[OP-F11] Lions Tamed (Saying Vows wedding)

Tristan adjusted the tie on his wedding suit slightly nervously, at the front by the altar of the cathedral, looking out at the grand and decorated area that it was, his long flowing red hair going over the shoulders of his suit. Today was a big day, as this would be a big wedding, flashy like the only way a Commandant could do. After all he was the tank of Azure Brigade and he knew that if he didn't make it flash, Zelrius would probably disown him from Azure or something similar. Not that Tristan minded, he was proud of Flints and being together with her, using this to show it. There would after be an open invite afterwards for an afterparty too with food, drink and the cake, supplied by the other members of Azure Brigade. For now though, he waited for Flints to arrive, the rings in his pocket for when the fateful moment to arrive. The moment when they became Tristan and Kita Delaney.

(anyone posting feel free to be entering or already present and seated)

Hikoru sat silently in the middle pew on the left side. He wasn't all for weddings, but he knew Flits, and he wanted to be there for his fellow Guild Member. He tapped his fingers on his leg, feeling slightly uncomfortable but happy for the couple all the same. He looked around at the magnificent hall, and smiled at the beautiful work they did on the wedding hall. He loved the roses and everything they had added to the hall. He sighed and waited for the ceremony to began, excited for what was to come

Manta walked into the church to attend Tristan's wedding. She couldn't very well miss her friend and Commandant's wedding after all. She recognized one of her friends sitting on the left, and walked over to him, sitting down next to him. She didn't know him all that well, but she and him had a deal going on where he appraised her items. She felt that they were on good enough terms to be called friends. She leaned over. "Hey Hikoru." She whispered in greeting, not wanting to break the silence or draw too much attention to herself.

Celes switched to a beautiful a line dress,  making sure her legs looked good.  She knew that there would be pretty ladies at the wedding and she needed to be ready. Now before leaving she grabs a small vial from her shelves of potions- a wedding gift.

Celes walked into the cathedral and left a bag at one of the seats.  A prime spot for watching the ceremony.  She walked to Tristan and gave him a a warm hug "brother,  I'm so happy for you... "  She says with  a smile,  sliding the vial into his hands she whispers "this is for later tonight,  last one I have".  With a wink she walks back and takes a seat,  waiting for other guests to arrive.

Flints could feel herself start to shake, she was excited and extreamly nervous all at once. Her stomach was in knots. She gulped and took one last look at herself in the mirror, her eyes were the brightest green she had ever seen them, the little brown flecks visible and all. Probably because of the beautiful white gown that adorned her body. It was anything but subtle, yet extreamly pleasing to the eye. All her curves were accentuated perfectly and outlined in a very light blushed beige that went well with the deep Crimson she knew her soon to be husband was accented with, even her hair had peonies pinned in the subtle waves that were made in it for just this occasion, they too had the same toned down colour she was becoming very fond of. She paced back and forth and peaked into the grand hall and was breathless at all the effort that went into the event. "I don't even know how a wedding works.." she admitted to herself still waiting in the wings before she hurled herself out into the open, before everyone and her beloved.

The girl had arrived onto the 11th floor, and it had been a long time since one of these had happened. It was one of the fellow members of the Azure Brigaide that she had worked along side, and it was a special day for him. Tristan was one of those few players that had joined with her at almost a similar time, so she knew him a long time ago, from their times at Guardians. There was something to be said, he was similar to Zelrius, always making these events so flashy, but Rebekah didn't mind. After all, it showed that Azure had the money to spend on these events, which was because Zelrius and the guild had a lot of col, that they have saved. An event such as this really puts life into perspective at times, even though they are trying to clear the floors, life around them was continuing to move on. Rebekah wondered how many more people will show up today, and will it match Zel's birthday party. In the meantime, she walked over to find the lucky groom, and offered her congratulations before blending in with everyone else.

Shizuka was already here. She had actually been one of the first ones to arrive except she really didn't want to attract attention to herself and hence she sat down in the corner of the room. Indeed, there weren't anyone that she recognized in the magnificent church and she didn't mind. Of course, the reason behind was due to formal clothing... or rather, her lack of formal dressing. However, as more people started to walk in quietly, she realized that pretty much everyone was in their original normal clothing and then Shizuka let go of her worries. No matter, she was here for the wedding between two players and really, she didn't know any of the players very well. Indeed, the only reason that she was here is to congratulate her guild tank/commandant on his special event and even though she was here, she really didn't know Tristan that well except for when they went on a quest that gave Shizuka four Skill Points.

