(PP-F2) Punching Rocks <<Breaking The Unbreakable>> (Ebony) COMPLETE!

Recommended Posts

Ebony was so busy looking at Manta to make sure that she was doing all right that her next punch missed the rock entirely, sending her falling forwards due to the momentum of her fist. She got back up and smiled over to Manta. "Come on Manta. It won be much longer now and then we can go do something fun. Maybe look through the requests and find a duel one?" She suggested, trying to cheer her friend up.

Manta smiled and looked over at Ebony. She felt a little better now, after the rest and Ebony's words of reassurance. "All right. Lets keep doing this and get that paint off of your face." She said before punching the rock again. They were certainly doing damage, and that crack from before was gradually starting to widen. "We're almost there.

Ebony smiled back at Manta and took a swing at the rock, missing. She opened her mouth to talk to Manta. "How about we both just pretend like we havent been missing this rock. You dont tell anyone about me, and I wont tell anyone about you." She said, grinning. She felt like she had done a good job of cheering Manta up. Now it was time to go back to hitting this rock.

Manta nodded to Ebony. So this would stay their secret. She felt a little better about missing before, but she would make sure not to do it again. If they kept missing, how would they ever break the rock? She swung a punch at the rock and fell forwards, just like Ebony had a few moments earlier. She got back up to her feet, keeping silent and hoping Ebony would ignore her fail.

Ebony did her best to ignore Manta missing, but while she managed to keep the laughter at bay she couldn't help the smile that had appeared on her lips. She made sure that she lined up her next punch very carefully, swinging her arm forwards and hitting the rock again. Time was passing and they couldn't afford to miss too many times more.

Manta drew back her arm and let a punch fly. She hit the rock, lowering it's health bar a good bit. "Just a few more times Ebony. And I'm taking you up on that offer you made earlier." She took a deep breath and widened her stance, preparing to punch it again once Ebony had had her turn. The sooner they broke this rock the better for both of them.

Ebony swung a punch at the rock, but slipped on some loose sand that was on the ground. She caught herself but her punch had been interrupted. She stepped back to give Manta her turn, doing her best to be cheerful. Like Manta had said, they were so close to finishing this, and they couldn't afford to quit trying now. Especially because she had those painted whiskers on her face.

Manta swung her own punch and missed as well. It was almost like the rock was trying to dodge them or something. Which was very obviously not the case as it hadn't moved one bit since they had started the quest. It was getting on her nerves, all of the missing she was dong. And it looked like it wasn't just her, Ebony was missing a fair amount as well.

Ebony smirked and punched at the rock, her fist connecting. She didnt know why it was so hard to hit the rock sometimes, and she felt like maybe a trick was being played on them. The more she thought about it the more she was certain that it was just their own fault for being terrible aims. Manta had missed once again, and she was starting to get frustrated once again.

The rock was definitely starting to break! There was a giant crack in it, and it's health bar was so low that it would likely only take three more hits at most. She could see the end of this quest approaching, and it made her smile. She punched straight forwards, her closed fist impacting with the rock once again. She felt sorry for the people who did this quest without damage potions.

Ebony was getting excited as well, but that excitement drained away as she missed yet again. There was definitely something up with this rock and she couldn't wait to break it into pieces and to get her reward. She stepped back a few feet to give Manta some more room as she seemed to be having a bit better luck than Ebony. Hopefully they could finish this soon and get out of here.

All of this missing was getting on her nerves. Was it a lack of skill on her part or was she just getting unlucky. Imagine of hits relied on a dice roll. That would be completely unfair when hitting a stationary rock. It was good that that wasn't the case though. Cause that would be terrible. She stepped back and motioned for Ebony to go first. Maybe she would have better luck.

Ebony let out a little growl and swung a fist at the rock again, impacting it again. There was so little health left, one more hit would be all that they needed to break it. She would show that NPC and earn an that extra skill. She backed up to give Manta the honors. "Go ahead. Please dont miss though." She begged. She didn't think she would be able to take it if one of them missed again.

Manta put all of her anger at this stupid rock into her next punch, her knuckles slamming into rock and causing it to chatter into pieces. Finally. It was over. A quest complete notice popped up in front of her, and she hit the accept button in awe. It was really strange how she had gotten the skill instead of Ebony. That didn't make her any less tired though, so Manta immediately started walking back to the town. She wasn't dealing with any more of this today. She wanted to go out and slice some mobs up to get her frustration out.

Ebony watched as the rock crumbled. She reached up to her face and felt the painted whiskers falling off. Thank goodness. It looked like Manta had gotten the skill, so everything had worked out. She hadn't really wanted it anyway. She looked up Manta walking off. She looked like she needed her space, so Ebony went out into the fields to collect some materials.
