test the different sword arts better.

Ebony nodded in understanding and then ran along behind Zandra until they came to a clearing with what seemed to be a temple in the center. That had been surprisingly easy to find, all thanks to Zandra's eagle familiar. Still, there was just one problem, and that was the Minotaur that was standing in front of the entrance, holding an gigantic sword in his hand. The other one wasn't there, which led Ebony to come to the conclusion that it was patrolling the forest. She waited for Zandra to take the lead before doing anything.

The two girls arrived at the temple where the tomb was. Infont of the entrance they saw an obstacle, a big minotaur. It seemed Ebony was waiting for her to make a move. She blushed a little that the newly met girl believed in her so much. She knew she cant let her down then. Without hesitation she held her arm behind her head, the metal cross hanging in a spikey chain from the handle behind her back.''Hello there cow, here I am!'' She said when charging up her sword art. When she felt the sword art had charged up she felt an increadible power, she have almost never felt this feeling, she felt alot more powerful. Her shining chain whip first flew in a diagonal across the minotaurs chest, then another diagonal forming a cross. Taken by total surprise, the minotaur syumbled back afew steps and lost its oppotunity to attack.''There Ebony, your turn!'' she said to the brunette. In the same time they herd something in the bushes, a few seconds later there was another minoatur. Darn it, I had hoped we would be able to take this one down before going on to the next one. Seems not.