As the wedding had yet to start, she was looking around the room, taking a peek on the place. Indeed, she too might be doing this quest and well, it sure would be nice to pick out a good place and of course, this church sure was ideal. It was magnificent... filled with brilliant lighting and different trees that were well decorated. The windows were gigantic along with some nice, stained patterns that were located and engraved into the windows. Flowers were placed in organized areas and indeed, it was a quite a well, decorated area that was perfect for weddings. But where is the bride?  She thought as she looked around to see that she was not currently present. Probably preparing. Shizuka thought before settling back to her chair.

However, that was when the bride did indeed come out and Shizuka almost squealed from how pretty the bride looked. Her beautiful white gown trailed from behind her and she looked very energetic and filled with excitement for the wedding. Shizuka smiled as she watched the bride enter the room and soon, many more people will be pouring into this wedding in order to congratulate both Tristan and his bride.

Greg opted to pop up here because Shizuka was coming. He didn't know the newlyweds at all, but he decided to visit anyway and wish them the best of luck- it's only polite. He had heard of Tristan, though, considering he was known as the best tank in Aincrad. Taking a look around, he whistled at the beauty of the place. He would opt to sit next to Shizuka once he saw her amongst those already seated. Greg liked the atmosphere here- for one moment, one shining moment, Aincrad became a beautiful place, instead of the prison that Kayaba had turned it into. Seeing it bring people together like this, Greg couldn't help but smile warmly. He could've sworn he was on the verge of shedding tears of happiness for the couple. Taking a look at the man and soon-to-be wife, he nodded, thinking about what the two of them together would look like, and the image was a nice one. Greg then wondered what it would be like if he were up there, with Shizuka as the bride- he blushed at these thoughts. It was way too early for that, wasn't it?

Tristan's mind was awash with feeling. Not of any sort, just a muddle of pure feeling with how big an event this was in his life. He took a deep breath out to distil his nerves, albeit unsuccessfully. He was getting married for the first time. Sure, it wasn't a 'real' wedding, but it felt real. Aincrad was the world they lived in and the world they were getting married. He would worry about the implications of this in the real world another time, since today there was the here and now. When Celes gave him the hug he nodded with a blush, noticing what she gave her and pocketing it for another time later. "Thank you brother." is all he could say in his nerve ridden state as she walked to her seat.

Then...the bride came in. Kita was in full wedding gown and she looked more stunning than ever. The scene of it made him totally shoot the nerves away, or at the least put them aside. Kita walked through the cathedral towards where Tristan was, where took a breath to still himself, then took her hand up the steps to the altar, holding her hand and not letting go as they faced the NPC Priest in front of them. The priest began speaking, almost droning, in a quite low male voice with: "Thou who hast made it to the Shrine of Vows...O young lovers...In sickness and in health, as in times of fortune and misfortune...Dost though swear from the bottom of thy hearts to love, cherish, soothe, and help one another, so long as thou both may live?". Tristan looked at Kita with a smile and nodded, squeezing her hand, then said. "I do.".

Flints decided it was time. She took a deep breath and held her head high. "Now or never Kita, don't leave that wonderful man waiting." She whispered to herself, before she could tense up again she pushed foward past the doors she had been taking shelter behind she felt beautiful, adorned with the prettiest ensemble  she had ever laid eyes on, the power of the Azure Brigades riches. The place was beautiful. The love she felt for Tristan was wonderfully blissful. Her thoughts calmed as she realized she was walking up to Tristan, her hips swayed slowly in her walk, her eyes never left his as she reached for his hand and listened to the NPCs low voice. When Tristan uttered the words "I Do" she sported a light shade of pink across her cheeks. She smiled at him and said the same. "I Do" quickly they were both prompted with a   Menu that asked if they wished to accept the proposal. Without thinking twice, Kita accepted and embraced Tristan, her arms around his neck she grinned. "I think this is the part where you kiss me" she whispered to her newlywed husband.

"Thou hast sworn to love to one another before God's watchful gaze. In the name of God, I hereby declare thee husband and wife. May though never break thy divine oath..." The priest spoke, then closed their book with a smile and stood there, like they did the entire time before. Tristan also pressed confirm and put the jade ring he had onto her finger, which then was followed by a Kita hugging him. He felt overwhelmed with emotion when putting the ring on and the hug just tipped him over the edge, to which he picked her up and kissed her firmly on the lips before putting her back down. His entire body and spirit felt truly joyos, feeling like nothing could go wrong at all and that all is well. "Well then, Kita Delaney, it looks like we are married." he said with a chuckle stressing the name change.

