Flints laughed and stood back with Antillian, assessing Tristan carefully before speaking, she was greatful for all the time she had been able to spend with him lately to get to know him, she was certainly warming up to him quickly. "Keep talking like that and you'll be stuck with me forever" she joked. Before Tristan could answer her she quickly charged at the same, poor soul she had been attacking all along, she stopped just short of it and leaped out at it, hacking and slashing at its arms and legs repeatedly till they burst into pixels, along with the darkened soul. She turned around growled at the remaining 7 souls, showing them that she was nothing to take lightly.

Tristan chuckled at seeing her attack with great bravado the soul and defeating it, which meant they showed progress, even growling at the enemies. He was honest and said "Keep growling like that at anything that threatens me and I just might have to be stuck with you forever." with a smile and a light chuckle, clearly happy to see that behaviour from her. There was also that they were doing some decent damage, which also made him happy. The enemies looked like they wanted to attack, but Tristan intervened from them attacking by slashing in a wide area with Hurricane again, blowing them back and dealing effectively scratch damage.

Flints looked out at the darkened souls who had just finished attacking Tristan. She blushed when he said he might have to be stuck with her forever. She didn't think he would have agreed with her. This made her become very red at the thought. "W-What's that supposed to m-mean.." She whispered nervously. She fumbled with her inventory and produced the last electrolyte she had. "I really need to start buying myself a surplus of these things..." She sighed and drank it quickly. "After I use up all my Ep, this is going to be a very drawn out battle...more than it already is.." She thought to herself.

Tristan only chuckled to her nervousness from the statement, then returned to the enemy at hand. He cracked his neck and readied himself to attack, then charged forward at the enemy with his spear to attack them and knocked them back again from the attack. Tristan sighed, as he wished the enemy would actually hit him more for the damage. Maybe he should get back into crafting again, since he could then rank up and when a high enough rank, debuff his own evasion so he is hit more. Crazy idea for most, but possible for him.

Flints watched curiously as Tristan sighed, she wondered what he thought about and if maybe the battle was frustrating him more than it actually should have, either way she was about done with all the hitting. She watched the darken souls curiously waiting for one to step out of the group, her quick movements and and spins left her swiping at it viciously till she couldn't attack anymore. She was out of energy but not of fire, she wanted to give this quest everything she had to prove herself, everything from her worth to her new found strength, Flints was proud of her power, it was starting to grow quickly, she felt like she was still not strong enough, but all in due time she would be a worthy adversary to anyone who dared to challenge her. She gave a small huff after her little display and lightly tugged Antillian's horns before fixing her hair, the wispy bangs of hers had fallen and covered her face a little, making her want to blow at it to get it out of the way. "And now we play the waiting game..." She whispered under her breath.

Tristan smiled at Flint's attack when it connected and dealt high damage, however she was out of energy now. Tristan considered maybe messaging friends who could help out for extra DPS if they hadn't already done the mission themselves to help it go by faster. Hoping the enemy would attack again, he used Howl to get their attention, but once again they cowered in fear instead, which only earnt a sigh aimed at the monsters by Tristan.

Flints stood back and sighed, she was waiting for everything to calm down, Tristan used howl again and all the souls practically scattered and hid from the noise, not wanting to challenge him. "This is hell, I'm trying so hard. but I feel like I'm still not strong enough for this quest. Not strong enough for..." She trailed off and looked at Tristan who looked a little troubled for whatever reason. She was tired. Flints had a lot happen lately, she tried her best to bounce back but she felt maybe this wasn't the quest at all, it was her being tired from everything that had happened prior to the quest. She looked down at her feet and quickly shook her head, trying yet again to bury the feelings that were haunting her. "I can do this..."

Tristan attacked with his weapon again the crowd of enemies, this time the blows connecting on the group and damaging them. He couldn't help but think that they could do with some support, and not the kind of support most associated with the word. First he was ganged upon by the enemy and attacked by each one, however the retaliatory damage was greater and he felt himself healing the damage, to which he cracked his neck as though taunting the enemy. Afterwards he decided to send some messages to people he knew for help in damage dealing.

Flints backed up from the commotion, covering her face a little and tensing up, she needed to come up with a game plan, she chuckled at the fact that she was actually thinking things through for once, something she usually did, but ever since she started SAO she had become more of the "ask questions later" sort of person. But this fight was one of the things she had to plan out, using all her energy left her open and sitting pretty while Tristan did all the work. Flints let out a long tired sigh. But she was happy none the less, because she was getting a rare opportunity. And most importantly, time to try and bond with Tristan, when he wasn't being pelted by Darkened souls and she wasn't whining like a child because she couldn't hit things.

Tristan decided to howl at the enemy to draw their attention, even if all it did was seemingly piss them off, yet once again back away so that they were still safe. For such dangerous foes, they were rather timid in actually attacking Tristan, which somewhat frustrated him as he just wanted the the monsters to attack him so they'd get damaged in retaliation. However he turned to Flints and said "Don't worry dear, to stop this dragging along I've sent some invites and they should hopefully coming later to deal some good dammage for us to get it done with.

