Flints paused after her attack, she was about to turn to Tristan when suddenly a quick figure shot before her and attacked a near by darkened soul, her eyes widened as the golden haired man settled beside them after his show. "This must be who Tristan invited...." She thought to herself. She looked over to Tristan giving a small nod, still a little stunned as she looked the man over carefully, assessing him a little before losing interest and turning away. She wasn't sure what to say and was positive the question was directed towards Tristan so she just focused on the souls that surrounded them, each one seeming to dance on the edge of the circle they made around the group, slowly trying to close in on the three.

He then inquired about what they had missed out on, to which he replied with "Well, a lot. floor boss clearing. Azure Brigade becoming basically the only strong guild. Yeah my marriage and well uh, all sorts of other things. I'm sure you'll settle in quite nicely though, so no need to worry about it all. It will all come in its own time and that'll be that.". Tristan used howl again, which seemed to care off the monsters.

"Fair enough, well with that out of the way. Introduce me to...Flints? Was it? Still can't believe you settled down." Without losing a beat, the blonde maneuvered between the mobs and re-targeted the mob he attacked earlier. "Looks like we'll be here for a while."  Crouching once again, the blade brightened once more as brought his rapier back and sent it crashing into the mob. Visually the attack resembled a shooting star as he arc'd his blade and shot past the soul. "Your up lass," exclaimed the blonde as he looked towards Flints.

Flints looked at Oikawa and cocked her head a little. She indeed had heard her fair share of stories when it came to Tristan. Oddly enough she had yet to see if they were true, she loved the man for other reasons and she blushed at the thought of what she had heard about him and cursed under her breath. Thinking of how busy they had been lately it was a mix of constant questing and getting married. It all happened so...fast. Flints smiled to her husband and Oikawa and gave a little sigh. Realizing she was out of energy she scrunched her face in disapproval. "I cannot do much yet, it seems I've exaughted myself more than I expected to.." She felt defeated. Her energy crisis was one of her biggest flaws, she stared at her claws and their lack of the Deep teal glowing that usually surrounded them when she readied to attack.

Tristan nodded to them both, noticing Flints was still out of energy. He would have to make a large order for energy restoration food from Dom, who he was sure would have plenty stocked somewhere, for the next time they go for a fight. Tristan howled again at the enemy to draw their attention still while the two DPS players either struck or waited before they strike with their next move. Tristan cracked his neck and then waited, since the enemy seemed too fearful to attack.

Oikawa watched as Flints decided to take a break from the action. The blonde wondered what could be the problem. The issue seemed to be unclear until he looked at here health bar, or rather the bar beneath her health. Ahh she has no energy. She's exhausted herself far too quickly. Taking a glance at his own, the blonde took note that he was below half himself.  I suppose I should watch myself as well. We've only put a dent in two of them, there's still seven left. 

A sigh escaped him, as he also opted to sit this turn action out.  I have to be cautious as well. Though I do wonder why Tristan hasn't attacked yet. He's more than capable and I'm positive he has AoE attacks. Giving the red head a raised brow, Oikawa continued to dance around the various swings and attacks thrown at him.

Flints raised her head a little and watched the two, trying their very best. She gave a little huff and hoped this would teach her a lesson on not to forget energy restoration items. "I'm sorry, I get a little useless when I run out of energy!" She stated and smiled sheepishly at the two, "and hello, I guess I didn't get to properly introduce myself, my name is Flints. This is me trying to make small talk to make up for my lack of energy." She chuckled. Although she tried to make light of the situation she watched the souls carefully and each time the attacked Tristan, although he was capable of protecting him she couldn't help but worry and want to protect him in the only way she knew how, sheer force. She gave a little growl and waited for her energy to slowly come back to her.

Tristan nodded at them both as they conserved the energy, Tristan howling and seemingly making the Darkened Souls wish they never lived since they didn't attack again. "Well the reason I'm not attacking is not because of energy, but simply because I don't do enough for it to be worthwhile. You two should attack whenever possible though, especially if it reaches over 30 to get past that mitigation.". Tristan was honestly though annoyed that these monsters wouldnt strike him, which only delayed things in his eyes.

As another opportunity rolled around, the blonde once again opted to stay out of combat. However this time, he selected an item from his inventory and began to consume it. The light fluffy Wonderbread materialized into his hands. the effect upon consumption was a plus two damage boost at the cost of an evasion loss. This seemed suitable considering his latest build no longer took advantage of evasion. Jumping back behind Flints and Tristan, the blonde allowed himself to relax momentarily as he wolfed down the bread.  With the boost in damage, I can use less taxing sword arts. Giving them both his usual grin, the blonde cleaned his hands before returning to their side. "My apologies, I just remembered I had a few loaves of Wonderbread in my inventory. The bonus should kick in here in a bit."

Flints watched as the man took shelter behind Tristan and herself and cocked her head as he ate what seemed like...bread. Once Oikwawa stated it was to help move things along she nodded. Flints huffed impatiently at her own stamina loss and watched as the souls stumbled over eachother and hid from Tristan, to which she gave a small giggle At the fact that Tristan seemed annoyed by the lack of fight left in them. "this is going to be a longer battle than I ever expected.." She whispered more to herself than to the two men before her.

Tristan howled again, in hope that this time the enemy would actually hit him from the challenge. Luckily they this time went in for the attack, to which tristan grinned and blocked the attacks from the souls as they scratched him, doing minimal damage. The shield and other other effects activated and damaged the souls, thus causing the souls far more damage than they did to him, plus he healed with the effect of his armour.