Flints looked down at her hand which now had two rings that graced it. But to her, none of that mattered. Symbolically, yes. But really she was glad to finally say she was...Kita..Delaney. Her heart fluttered at the thought and she reddened when he picked her up with ease, she met him at the lips happily, their kiss sealing the deal. She had sworn her life to this man, things would only get better from here on out. She held his hand tight, once she realized that all eyes were on them. She held her head high trying to keep calm, cool and composed. but when she looked to Tristan she practically melted. "It would seem that we are indeed married, darling~" she said warmly, Flints couldn't hide the excitement in her voice, her body was still trembling. Her eyes sparkled as a wicked grin spread across her face. "What now?" She said, more as a challenge that a question, challenging her lover to take on the world with her. One day at a time.

Zelrius had showed up to the wedding late, that of many reasons. He was reluctant to come, as if not showing up would push back the reality of the events. There was a reason Zelrius was so against the Idea of Tristan getting married, that of which he would never dare say to another person. Before entering, Zelrius gave a final sigh, fighting back his real emotions, and in an instant, putting on a fake smile of happiness, just as convincing as any real one. By this point, Zelrius had pretended and faked his expressions and emotions long enough, he was a master at it by now. Entering, the golden haired Commandant found himself not the least bit disappointed with the events and decor of the party. He found himself seperating from the others in the event, Standing at a distance to the right of the main ceremony area, watching as the previously said ceremony took place. His smile remained, but on the inside, this event was eating away at him, slowly, for reasons the boy believed only he would ever truly understand.

His eyes followed as the Bride made her way up the to the area of vows, and Zelrius gave an inner scowl. He didn't hate or even dislike Flints, he had found her to be competent and nicer than most of those in the realm of Azure, certainly someone set a part from most everyone else. With that in mind, Zelrius looked around and gave an outer scowl to the sight of Greg and Shizuka. Now there are two players that I don't like. He thought in light of the situation. While it was true that Zelrius respected Shizuka, he still found reasons to be against her, for one point or another. Directing his attention back to the ceremony, Zelrius listened as they said the words the golden haired boy dreaded. It was that moment that Zelrius almost broke down, but alas, he didn't, the smile growing slightly larger to show increased happiness for his fellow Commandant and his bride. Walking up and giving Tristan a pat on the back, he spoke up. "Congratulations there, Commandant. Er, I suppose it's more of a feat to her than it is to you?" He spoke before giving a laugh and sending a Trade request to the bride, to send his wedding gift to Flints.

Jomei dressed himself in similar clothes to what he wore to Zelrius' birthday party, a white button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a green tie, and a black suit vest. This would be the first time he would be attending a wedding in Aincrad, so he wondered if it would be any different from the ceremony in the real world. Arriving at the location, Jomei stepped inside and took a look around at the well decorated church. He then found a seat in one of the pews, leaving him as a member of the audience for the wedding that was about to unfold. Jomei had to admit, he did not know Tristan very well.. nor Flints. However, he felt it would be unkind of him to not show his support for the newly married couple, especially since one of them was a fellow comrade on the front lines.

Jomei sat in the pew on his own, looking forward at the man who awaited his soon to be bride. He smirked when he noticed the man's nervous looks.. he had never seen Tristan, the man with impregnable defenses, sweat and pull at his collar. It was a nice reminder that we were all still humans with emotions trapped in this world. It was not long after Jomei had arrived, that the bride finally began to make her way down the aisle. Jomei and the rest of the room watched as Flints walked towards the crimson haired man waiting for her at the other end of the church. Once in the front, the priest spoke his lines, the two said their vows, and finally exchanged their first kiss as a married couple.

After all was said and done, Jomei made his way up to the front of the church, his hands in his pockets and a smile on his face. Once he found the newly married couple free from conversation, he brought his hand out of his pockets and shook Tristan's hand, "Congratulations lad, to you too Flints." He never would have thought these two would be the ones to tie the knot.. but then again, there was no choice in who you fall in love with. The thought came to his mind if he would ever find himself here, in Tristan's shoes. He smiled and looked around at the other patrons in the room.

"Shoot. I guess I was late for the crowning moment..."