Flints looked to Tristan and his words, she lowered her head and tried to hide the fact that she was upset that she wasn't good enough to defeat the enemies as his only back up, she swallowed hard and gave a sheepish smile. "Alright...sounds good..thanks.." She looked away and sighed quietly. "Ouch..there goes my ego" she thought. But with her poor energy and Tristan's begging to enemies to attack him so he could do damage by default made it seem only right that they would at least try to recruit Real DPS players. She didn't bother attacking. It would have been pointless. She listened to the sound of his howl, still shaking their world.

Tristan stroked Flints' arm as she came beside him and said "Don't worry about us needing some support. We're currently the smallest party even doing this quest, so at the moment far smaller a team than the other ones. Besides, It helps in Aincrad to know when you can do with some backup. I will just continue to do what I vowed to do, which is to protect you.". Tristan smiled and turned at the enemies, taunting them with Howl. This time they came full pet at him to attack, but only smacked into his shield and received damage as retaliation.

She was glad that they were losing health, even at a slow rate it would make them easier to take out in the end,

The only reason in fact that we're so casual about it is that my defence is so high that i can tank indefinitely basically, so am under no risk. Most don't have my level of power though, so they partied up so they could deal excessive damage to kill them before they could hit and potentially kill players. We're totally safe though.". Tristan ran forward and did a sweeping move with his spear, hitting several enemies for scratch damage.

Flints thought about what Tristan said, if it were true, other players that took on the quest were doing it and risking their lives, making giant parties and hoping for this best. Here she was, a party of two trying her best and being pampered by the fact that she had nothing to worry about with Tristan by her side, keeping her safe. She blushed a little and have a small nod. They were treating this casually. It was interesting to her once he put it into perspective. She grinned a bit when Tristan hit is mark and damaged the remaining enemies, hopefully it wouldn't be long now before she could take out another. She wanted to put as much force into her attack as possible, to make all their waiting worth it.

Tristan noted himself much as she did (not that he knew what she thought) that they were cruising this rather casually, without any real worry at all for consequence. It was rather amusing, since some of the other parties must be worrying their guts over the possible damage received from the enemy. From the flipside though, they could probably murder these enemies with great ease, while he had to damage them with what was commonly referred to as "Death by a thousand cuts", constantly whittling them down bit by bit. It wasn't help at all that the enemy seemed to have pitiful accuracy.

Flints took Tristan's attacking as another opening for her own attack, after waiting  so long she was at least going to try and put all that wasted time to use, she gracefully twirled around Tristan immediately after his attacking ended and found herself the darkened soul she had been hounding, she grinned wickedly and begin her unslaught. Tearing into the beast, within the third strike she stomped the ground and launched herself backwards into the air, striking with her claws then landing back besides Tristan in a handstand before crumbling to the ground. "Oops, I guess I overshot that one" she laughed making light of the dangerous situation showing just how comfortable she was, and how much she truely trusted Tristan with her life.

Tristan chuckled and smiled to Flints as she spoke after dealing a strong hit, nodding and saying "Oh well, at least we should be getting backup soon.". He in fact sent a message to Oikawa, a friend he was told was coming back from their retreat from fighting back to the fighting field. As an ex-Commandant of Azure Brigade and someone he enjoyed having a swimsuit duel with, he knew he could Oikawa the Faint. All he could do for now was wait and hope that the enemies would also hit him more than they did at present. Indeed, he was comfortable too as they were under no threat.

The message notification flashed repeatedly as the blonde prepped his furnace. Having half a mind to ignore the message, the blonde reluctantly opened it and scanned its contents. His eyes widened as he read over the challenge, that no doubt Tristan could handle, but would prefer some insurance for. A small grin found its way across his lips as he gathered his sword, Faint Edge, and set his materials aside for crafting later. Without so much as a misstep, the blonde hastily exited the shop and headed for the depressing darkness that was the thirteenth floor.

Upon arrival to the grave-like floor of darkness, the blonde quickly swiped through his menus and brought up the friend locator. Selecting his comrade, the blonde quickly headed for the blinking indicator; drawing his sword as traveled.

Finding them was easier than he had expected. The mobs surrounding the two were nothing short of scary as their massive HP bars would naturally weed out any weenies who dare opposed. Wasting no time, the blonde quickened into a dash leaped into the masses. Stepping past the fair lady that accompanied the crimson commandant, the blonde lunged forward. Flashing a grin to Tristan as he flew by, his sword lit up as he crouched low and activated his <Charge>, all the while activating his sword art, <<Flashing Penetrator>>.

A rapid flurry of jabs rattled the soul's body as Oikawa unleashed his attack. The soul screeched in agony as its HP dropped into the yellow zone. Oikawa flicked his blade to the side and gestured to the couple behind him, "Aside from your wedding, what'd I miss?"