"Alright! A hero emerges!" A man shouted as he fell from above. Lowenthal had to use his <Concentration> skill, but it was all worth it to make a small show. Lowenthal crashed down in front of one of the weaker monsters. He unleashed a string of combos that ended with a nice flourish, making nine strikes in total. "Hey Trist. Just got your message." Lowenthal looked over at the female who was with him. "Oh hey. I'm Lowenthal, by the way. Master of Shadows, and leader of the Velvet Room. A pleasure." Lowenthal said, turning to only now see a very familiar man. "The hell? Oikawa!" Lowenthal said, beaming. "Bout damn time you showed back up." He said, turning his attention back to the fight at hand.

As Oikawa figured, Flints hadn't quite regained enough energy to effectively deal with the souls. The mobs having noticed their lack of offensive firepower as well as Tristan's passive aggressive Howling, finally decided to launch an attack. This would be a mistake on their part. As the damage did nothing to Tristan, the reflected damage not only hit every single one of them, but it also hit for thirteen times the amount of damage they had dealt. Chuckling the blonde, was suddenly caught off guard as a familiar voice rang in his ears. Turning tot he source, his guess was indeed correct as Lowenthal executed a soul upon his arrival. 

Answering his question like statement, Oikawa targeted another soul. "Yeah my return has been long overdue haha. Glad to see you are doing well and still as boastful as ever. Now it's my turn." With lightning speed, the blonde rushed forward and speared the first soul he came into contact with. After the first blow, he followed up with four consecutive bursts of jabs. Jumping back, he watched as the soul's HP budged down to nearly half. If not for energy preservation, I would've nearly one-shotted it. Damn this new system.

Flints watched the two carefully, the souls finally decided to attack Tristan which was more costly to them than it would have ever been to him. Before Oikawa could get a hit in a man plopped down from the sky in a graceful manor, to which Flints hissed and practically leaped In front of Tristan in a defensive manor, her claws readied for a swift attack, dispite her not having stamina and it probably not doing much damage in her favor to top it off the tank needed  absolutely no defending. She scoffed and cocked her head once she realized they were all aquatinted. And conversed as if they were old buddies, she relaxed and became extremely flustered as the man named lowenthal settled for landing a blow on a soul and then Oikawa followed after, both of them conversing. She shifted around wishing she would Regan faster. It was ridiculous. She should have conserved her energy better from the start.

He chuckled when he also Flints move quite hostile in response, only to then change in response when she realised her mistake. He stroked her shoulder and said "Don't worry, Flints here is rather protective. She is nice though and I must admit, I do like how readily she bears her fangs.". He went in for an attack against the monsters, but as expected, his pitiful damage output did him no favours.

Lowenthal reach out with his kunai, it slicing into another one. He slashed twice in quick succession, forming a cross with the strikes. Again, another one of the monsters fell. "Alright, two down. And, a few more to go." Lowenthal said, seeing that there was at least five more left. Lowenthal looked at his energy meter, and saw that he had about a third left. Seriously? He thought. Two attacks, and I'm almost exhausted. Lowenthal checked his inventory, and saw that he didn't have any energy boosting foods. "Ugh, way to come unprepared idiot." Lowenthal said to himself, frustrated that he'd been reckless.

The quartet, albeit calm, were certainly feeling the pressure of the mobs. Despite having the strongest tank to date, as well as two well above average damage dealers, they were only scratching the surface of the souls before them. With only three down, Oikawa knew he would just a little more time to regain the energy to take them down. As he glanced around, everyone seemed to be well below half with their energy. I really should've gotten that badge made sooner. Until then, we'll just have to attack cautiously and hope they are dumb enough to continue attacking Tristan. "Flint's I don't have a clear shot for an attack, what about you?"

Her own breathing was all that she could hear. It drowned out the sound of her heart, pounding heavy in her chest and in her ears. The sound of her heavy armor, bouncing against each other and her body with sharp clinks and muffled thuds. The sound of her heavy footfalls, which carried her across the barren wasteland, and past the crooked headstones that cropped up around her. Her short, hitched breaths consumed her.

Her legs, lungs, and heart burned from the effort, each crying out in unison for her to slow down. Walk a little. Catch her breath. But she refused to give in to her body. Tristan's message had frightened her, far more than she would ever care to admit to him. The man had grown to be one of the most powerful tanks in the game, and if he was struggling, there was something very wrong. If she wasted any time at all getting to him, it could be too late.

It was not difficult to spot them as she approached Tristan's location. The redhead, his new bride, and two other players were already locked in heavy combat, fighting back an entire mob of frightening enemies. It was too soon to determine the severity of their situation, so she wasted no time throwing herself into the fray.

Without a word, the blonde launched herself toward the Darkened Souls, raking Hell Rose's crimson blade across the nearest four. Her blue eyes glowed with her sword as <<Fight Blade>> activated.

Flints smiled at the fresh blows that were finally starting to add up, at least now they had others to cover for her inability to attack now. things were finally looking up, she glanced to Oikawa and shook her head. "No, it wouldn't be worth it right now, I want to make sure even if it's only one hit that I pack a punch." She kept herself behind Tristan now, her not attacking left her no reason to be in the open. She noticed another quickly joined them, the blonde woman wasted no time in launching herself into battle, striking all of the darkened souls. Flints gave a small nod to signify a welcome to who she assumed was another old friend of Tristan's. Things were running smoothly now, as if they we're all a well oiled machine. These player's experience exceeded Flints' many times over, and in different ways. she was curious about them all but now wasn't the time to get overly acquainted. Tristan smiled when he saw that even more support came with Lessa, glad to see old comrades all return for fighting. Besides, this was a good way he thought for Lessa to get accustomed to the frontline again, with this being one of the hardest quests going right now. He watched as they all fought or relaxed to regenerate some energy, to which Tristan foun himself distracted and snapped out of thought.