Following a little bit after Zelrius was Calrex, entering inside with a smile on his face. However, this wasn't shown, as he was clad in the Grand Chariot: Legacy, which kept his face masked behind the helmet. Out of respect for the newlyweds, he didn't want to bring down the happy mood with the overly exhausted look on his face. Tristan had not seem his face once, even during the time that they went on the special event involving Azide, Takao, and the Leviathan monster.

"I can't stay in here for too long. Just stop by and give my congrats."

Following behind the Blood Buccaneer and his other good friend Jomei he walked up to the bridge and groom, giving a small bow out of respect, "My congrats to the both of you two."

Looking over at Tristan's bride Calrex felt a smirk come across his face as he couldn't help but give a small lighthearted joke, "It's a pleasure to meet you, albeit a brief one. Make sure you protect Mr. Invincible Warrior over here alright?"

Shaking both of their hands the Ultramarine Knight gave a nod to the redheaded man he considered a good friend, "Sorry I can't stay for long Tristan, but I'll be sure to catch you around. Let me know when you're free and we can go grab some drinks sometime."

"I'll be sure to prepare some kind of wedding gift for the two of them at some point. Right now I need to make sure Teayre's alright, then I can focus on other things."

Turning around he caught sight of many of the people he knew as he gave a nod to each of them as he made his way out of the cathedral, heading out of the safe zone while gently resting his sword arm on the Grand Blade as he equipped it, "Hopefully everyone there has a good time."

((OOC: gonna group them all :3))

Flints looked to Zelrius and the others who filtered in just in time. It calmed her nerves a bit to focus on something else. Once it was all done with Zelrius was the first to approach the two, she remembered him slaying the large Wyvren in one blow. She watched his posture carefully, how he held himself, how he smiled. It peeked her interest a bit. It was far too perfect. Something she knew all to well of. But lately all her actions had been true. She assured herself she was just over analyzing the guests. She noticed him offer a trade request and she curiously cocked her head slightly, looking straight into his eyes . "Oh?" She opened the menu to further glance at his offering.

Once they did a little more mingling The two were approached by jomei, she remembered her very first attempt at this death game she crossed paths with him, at least so she thought. It was all fuzzy. She nodded in approval at his words and smiled at him, happy to have met yet another person who was involved in their wedding. Getting to know everyone would have been difficult, but she wouldn't have minded trying.

As the night winded down she noticed somone, fully clad in armor still, she didn't question  it. She pondered about if she would have worn her armor instead of a gown would things have been different. Probably not. It was the nature of the word they lived in. She watched as he approached and bowed, wishing them well and joking about her protecting Tristan. "I'll try my best but I'm almost certain he doesn't need my help on that end." She gave a playful wink. Tristan wasn't called the Invincible Warrior for nothing. Flints sighed and looked to Tristan for support. She squeezed his hand, happy with all the things that were happening. "I love you" she whispered just enough for Tristan to hear.

The young woman had observed the ceremony from the last pew on the right. The venue, the party, and the bride had all been so beautiful; not a single thing was out of place. Except for Lessa. She shifted uncomfortably on the hard wooden seat, tugging on the hem of her loose-fitting dress as she crossed one leg over the other. She watched her old friend scoop his new wife into his arms, and whisk her down the aisle, an uneasy smile creasing Lessa's chapped lips. She was happy for him; that was the sole reason why she had made an appearance at all. Even with the room's high ceilings, she felt impossibly claustrophobic among the old faces. These were the same individuals that she had distanced herself from, and here they were, all together in one space. It was the nightmare that had kept her awake at night.

But Tristan had meant so much to her, once. She had spent many afternoons with him, introducing him to the game, and forging one of the few friendships that she had had since entering Aincrad. He had also been one of the first people to believe in her enough to join her guild. She needed to be at his wedding. She owed him that much. She forced her smile to grow wider as he passed her, though she doubted he noticed her; the love that she found in his eyes in that brief moment consumed him too completely.

Yes, Lessa was happy for Tristan. And she prayed that he would never be alone again.

Shizuka gasped. Indeed, she really hadn't thought of a suitable present to provide for the two unlike the others and well, she looked through her inventory before realizing that she had indeed prepared a present and now that everyone was going up to congratulate the newly wed couple, Shizuka thought that it was suitable for her to do the same as well. With a cheerful smile, Shizuka took a hold of Greg's hand before pulling him over to the front of the church where Tristan and his bride was being congratulated by a swarm of different people... Most of which she recognized being that they were either guild members or someone that she had met before. However, she did find it rather unusual that Calrex would just walk in and walk out on the marriage but she gave it no thought. He's probably busy with his grinding like always. Shizuka concluded before waving at the man and not being sure whether the bluenette had saw her.

Nevertheless, she literally dragged Greg up to the front of the room in order to say her congratulations to the man and his beautiful bride. "Congratulations! Even though I don't know both of you very well, except for the fact that I'm in the same guild as Tristan, I'd still like to say my wishes for both of you. Now, as a low leveled player, I really don't have that much to give to any of you... However, I do have this." Shizuka said with a true, wide smile. Indeed, she felt very happy for the couple and she couldn't hide her excitement at how romantic all of this was. "I present you with this happiness potion... Not something that holds value physically... But rather in a symbolic way. I use this potion in order to wish both of you forever happiness as a couple."

Zelrius nodded and took a step back in bowing to her trade request acceptance. "As a curved blade it may not be much to you, but I hope you understand the importance of a man giving another person his sword." He said, referring to Medieval culture of course. Raising slowly from his bow, Zelrius gave a short laugh, that of forced and strained, and quickly scorned himself in his mind. He took a step back from the pair, his heels of his dress shoes clicking in the great Cathedral in Taft. This is the place Zelrius spent most of his free time when he wasn't wandering aimlessly about or sleeping. Often times, Zelrius found himself sitting on the stairs staring at the grand ceiling above. The golden haired boy wasn't religious in any sense, but for some reason, he found comfort in the place. It was here that he had frequented with people whom he visited the floors here. Zelrius looked up to the balcony above the door, lined with seats, and a small bend in the rail to allow for people to lean in for a closer look. Rifiling through his inventory, the boy did anything to take his mind off the current situation, to no avail.

With a soft sigh, Zelrius looked back to Tristan and Flints, attempting to push his smile up more, but he just couldn't. The Commandant knew he should be happy at this moment, but even as he gave one more bow said "I wish I could stay for the party, Sir Tristan and Lady Flints, but I have something to attend to," and turned to leave, the boy's eyes stung with sadness. Slowly, the clicking of his heels along the perfectly clean Cathedral floor faded, the doors opened, and closed. Tristan was, in Zelrius's mind, the only person he could relate to and get along with, and now even he had someone else. He felt truly alone in the world.

Tristan took another breath and looked around, seeing the large number of people about in the crowd, some familiar faces he held dear, others newcomers to his mind or only faintly acquainted with. Well after all, he was the Commandant of Azure and a prominent frontliner, so he did have a somewhat reputation. He smiled happy to see everyone here. There were however a number of things on his mind though. Primarily Zelrius, the one man Zelrius trusted implicitly aside from Flints and Celes. Zelrius had grown distant from people as a whole and while he had revived the Azure Brigade and become more among people, he was also distancing himself from everyone. It might have not been by choice, but his reputation was placing him as a different person among them, almost like a deity, since as they say "It is lonely on the top". He was nott like Tristan who tried to connect with everyone and it worried him, as this wedding could pull him away with Zelrius. As the golden boy walked over and gave the gift, Tristan gave a smile at Zelrius and spoke gently and seriously, with "Thank you Zelrius. Just remember that while I'm now a husband, I am also still your fellow Commandant. I'll make sure to balance my time so you get the red head you always need. After all, who will protect you from the claws of death otherwise?" he chuckled and gripped his shoulder as he spoke, then let go as he swarmed by others. "You should join the party by the way, even Zero is going and he's more loner than you!" he shouted at Zelrius as he began walking away "Mope all you want, but food and drink makes many things better!".

Tristan nodded and shook the hands of Calrex and Jomei, nodding to them and saying "Well come to the party. Bring Teayre along, she needs to stop chasing her demons she can't kill and drink and eat together. Even as an orange she can come. And Jomei, be sure to bring joyous music with you!" with a grin. What caught his eyes though was someone here that he had not seen a year, the only long haired blonde woman he got to know closely in SAO, Lessa. His ex guild leader and someone who had been through a much. He smiled and waved at Lessa, or at least attempted to. He would need to send a message to her, since he was rather occupied at the moment. He then received a present from fellow Shizuka, which he gladly took and said "Thank you, the sentiment is very much taken. I hope you and that boy you dragged along do well too." he spoke gently as usual, which made it all the more teasing as he took the gift and said "I'm sure my love and I wll make good use of it.", giving her a kiss on the cheek.
